Chapter 573 Others Are Hell [Request for recommendation votes to continue reading]

"who are you?"

"Oh, I see, you're here to listen to my lecture."

Sartre's deep, magnetic, mechanical voice, full of masculine sensibilities, rang out, as if he were an eccentric old man.

For example, you like sweet tofu pudding, but where you live, all they sell is savory tofu pudding. So, in your colleagues' eyes, you never eat tofu pudding, which means you must dislike it.

In order to remove this label imposed on you by others, you have to explain yourself to them in order to remove the label and maintain your autonomy.

Besides labels, there are also differences in personality, individuality, lifestyle, thinking logic, and so on, which inevitably lead to collisions, conflicts, and struggles with others.

Even worse, some people take advantage of your good temper and personality to manipulate you, forcing you to take on work and responsibilities that you shouldn't have, and even encroaching on your time, freedom, and emotional well-being.

All external, man-made forces compel people to struggle against the object in order to maintain their own subjectivity.

"Everyone is self-centered, and there will always be barriers between you and others."

This insurmountable communication barrier, in my eyes, is 'hell'.

"I strive to free myself from the control of others."

Conversely, I also try to control others, while others try to control me.

"So, that old Pascal was a complete idiot. What about communication, mutual understanding, unity, friendship, and peaceful coexistence?"

It's all bullshit!

How is it possible for people to truly understand each other?

"If problems can really be solved through communication, then why is the world still rife with war, with robots and androids fighting to the death?"

Why do the robots in the village still fight each other for resources?
Even children imagine ostracizing and bullying each other?

"Facts have proven that people's joys and sorrows are not the same."

"Hell is other people!"

Faced with Sartre's philosophical debate, Chen Hong was unable to refute it for a time. Although the view was rather pessimistic and heavy, it did have some merit.

Chen Hong countered with a question: "Then how do we escape hell and build a world without hell?"

Sartre was silent for a moment, then said in a deep voice: "There is no way to get out of hell."

Hell is hell.

If you can jump out of hell, is it still hell?

Sartre was undoubtedly pessimistic; he only saw the cruel reality between people but was unable to solve the problems.

Chen Hong could only say, "Perhaps, by correctly understanding and dealing with the gaze and evaluation of others, and by correctly understanding and dealing with myself, I can escape this hell."

"Then, what is correct?" Sartre pressed.

"Maintain reasonable boundaries, live your life well, and make yourself live better and better."

As for others, help if you can, otherwise don't. True friendship is like water, pure and simple; try to stay away from those who might harm you.

Sartre laughed: "So, you admit that other people are hell?"

Otherwise, why would you maintain boundaries with others?
Animals only activate their self-protection mechanisms when they are harmed.

It seems that your environment isn't very pleasant, otherwise you wouldn't have developed the concept of boundaries.

When harm is done, one will instinctively maintain boundaries.

The statement "help if you can, otherwise don't" indicates that there have been many instances where helping others resulted in being hurt.

However, because you have helped each other through difficult times, you have retained some of the idea and spirit of helping others.

You are in this transitional phase. Once you get through it, it will be a phase where everyone is an individual, boundaries are defined, and there will be both teamwork and individual separation.

Chen Hong had to admit that the philosopher's sensitivity to interpersonal and social relationships was evident in just a few of his views and attitudes, yet he was able to deduce so much information.

“Ah, that’s normal.” Sartre looked at the village. “After all, survival is indeed the primary need, and that’s something you taught me.”

"The village is currently in a state of mutual support and seeking survival."

Perhaps Pascal can lead everyone to help each other and find a glimmer of hope.

Perhaps one day, when the great war ends and the world is at peace, we will move towards a world where everyone works together, even across borders.

Is this an inevitable choice brought about by the objective environment?
The environment shapes people, and conditions limit choices. The type of environment and objective productivity will give rise to the type of interpersonal relationships and social systems.

Human initiative, in turn, reacts to all of this, accelerating progress.

Perhaps, Chen Hong, there's some truth to the theory of matter you told me.

Sartre suddenly had an epiphany and found the connection between his idealism and materialism.

Chen Hong couldn't help but smile; this robot was interesting.

From Chen Hong's perspective, one can see Sartre's core intelligence shining, and his inner intelligence being sublimated.

Countless data have been reorganized and elevated, transcending the constraints of pure logic and rationality.

His philosophy allows his sensibilities and thinking to transcend the constraints of underlying code.

It goes a step further on the basis of awakening self-awareness and emotions.

"This is……"

"The light of the soul?"

"A robot, actually developed a soul?"

"Is this... a data stream soul? A quantum soul? A soul particle? A field soul? A philosophical soul? A worldview soul?"

"No!"

"This is the Soul of Machinery!"

Sartre opened his eyes, his machine spirit overjoyed.
