Chapter 243 Miles: Bitter Wine in the Throat and Heartache

"Yes, there are some." Peter saw the other person's gaze and responded quickly.

"I don't know what happened, but New York City is extra busy today. If it weren't for Miles, I wouldn't be able to get back so quickly."

Hearing Peter say this, Shadow Spider didn't say anything even though Peter brought back a character that was not invited. After all, Peter was the owner of this house.

Seeing this, Shadow Spider also greeted Miles, but that was all. If it weren't for Ultimate Peter's sake, he would have been ready to teach Miles a lesson in the Spider Camp.

"Come in quickly, everything is basically ready." Shadow Spider said and turned around and walked into the house.

Although Shadow Spider was very cold towards Miles, Ultimate Peter and Miles did not take it to heart. After all, they knew that Shadow Spider was a taciturn person, so they just took it as a normal performance.

As soon as Peter came in, he saw his wife Mary Jane, who was wearing an apron. The plain apron completely exposed her slightly bulging belly, announcing to everyone that a little life was growing inside.

"I saw Mr. Shadow walking towards the door, so I guessed that you were back." Mary Jane smiled gently, looking like a good wife and mother.

"Everyone is here, we're just waiting for you."

"It seems that I am indeed back very late." Peter handed the coat to Mary Jane with a smile. This was a scene that he would perform every time he came home. It was their little sweet moment. Spider-Man, who was busy running around outside and fighting crime, needed his wife to take over the coat every time. It was a kind of coquettish behavior.

"I guess they all saw it too?" Peter placed his hand gently on Mary Jane's belly, his face and words became softer, as if he was afraid of scaring anyone.

"I was going to announce it myself."

"Plans never keep up with changes." Mary Jane also looked happy. After hanging a pair of clothes on the hanger beside her, she held Peter's hand.

The two of them were so affectionate with each other that they didn't care about anyone else around them.

"Cough cough!" A cough broke the sweet atmosphere of the Parkers. Peter looked in the direction of the sound and found Yang Le leaning against the door frame, looking at him with a teasing look on his face.

"What a disgusting couple. Luckily they are not my parents, otherwise I would be in such trouble."

Faced with Yang Le's strange teasing, Ultimate Peter was not angry but looked happy. He walked up quickly and gave Yang Le a hug.

"Welcome, harpy." Ultimate Peter said after a short hug. It can be seen that he was really happy. After all, this not only saved his life, but also helped him solve a lot of troubles.

"I'm sorry, the situation was urgent last time and I didn't have time to talk to you." Yang Le said with a smile.

"Don't say that," Ultimate Peter said solemnly. "If you hadn't helped, who knows how many more people would have died. If you count that time, you can say you saved me twice."

This is not a lie. The Inheritors rely on their own restraint on the Spider-Men. Except for a few powerful Spider-Men, the Inheritors can really kill wherever they go. Even if the Spider-Men of average strength go in groups of three or five, they may not be able to take down an Inheritor.

"Let's not talk about this anymore." Peter decided the topic was a bit too serious and took the initiative to change the subject. "Where are Gwen and the others?"

"Chatting with Penny." Yang Le pointed to the living room behind him. "Maybe the atmosphere last time wasn't suitable for light conversation. It's only been a few days, but they still have a lot to talk about."

"Girls are like that," Mary Jane said, smiling as she walked over. "Isn't that what you guys do when you talk about football and games?"

"That's right." Ultimate Peter followed Mary Jane's lead in everything, as loyal as a soldier. Yang Le could only shake his head helplessly at this. After chatting with the two for a while, they walked towards the living room together.

Behind Miles and the others, there was a feeling of being forgotten, and their dislike for Yang Le increased a little.

"Don't just stand there, Miles." Luckily, not everyone had forgotten about the Black Spider, Mary Jane turned around and called out. "Come in quickly, the party is about to start."

Yang Le had actually noticed Miles a long time ago, but because he didn't like this character, he chose to ignore him. As long as Miles didn't come to him, he would definitely continue to ignore him.

As for Ultimate Peter, he really forgot about it, and he even apologized to Miles for it. Miles said he didn't care and went in with everyone.

Everyone was in the living room. Spider-Ham was sitting on a children's chair, shaking a red wine glass, with a hint of elegance in his childishness. Shadow Spider was sitting next to him, building a card tower. The failed Man was sitting next to Shadow Spider, chatting with him.

Penny and Gwen sat cross-legged on the sofa and chatted. They both looked very excited, especially Penny, who looked very cute.

There was a slime-like object on each of their shoulders, which was the split body of the shapeshifter, and there was also a spider on Penny's head.

"You're back." Gwen noticed Yang Le at the entrance of the living room and greeted him.

"It's me who came back from outside, why does it seem like you were the one who went out?" Peter seized the opportunity and responded to Yang Le's teasing.

Seeing him being so childish, Yang Le just found it funny. He made a friendly gesture and walked towards Gwen. Seeing this, Ultimate Peter also returned a friendly gesture.

"Peter!"

Hearing this voice, not only Ultimate Peter, but all the Peters in the room shrank their necks. Everyone turned their eyes over and saw Aunt May standing at the door with her hands on her hips.

"Did I just see you make some gestures you shouldn't have made?"

"That's not the case, Aunt Mei. Let me explain!"

Looking at the Ultimate Peter being scolded, the other Peters breathed a sigh of relief, the memory of the good guy's death suddenly attacking them just now.

Yang Le nodded with satisfaction. The warm scene before him was what Peter Parker should have.

Gwen, who was beside him, misunderstood Yang Le's meaning, thinking that he was feeling smug about having tricked Peter, and elbowed Yang Le lightly.

"Boss, don't elbow me." Although Yang Le didn't know why he was hit, he still looked at him for mercy. Gwen was amused by him and started to rub the place where he was elbowed, even though she knew he hadn't used any force at all and it couldn't be that painful for Yang Le.

Penny, who was beside them, looked at them speechlessly. Even the split body and the spider were in speechless gestures.

It was not only Penny who was staring at Yang Le and the others, but also Miles, who tried hard to look away as soon as he came in, but still unconsciously shifted his gaze over.

Seeing the two people being so sweet, Miles felt indescribably depressed. He really wanted to find a punching bag to vent his anger.

Unfortunately, Peter's house is not a boxing gym. Miles, who has nowhere to vent his anger, can only grab the drinks on the table next to him and drink them all in one gulp.
