Chapter 1144

"Nothing is impossible."

"Don't do anything foolish!" Casimos grabbed Yang Le's right hand. "Don't you know? The Prime Minister is always protected by the most elite guards from Tesserland."

"Perhaps you are indeed very strong and can defeat Spassimerson by yourself with cold weapons, but the elite guards have the most advanced weapons in Taserlandon. If you have any ideas, you will be instantly riddled with holes by their laser guns."

“Hey Spike.” Michelangelo looked worried. “Although I don’t know what you’re talking about, I don’t think turning into a sieve is a good ending.”

"This is the best chance to end this cosmic war."

Yang Le simply shook his head at Michelangelo's advice and then reached for his belt.

"Moreover, I have the confidence to easily resolve all of this."

As he spoke, Yang Le pressed the Omnitrix button. After a burst of white light, he transformed from a Triceratops into a tall, thin humanoid creature—an evolved human.

“Spike is…Yang?” Michelangelo covered his head. “Wait a minute, guys, my brain is a little confused.”

"Is this some kind of cutting-edge technology?" Donatello's eyes gleamed with curiosity. "Is it optical camouflage, or..."

“A biomimetic technology,” Yang Le explained. “But that’s not the focus right now. There will be plenty of time to satisfy your curiosity after this is over.”

"Now let's continue with Casimos. I can help you take the position of Prime Minister Tesserlandon, on the condition that you guarantee you will never initiate another war."

“That’s why I’m locked up here,” Casimos said with a wry smile. “You seem to know me quite well, so you should know what my political stance has always been.”

"Ever since I entered officialdom, I have been trying to stop wars in my own way, but unfortunately I have almost never succeeded."

Mr. Casimos lowered his head and closed his eyes. When he raised his head again, only determination remained in his eyes.

"I am willing to do anything to stop this pointless war, even if it means bearing the stigma of a coup."

“If that happens, you’ll be left with a mess.” Yang Le shook his head. “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of everything for you.”

As soon as Yang Le finished speaking, there was a rustling sound at the door. Yang Le took the opportunity to transform back into Spike, and the next second the door to the lounge was pushed open.

"Spike, come with us."

The newcomers were a well-equipped Teserlandon squad. It was obvious to the naked eye that this squad was different from the regular Teserlandon soldiers. It seemed that this should be the elite squad that Casimos had mentioned.

After the elite squad entered, Casimos scanned the other prisoners in the room. Just as he had expected, none of them betrayed them or informed on him at this moment.

When he first arrived, Casimos, the only Tetherlandon prisoner gladiator, was not well-received. The reason is not hard to imagine: most of the prisoner gladiators here were captured by the Tetherlandons on the battlefield and then thrown here to be used as pawns for their entertainment.

Add to that the hateful Golo, who's in charge of this place. It's good enough if he doesn't bully Casimos, let alone expect the prisoners to give him a friendly look.

Even before Casimos entered the palace, he had already guessed that his days were not going to be easy. Fortunately, he had already climbed to a high position before entering the palace, and naturally had his own forces under his command.

After some maneuvering, Casimos not only replaced the weapons of all the prisoner gladiators, but also brought them medicine.

These two items are life-saving, and are of paramount importance to gladiators. Combined with Casimus's own methods and personal charisma, he subdued all the gladiators in just a few days.

Casimus's subjugation of everyone wasn't actually a prelude to a rebellion; he simply wanted to make his life a little easier. After all, how could a group of prisoners armed with melee weapons possibly defeat soldiers with laser guns?
Besides, should we call him honest and kind? If Yang Le hadn't brought up the option of a coup, he probably would never have thought of this method in his life, not even when he was at the height of his power.

"Give me some time," Yang Le said. "No matter who sent you, I know I don't have the right to refuse, but let me take care of some personal matters first."

The leading soldier did not refuse, but nodded and urged Yang Le to hurry up. Then he led his squad out of the room, leaving Yang Le with enough private space.

This respect confirmed Yang Le's suspicions. If this squad was only trying to force Yang Le to be executed, then there would be no need to waste so much time with him. Their attitude spoke volumes.

“Remember what I told you about Casimos.” Yang Le looked at the Triceratops. “You can start contacting your old subordinates now, so you won’t be caught unprepared when the time comes.”

"And you Leonardos too." Yang Le then looked at the four turtles. "You've probably guessed it, the reason I infiltrated here was to rescue the four of you. But right now there's a chance to stop a cosmic war, and I don't want to give it up."

"Although I do not approve of taking other people's lives, I have to admit that it is indeed the best solution at the moment."

Leonardo looked serious. Under Splinter's tutelage, even the most irritable Raphael among the four turtles would not easily take another's life.

However, this doesn't mean they are a bunch of saints. For example, Leonardo DiCaprio once personally chopped off Shredder's head. They just don't do that easily.

“Salam is a warmonger,” Casimos explained. “Ever since he became Prime Minister of Tesserland, Tesserland has frequently launched wars for his own personal gain.”

“I only found out about this later. I put all the evidence in the hands of my absolutely trustworthy subordinates. Believe me, even according to the laws of Tesserland, Salam deserves the death penalty.”

Yang Le knew that Casimos said these things because he didn't want Leonardo and the others to harbor resentment towards him because of this, but at this moment he had another thought than gratitude.

"Why didn't you bring these out sooner?"

“To avoid civil war,” Casimos said with a wry smile. “Salam is not actually popular. Once I present this evidence, he will definitely be impeached, and then Tesserlandon might split into several factions vying for the position of prime minister.”

"The external threats have not been resolved yet. If internal troubles arise at this time, and I really do that, then Tesserlandon is very likely to be destroyed."
