Chapter 1244 Jason's Fate and the Mysterious Again

Yang Le didn't actually have a stable source of materials. He used to do things by stealing from others. He stole N metal from Hawkman, and the other rare metals came from Dr. Tomorrow's legacy.

Calling it an inheritance isn't quite accurate, since the person has only become a vegetable and, thanks to the careful care of the red tornado, is still a long way from death.

Red Tornado himself didn't care much about Doctor Tomorrow's assets, and the Justice League only processed the latter's various research materials, which were approved for use by Yang Le as soon as he applied.

This is because those who need these materials for research usually have their own inventory and stable sources, so they don't care about Dr. Tomorrow's paltry sums.

Because Dr. Tomorrow created the ultimate robot, Red Volcano, he didn't actually have that many materials left.

After all, Rome wasn't built in a day, and the same applies to building robots. Even though three super robots had already been created, they still took several detours when building the Red Volcano.

Taking detours naturally comes at a price.

Even so, Dr. Tomorrow's legacy is still quite substantial for Yang Le, at least enough to support his research into new alloys.

But even the most abundant supplies will eventually run out, and Yang Le's inventory has recently started to run low. Batman, in a way, is like providing a pillow when he's about to fall asleep.

Yang Le didn't mince words and reported all the places where materials were needed to Batman, such as the War World, no, now it should be called the Cybertron modification project.

Yang Le frankly told Batman about his Noah's Ark-like plan, and just as he expected, the latter immediately agreed to it, since he had already started doing something similar before.

The two hit it off immediately, and Batman took the opportunity to participate in the plan. At the same time, he gave Yang Le the green light at several untraceable shell companies that had no connection to Wayne Enterprises, and various materials would be secretly delivered to him.

Since Batman was so agreeable, Yang Le didn't hesitate either and agreed to his request.

He also happens to need an assistant recently. Although he already has Roy as a candidate, the more people the better.

Moreover, Roy and Jason do indeed fit Yang Le's requirements. For various reasons, both of them have become anti-heroes in the comics.

Ruthless and merciless towards enemies—these are exactly what Yang Le needs.

It's a pity that Jason is still too young and hasn't been to school for more than a few days. He probably misspells several words. All we can say is that he has a bright future ahead of him.

“But Bat, you know our family situation, so I can’t just bring Jason home.” Yang Le spun around in place using a swivel chair.

"So, if I want to adopt him, I'll have to build another house somewhere else."

“I’ve already taken care of it for you,” Batman said directly. “To keep you from going too far, the new house is right in Metropolis, close to the best elementary school in Metropolis, and the transportation around here is very convenient.”

"You've been prepared all along?" Yang Le frowned. "You're talking as if you're absolutely certain I'll agree."

“That’s one of my properties,” Batman explained. “But I just transferred it to your name. It’s a combination lock, and the combination is Cassandra’s birthday.”

“Okay.” Yang Le accepted Batman’s explanation. “So when can I see my adopted son?”

“Come to the Gotham Police Department this afternoon. There will be a car with license plate number xxxx parked in the parking lot. The people in the car will complete all the formalities and hand them over to you. You can just pick them up then.” “I really like how efficient you are,” Yang Le praised. “No wonder so many women are after you.”

Batman did not reply to Yang Le's teasing, but instead hung up the call. This rude behavior did not anger Yang Le, but instead made him realize something was amiss.

"Has this bat... suffered a setback in its love life recently?"

Yang Le looked at the communicator in surprise. You know, the Batman of the past seemed to be hard to mess with, but in reality he was very good at joking. As long as you didn't cross his bottom line, he wouldn't mind if you were a little flirtatious.

Even Superman occasionally jokes about Batman's popularity with women, and the latter has never gotten angry. So why did he refuse to communicate after Yang Le just said one sentence today?

"Emmm~ I see!" Yang Le figured out the key point in just two seconds.

"This kid, did he get caught by Catwoman when he was meeting Talia? That would be such a shame."

Yang Le looked regretful; not being able to witness such a fun-filled chaotic scene would be one of the biggest regrets of his life.

"That's right!" Yang Le clapped his hands. "I'll just use the Clock King to watch it later, and I'll record it to keep as a treasure, hehehehe!"

With a wicked grin, Yang Le continued his modification plan for the robotic arm. He had been working on a crucial part of the process, which he had thankfully completed without incident.

In fact, not long ago, Gwen had visited him once. Although she just came over for a casual chat, she shared a lot of interesting things with Yang Le.

For example, a Marvel game was recently released in the real universe, in which many comic book characters were made playable, which was very popular with Gwent, a hardcore Marvel fan.

Unfortunately, the game has a terrible ELO system, which Gwent hates, so he came to Yang Le to complain about it.

Although he was being called a dumping ground for criticism, Yang Le listened with great interest until he heard Gwen Steward explain the skills of some of the heroes. One character's ultimate ability gave Yang Le a lot of inspiration.

That character also happened to have a mechanical arm, that's right, it was the Winter Soldier himself, and the constantly refreshed ultimate move and the mesmerizing ultimate move voice lines gave Yang Le an idea.

He decided to add a similar ability to Roy's mechanical arm, and the more difficult part was how to add a kill threshold to real people, just like in the game.

Wow! What a coincidence! Yang Le had just acquired an interesting technology in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles universe: a powerful virus from a virus bomb.

Once infected with this virus, not only living things but also machines can be infected with the high-risk virus. It can be said that once infected, it is almost certain death.

However, one thing leads to another. Once a solution to the kill line was found, the next challenge was how to create a container that could hold the virus.

Finally, after discussing it together, several highly intelligent aliens came up with a solution.

That is to create containers that contain viral antibodies.
