Chapter 1163 Damian's Great Adventure One Wave Subsides, Another Rises
Chapter 1163 Damian's Great Adventure (5) One Wave After Another
"It has ended."
Damian said this, but he didn't let his guard down at all. If Kara made the slightest move, he would not hesitate to slit her neck.
The reason he didn't act directly was because he wasn't sure if Kara, Schreid's adopted daughter, had any other purpose.
Of course, Damian's pity was based on his own safety. If Kara were to do anything that threatened him, he wouldn't mind sending her to her death.
Kara was panting heavily, whether from the fight or from the threat of a knife to her neck, it was hard to tell.
"I don't know if you Bigfoot Ninjas have any special rules, but I think she lost her eligibility to run for election when she lost to me, right?"
Damian looked at the elite ninjas, who this time gave their answer without even consulting each other.
“That’s right, you used a duel to compete. Since Kara lost the duel, she has lost the right to lead us. But that doesn’t mean you are qualified to lead us.”
“You guys are really stubborn.” Damian frowned. “What should I do?”
“You must at least become a master,” the elite ninja replied.
"A master? What are the standards for becoming a master?"
When faced with Damian's questions, the elite ninja answered them all, showing that he actually intended for the former to lead them.
After all, Damian looks to be less than ten years old, but his abilities far surpass those of Kara. Even a fool would know who to choose.
As for why they don't directly acknowledge a master, it can only be said that the ancestral laws cannot be changed.
"In the vast multiverse, there is a powerful warrior whose name is Supreme Name."
"The Supreme Name is Martial. He regularly summons martial artists from the multiverse to hold the Multiverse Martial Arts Tournament. Participating in that tournament and becoming the final victor will make one a true master."
Damian lowered his head and pondered for a moment before asking again, "When will that conference begin?"
"It'll be soon." The elite ninja calculated the time. "The tournament is estimated to start in two days. If you want to participate, we can help you register."
"Things have come to this point, there's no reason for me not to continue."
As Damian spoke, he sheathed the knife. Kara was no longer of any use, so there was no need to hold her hostage any longer.
After being released by Damian, Kara knelt helplessly on the ground. The words of the elite ninjas were undoubtedly a death sentence for her. If she couldn't control the Bigfoot Ninjas, then she couldn't become Shredder.
Damian had no time for kindness, nor did he have anything to say to Kara, the loser. Instead, he continued to discuss the competition with the elite ninjas.
"Bigfoot Ninja will help you with the most basic issues for participating in the competition, such as registration, but we will not provide you with any further assistance beyond that. That's the rule."
"Is there any more detailed information about that martial arts tournament?" Damian actually wanted to ask about the strength of the participants. If all the participants were at the superhuman level, he felt he could just forfeit.
There are many ways to prove yourself; it's not worth risking your life.
If it were someone like Batman, Damian felt he could still give it a shot, since the former is an ordinary person, not a superhuman, and even a stab will draw blood.
“I’m sorry, we can’t help you with that.” The elite ninja shook his head. “Ever since Shredder guided the Bigfoot ninjas, none of us, including our predecessors, have been there for a thousand years. What I’m telling you now is all from ancient texts.”
It seems I really have to rely on myself.
Damian accepted reality and left the rooftop under the watchful eyes of the Bigfoot ninjas. This time he took the elevator down, since there was no longer any need to hide.
After saying goodbye to the Bigfoot ninjas, Damian returned to the Underground City without any obstacles. The round trip took him about three or four hours. By then, the people stationed in the Underground City had already started their dinner.
Led by the turtles, Kara and the other previously modified people started a bonfire party. They sang, danced, and made a ruckus, fully displaying their human limbs, as if showing off something.
Amid the lively atmosphere, many Atem people joined in, and even the guards enjoyed a leisurely time after lining up for their shifts, since their common enemy, Shredder, had been defeated.
Damian was thinking to himself, "Isn't it a great achievement that I just defeated someone who wanted to inherit the title of Schreid and take revenge on everyone here?"
However, the thought only flashed through his mind for a moment before he dismissed it. Damian was not one to seek grand achievements, and besides, he had some tasks to complete at the moment.
Without alerting anyone, Damian quietly returned to his old car. Once inside, he discovered that Yang Le was already there, cooking something at the stove.
"You're back?" Yang Le didn't even turn his head. Damian also saw that there were no obvious reflective objects in front of the stove, and he didn't know how the former had found him.
"Hmm." Damian simply nodded in response, then walked straight to his usual seat. After a busy day, he needed plenty of rest to deal with the troubles to come.
"You walked in looking so troubled. Don't you have anything to say to me?"
Damian had just closed his eyes to rest when he heard Yang Le's voice. When he opened his eyes, he saw the latter standing in front of him holding two bowls.
"I made some cream of mushroom soup because I suddenly felt like having it."
This was the first Western food Yang Le encountered besides KFC and McDonald's. He was captivated by its rich milky flavor when he was a child. Although he doesn't love it as much now that he's grown up, he still craves it if he doesn't drink it for a long time.
Damian did not refuse; he did need to eat. The rich, creamy soup paired with garlicky bread was truly tempting.
Slurping up soup and crunching on bread, Damian recharged his energy, oblivious to everyone else.
"What's wrong? Did you run into some trouble while you were out?" Yang Le had just sat down when Damian had already finished a piece of bread. He guessed that the latter must have done something particularly strenuous.
Damian didn't answer immediately. Instead, he picked up the bowl and gulped down the soup inside. It wasn't because he was that hungry, but because he needed to use the time it took to drink the soup to cover up his thoughts.
