Chapter 1381

The fact that a major battle was imminent was something that every member of the Justice League and the Young Justice League knew.

Apokolips is arguably the most powerful known enemy since the Justice League was formed, and this matter weighed heavily on everyone's minds like a mountain.

Especially for those who experienced the First or Second Apokolips War, the horror of Apokolips is still etched in their minds.

The endless army of Parademons falling from the sky could be anyone's nightmare.

Even so, life goes on, and these battle-hardened people have turned this experience into motivation.

Before the war broke out, everyone continued to live their lives in their own way.

Some people began to cultivate their skills, hoping to improve their combat power before the war arrived. Others started scientific research, just like Yang Le, wanting to use their inventions and creativity to rewrite the course of the war.

Finally, there are those who take the opportunity to enjoy life.

Of course, these people are not despairing about the upcoming war and giving up, nor are they arrogant megalomaniacs who have absolute confidence in their own strength.

They were simply enjoying a rare moment of peace, after all, they had just experienced a major event not long ago.

They were all prepared to give up their lives in the face of the impending interstellar war; now they were simply trying to leave behind some beautiful memories for their lives, which might end at any moment.

Kid Flash is one of them. He believes he can't improve his speed anytime soon, so he decides to go on a date with his girlfriend, Artemis.

In the previous Zul'a incident, Artemis faced Zul'a alone, but fortunately, the latter was still a relatively normal person at the time.

The Joker's mind wasn't affected too much, so Zul'A simply knocked Artemis unconscious and then locked her up in the interdimensional prison along with the other superheroes.

After being released, Artemis did not participate in the subsequent operations due to her injured hand, so she went straight home and helped Barbara with some family issues.

Wally the Kid is currently standing downstairs at Artemis's house. The two had arranged to meet on the phone beforehand, so there's no fear of him waiting foolishly.

While waiting, Wally scrolled through his phone and subconsciously clicked into their Junior Justice League group chat. Of course, although the group was set up using internal software, their group chat name was not Junior Justice League, but rather Interest Group.

After all, they hadn't forgotten that the normal entrance to their base was the activity room for interest groups in the Mr. Excellence Building.

In the group chat, everyone unanimously reported their plans for the day, which is a habit of theirs, in order to prevent any unforeseen circumstances from preventing them from participating in the next action.

The first message in the group chat today was from him. He asked Captain Robin if she would be taking any action today, and if not, he was going on a date with Artemis.

Robin followed with his reply, stating that there would be no action today and everyone was free to move around and enjoy the rare tranquility.

"Of course, although it's free time, it's best if everyone still reports their movements as before, in case of any emergencies."

After Robin's words, everyone reported their activities for the day, as usual. Like Boy Flash, Superboy and Martian Girl were also going on a date in the Metropolis.

When Kid Flash saw this, he wanted to organize a party, but Superboy refused, saying he wanted to spend some time alone with his girlfriend.

Zatanna is going to learn magic from Mr. Zatara, while the others are mostly spending time with their families or training more, hoping to increase their chances of winning the upcoming war.

It's clear that the members of the Young Justice League, most of whom had experienced wars but hadn't actually participated in the war against Apokolips, were still quite nervous.

On the other hand, assistant heroes like Robin and Kid Flash, who debuted earlier, didn't seem as nervous because they had participated in the previous two wars.

Finally, Robin also announced his plans: he would be undergoing some rehabilitation training.

Actually, Robin didn't tell the whole story. He also had a task to teach a new recruit, who was none other than Barbara Gordon, who had played a key role in the previous operation.

In fact, Robin did not initially intend to teach Barbara to be a superhero, even though the latter was forced to learn many of the Justice League's secrets.

Initially, Robin only intended to train Barbara to become an administrative staff member, just like he had done before.

But Barbara herself didn't think so. Although she was a model child in the eyes of her teachers and parents, she was actually a very opinionated and rebellious girl.

She didn't want to sit on the bench all the time. What was the difference between that and a regular job? The only difference was that she got a little more bonus than a telephone operator.

Even if the Justice League had a complete and luxurious welfare policy, Barbara didn't intend to live such a boring life. Otherwise, she wouldn't have run out at night because of a clueless code.

Keep in mind that it was Gotham City at night, and she was just a little girl, a girl who had been kidnapped by a supervillain not long ago.

But that's exactly what Barbara did, and even Robin and many members of the Justice League had to admit that Barbara did an excellent job.

It may seem like Barbara didn't do anything, but if she hadn't rescued Robin in the first place, Yang Le would likely have faced an even worse situation.

Even Yang Le acknowledged Barbara's prowess, so naturally no one dared to underestimate this seemingly ordinary girl.

Barbara was incredibly clever; she took Yang Le's words as a royal warrant and used them repeatedly to shut Robin up.

Finally, Robin got fed up with the situation and, in a way, came to her senses, so she agreed to teach Barbara.

Of course, Robin doesn't guarantee that Barbara will become a superhero; he's just doing this to teach her some self-defense techniques.

It is obvious that Barbara will not be able to participate in the upcoming war on Apokolips. Although it is not yet clear how the next battle will be fought, even the Justice League cannot guarantee that Earth is absolutely safe.

Therefore, Robin decided to teach Barbara some skills so that she could protect herself.
