Chapter 1320 The Death of the Clown

Chapter 1320 The Death of the Clown
"Finally, it's just you and me left."

Roy clenched his fist, and his mechanical arm erupted with a burst of indigo electricity.

Considering the robotic arm's previous performances, such as smashing a motorcycle with a punch and launching missiles, the Joker felt a chill run down his spine.

"Well, well, well~"

The Joker feigned composure, but people misunderstood him; he wasn't entirely unafraid of death.

If the clown can accept dying a spectacular death for a groundbreaking joke, what he cannot accept is dying casually.

In the Joker's eyes, dying at Roy's hands was a relatively casual death, because all he wanted to do now was be intimate with Batman.

"Don't bother trying to persuade me with your silver tongue, Joker, you must die here today!"

Roy raised his right hand in a gun gesture and pointed his index finger at the Joker. Just as the Joker was wondering what was going on, he saw Roy's index fingertip open, revealing a dark hole.

"boom!"

After a sharp gunshot, Roy's index finger began to smoke, and the Joker fell backward in disbelief, a bloody hole appearing in the center of his forehead, from which blood gushed out.

The Joker, Batman's number one enemy, died outside Gotham City, striking fear into the hearts of the Gotham residents.

The flowing blood quickly formed a small puddle, which, combined with the clown's makeup and strange smile, looked utterly bizarre.

"No! Sweetheart!"

As soon as Harley Quinn got up from the ground, she witnessed a scene that made her eyes widen in horror: her most admired spiritual leader was lying on the ground like a dead dog.

Harley Quinn, enraged, picked up the metal baseball bat that had been crushed in half and charged at Roy once more.

However, no matter how angry she was, the outcome would not change. Roy raised his hand, intending to deal with Harley Quinn as he had dealt with the Joker, when he saw a blue sphere being thrown at her feet.

"boom!"

A sound like shattering glass rang in her ears. Harley Quinn was about to look down to see what was making the sound when she saw a cloud of blue smoke rise up and enter her body with her breath.

"What...is this...something..."

Harley Quinn felt her eyelids drooping and her whole body was so weak that she collapsed to the ground a moment later.

The metal baseball bat clattered to the ground, and Harley lay sprawled on the floor like a puppet out of control.

"Whee!"

Roy found the scene before him hilarious and couldn't help but laugh out loud. He wanted to continue laughing, but he controlled himself after seeing Yang Le transformed into Pu Ba.

"Alright, that's enough for today. We have other things to do."

"What is it?" Roy glanced at the clown lying on the ground, feeling unusually good.

This feeling was even more pleasant than flying leaves; if it weren't for his respect for Yang Le, he probably would have jumped up.

“Of course it’s a very important matter.” Pu Ba walked over to Roy’s side in a few steps. Just as Roy was about to ask more questions, Pu Ba suddenly raised his right hand and sprayed a cloud of white gas at him.

"Cough cough!" Roy had no guard up against Yang Le and was hit squarely by the white gas, taking a big gulp.

The cool minty scent traveled through Roy's body through his nose, and he felt an unprecedented clarity in his mind. The suppressed smile he had been suppressing also inexplicably disappeared.

"What are you doing?"

Roy didn't know why Yang Le was doing this, but he guessed that the gas was beneficial to him, so he not only didn't get angry, but also patiently asked.

“You should realize something’s wrong with you.” Puba walked past Roy toward the Joker, spraying the white gas as he went, as if he were spraying disinfectant.

"The Joker is a very dangerous guy. You should have read his information. He carries a lot of chemical agents that are ineffective against himself but well-known to ordinary people."

"Things like sulfuric acid are child's play. The most powerful thing is the laughing gas he developed himself. This stuff can make people die in a very painful way."

"What I'm going to say is that the Joker actually has a compound hidden in his body that only triggers when he loses his vital signs."

"This thing doesn't have any direct killing power. Its only effect is that anyone who inhales it will gradually become like him."

Puba pointed to the clown lying on the ground, who was now almost invisible, shrouded in white gas, with only a rough outline visible.

"You mean... I'll become the clown?" Roy's expression changed drastically. He suddenly remembered the barely suppressed laughter he had just let out, and broke out in a cold sweat.

"Thank you, you saved my life again." Roy quietly took a few deep breaths of the white gas, and the feeling of clarity returned, which gave him some peace of mind.

"But how did you know the Joker would do that?" Roy asked, then immediately explained, "Don't get me wrong, I'm not doubting you, I'm just genuinely curious."

Puba waved his hand, indicating that he didn't care, and said, "This is related to my background. You can check the Justice League's files when you get back. There is my information in there. I won't go into details."

How else could Yang Le have known about it? By reading comics, of course. The famous Wei Yixiao was known even to casual viewers who didn't read comics. He was DC's cash cow during that period.

Although DC clung to this cash cow in the later stages and made a mess of things, coupled with the classic bad ending, Wei Yixiao gradually went from being a highly praised character to a ridiculed character.

However, it must be admitted that the Batman Who Laughs is indeed a very powerful enemy. The Joker plus Batman is not just one plus one equals two.

However, as I said before, parallel universes are full of infinite possibilities, and each seemingly identical universe is actually quite different.

Not every Joker in every universe is like the Joker in the Batman Who Laughs universe, planting landmines in his own body, but Yang Le, adhering to the principle of "better to kill the innocent than let the guilty go free," turned into Pu Ba ahead of time.

Sure enough, as soon as he transformed, he saw Roy's tense, ambiguous expression, and Yang Le couldn't believe he wasn't poisoned.

Fortunately, Poopa is a cure for these things. It's just a clown virus. After taking a breath of it, I know how to break it.

After concocting the antidote, Yang Le not only cured Roy, but also began spraying large quantities of it around Roy's corpse with the determination to thoroughly marinate the clown.

He only stopped when Pupa could no longer absorb the clown virus.
