Chapter 5 Mission: 01-5 Choice
Nero still felt awkward changing clothes in front of other people, even though she was now a woman like Gloria.

Nero reached around the back of his neck and pushed out his cold long hair. He looked at Gloria and said, "...I'm done."

Gloria looked at Nero with a satisfied smile on her face: "Looks good, let me take a picture."

God knows where she got a camera from. Gloria held it in her hand, pointed the lens at Nero, and instructed her to stand near the entrance of the cave.

Moonlight shone into the cave through the waterfall. Nero leaned against the rock wall, his wet blond hair gleaming in the swaying light. He stood with his hands clasped in front of him and forced a smile.

The dress wasn't a perfect fit; it was a bit too long for Nero. On the other hand, although the dress itself was a loose fit, the deep neckline didn't quite support Nero.

From the collarbone down, a large expanse of demonic flesh was exposed. Perhaps Gloria had done it on purpose, but those golden, feather-like "eyelashes" seemed to match the dress perfectly. Nero wanted to hide it, but he was too embarrassed to ask for a change of clothes, so he had to make do.

The lights flickered, and Gloria threw the camera up, then disappeared when she caught it again. She reached down to her leg again, pulled out something, and threw it at Nero.

Nero hurriedly caught them, then took a closer look. They turned out to be a pair of jet-black pistols. "Luce & Ombra" was engraved in gold on the barrels, and the wooden buttstocks were decorated with a pair of relief carvings depicting the profile of a woman.

She looked up at Gloria: "This is..."

"I'll lend it to you. Remember to return it." Gloria waved her hand casually and tossed a few spare magazines. "Goodbye, little beauty."

Gloria activated the mechanism again, and the sluice gate fell, cutting off the waterfall. She stood on the ever-expanding skybridge and left without looking back.

"Thank you!" Nero thanked her slightly, turning towards her back. Then he lowered his voice again and said softly, "You're really helpful."

Considering what Nero was going to do next, it would be impossible to move forward without weapons.

She squatted down behind the newly descending waterfall, placing the two pistols and magazines she had received on the ground. After some thought, she decided to secure them to the leg ring on her right leg under her long skirt. Then, she broke off a sharp piece of iron from a nearby rusty railing and cut the long skirt open from the right side, manually creating a high slit to make it easier for her to access her weapons.

She considered whether it was wrong to casually destroy a gift from someone else, but ultimately, her sense of duty to save her family overwhelmed her guilt. She wondered if Gloria, or rather Tracy, who had offered to lend her the weapon, had sensed Nero's desire.

While Gloria's identity might have remained a mystery before she unleashed the twin pistols, afterward, the possibility was completely elusive. "Light and Shadow," the Italian-named twin pistols, once belonged to the magic swordsman Sparda. Aside from Nero's uncle Dante and a few of his "female friends," no one else could possibly possess such weapons.

Nero checked again, and after making sure everything was safe, he nodded and said, "Okay, let's go."

According to the records in Devil May Cry 4, after exiting this cave, there is a forest connected to the testing ground of the Demon Sword Cult, and Nero's sworn brother Credo should be in the cult headquarters hidden behind the forest.

"By the way, what can I do to change the ending... I need to think about this carefully."

Nero paused. She realized that if she wanted to change Credo's fate, she couldn't act rashly. A reckless confrontation would only lead the plot down the same path as before.

"So what we need to do now is to find the key point that led to Credo's death."

Gloria covered her lips and stared at the angry and panicked Agnes with a smile.

Then, the man's next words made her eyes widen.

"The Yama Blade is gone!" Agnas pointed into the distance and shouted loudly, "That little girl...she...she absorbed the Yama Blade!"

Gloria followed the direction of the finger, looked at the dense forest that Nero had stepped into, and curled the corners of her mouth.
