Chapter 1155 Virus Bomb
Modo's words made Yang Le stop what he was doing: "If you want to survive longer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you'd better always have a sense of awe for things you don't understand."

Even though Yang Le possessed the Little Broken Watch and had some control over the X-Man body, he would still abide by this rule.

Yang Le glanced at the time displayed on the screen. Qu Ruier had set a countdown of ten minutes, and only thirty-odd seconds had passed. So he asked.

"Let me explain what slender is."

"This is a bomb developed by Qu Ruier himself. The detonator inside the bomb is not something like gunpowder as we know it, but a special virus."

Modo looked warily at the bomb in the distance, then explained, "This virus can infect everything it comes into contact with, and it spreads very quickly. Fortunately, it only infects targets it comes into direct contact with."

He then glanced at the scarlet cracks that covered the room and sighed, "The virus has probably infected the entire building by now. Fortunately, Qu Ruier set the bomb countdown to ten minutes to make it easier for him to escape, which has made things easier for us."

"Go and gather everyone together. We'll use the teleportation device to escape."

Modo instructed the guards behind him that after Qu Ruier fell down, the Bigfoot Ninjas had lost their will to fight. Those who could run had all run away, and those who couldn't run were either captured or knocked unconscious.

The guards sheathed their swords and turned to carry out their orders. Modu turned around, intending to call Yang Le and the others to escape together, when he heard the latter's voice.

"If it could be touched, could the bomb be defused?"

"What?" Modu looked at Yang Le in surprise. "This... of course, but as you said, you can only do it if you want to touch the bomb."

"Moreover, regardless of whether the bomb is defused or not, the virus injected into the body cannot be eliminated; the bomb itself is merely a carrier and detonator of the virus."

"Just tell me how to defuse the bomb, and I'll figure out the rest."

Yang Le took the shapeshifter out of the Omnitrix, split it off, and tried to use it to defuse the bomb for the first time.

However, the invincible shapeshifter failed to continue its legend this time. The small part that separated was infected by the virus the moment it came into contact with the bomb, and it also crashed the moment it was infected, lying on the ground like a lump of mud.

“Nanobots won’t work,” Modo tried to persuade Yang Le. “We’ve tried it; any mechanical device that comes into contact with the virus will be infected.”

"Quiet, quiet." Yang Le recalled the shapeshifter, started spinning the Omnitrix, and tapped the dial after selecting a suitable alien hero.

After the white light, a ghostly figure that looked like a traditional ghost appeared.

"Let's see if the virus can infect inanimate objects now!"

After transforming into a ghost, Yang Le's voice was as grating and unpleasant as a sharp knife scraping across a blackboard, causing Modu to frown deeply.

In reality, the virus's power far exceeded Yang Le's imagination. It was certain that more than 80% of the alien heroes in the little broken watch would be unable to handle this thing. Yang Le could only think of four countermeasures at the moment.

The first one I tried was using a shapeshifter, since it's good against mechanical things, but unfortunately it failed.

The second method is to use ghosts, taking advantage of the fact that the Ikturians are not truly alive, to bypass the virus.

Third, use Clock King to rewind the virus to a point before it was started. Fourth, use the invincible X-Man.

Even without having experimented with them, Yang Le could be certain that the latter two methods were 100% guaranteed to succeed. They were his backup plans, which was why he wanted to try the first two uncertain methods first.

Even if he becomes a ghost and gets infected, Yang Le can use the Clock King to make the virus disappear. This gives him the confidence to try and fail. As long as it doesn't involve causality or things that transcend time, the Clock King has a way to deal with it.

Under the tense gaze of everyone, the ghostly claws touched the time bomb. The expected red cracks did not spread to him, and Yang Le successfully avoided the virus.

"It actually worked..." Modu was initially surprised, but then quickly realized what was happening and told Yang Le how to defuse the bomb.

Following instructions, Yang Le used his sharp claws to dismantle the bomb step by step. After a dozen seconds, the countdown on the screen stopped, then turned into a string of zeros before the screen went dark.

"The bomb has been defused." Modo wiped the sweat dripping from his forehead and looked at his companions around him with relief.

Yang Le picked up the bomb. This thing was indeed a good thing. For ordinary living beings and most machines, this thing was a deadly nemesis.

It's unclear just how potent the virus in the bomb is, and whether creatures with exceptionally high resistance, like Kryptonians, can kill the virus with their physical abilities.

Having an idea, Yang Le naturally put the bomb in his pocket, intending to take it back and study it, hoping it might become a trump card.

Modu saw everything, but he wisely didn't mention it. Instead, he repeatedly thanked Yang Le, since the latter had saved them.

"It's a pity that your base still couldn't be saved." Yang Le looked at the scarlet cracks around him. Just as Modo had said before, even if the bomb was defused, the virus would still parasitize the already infected objects.

"It's nothing. Now that these viruses no longer have detonators, they have entered a dormant state, and in this state they are no longer dangerous."

Modo shook his head, indicating that Yang Le didn't need to worry about it.

"However, in order to prevent the enemy from bringing detonators to activate these viruses again, this base cannot be used until we develop a virus serum."

Because of the nature of the virus bomb, they had no way to preserve any usable samples, and his understanding of the virus bomb was built upon the sacrifices of his compatriots and guards.

As for why he was able to command Yang Le to defuse the bomb, it's because the detonator of the virus bomb was just the most basic Artemian technology. If there were no threat of the virus, even an Artemian child could easily defuse it.

"So you need to find a new base, right?"

The four turtles looked at each other, and then Donatello stepped forward.

"Perfect, I can find you a place to stay, but I'll need some of your help."
