Chapter 23 Mission: 05-2 Savior

"Isn't this something we've discussed long ago?" the Pope asked. "For the ideal world to come, someone has to make sacrifices. Just like the knights of the Order, just like your parents..."

"You don't deserve to mention them."

Credo replied coldly, swinging a blade of light at the Pope from a distance, but the Pope dodged it by teleporting to the Savior's shoulder. Credo continued, "This was no accident, nor was it a noble act of devotion. All I see is shameful betrayal and exploitation!"

So the Pope had to shut up.

At the same time, Tracy took off her disguise and turned back into a beautiful woman with blonde hair and blue eyes, wearing a black leather jacket and leather pants.

She turned her hands, took out the double guns "Light and Shadow" that she had taken from the unconscious Nero, and aimed at the Pope.

"Gloria..." The Pope noticed her movements and said in a complicated tone.

"You don't look all that surprised," Tracy shrugged. Then she waved at Credo, who was staring at her face. "Handsome, now's not the time to get lost in the world."

Credo turned his head away in embarrassment: "Sorry, I'm being rude."

It suddenly occurred to him that Tracy's attire was rather indecent, and that staring at her like that was reflecting badly on his own reputation.

Fortunately, other people didn't pay much attention to him.

"For someone who possesses the Blade of Sparta, no amount of investigation is excessive." The Pope sighed, "But I still didn't expect this. When did you discover the existence of the Blood of Sparta?"

"Of course from the beginning."

"So you discussed this from the beginning."

Tracy's eyes swept over the two people beside her with a smile: "Yeah, so shouldn't you surrender?"

Nero was speechless. If Tracy had told her earlier that she had discussed this with Credo, she wouldn't have received such a beating in vain.

But after thinking about it carefully, Nero felt that they should have discussed it at least after Nero and Credo fought, and Tracy was probably bluffing the Pope.

"surrender?"

The Pope sneered and sank into the body of the Savior.

His voice came from inside the Savior, sounding as if it were passing through a speaker: "Shouldn't you be the ones to surrender?"

He turned around and questioned Tracy, "All you have left is Dante, and he's on the other side of the planet. Do you really think you can defeat the Savior with just a few people?"

Then came Agnes's voice, faintly heard from downstairs: "Your Majesty, the activation is complete—"

The next second, under the burning of a huge amount of magic power, the savior took the initiative.

It raised its hand and struck the soles of the three men's feet with a swift punch.

Nero, Credo, and Tracy retreated, the dust from the shattered floor obscuring their vision.

The Pope's voice came through the smoke: "Agnas, go open the door to the demon world."

"Eh?" A surprised voice came from below: "But Your Holiness..."

"I know, there's no need for the Yama Blade. Don't you have another method? By the way..."

"Okay, I understand."

The dust cleared. Credo looked at the savior before him and asked with cold hostility, "What are you going to do?"

"Didn't you hear me? Open the door to the demon world."

Tracy said, "But the seal of Sparta cannot be lifted. You don't have the Yama Blade."

"Impossible to remove? Haha..."

The Pope laughed sarcastically: “How pedantic.

"Let me tell you, first of all—"

The Pope launched a sneak attack without hesitation, and the savior's giant palm slashed diagonally on the platform in front of him.

Looking at the three people who were dodging in panic below, he slowly said the following words: "Why do you think we built a small demon world gate?"

"Isn't it a replacement for the real Demon Realm Gate?" Nero asked after landing. Credo shook his head. He didn't know what else it could do.

"How is that possible? The demons that can come out of that kind of door are too weak, and they are not strong enough to allow the Savior to pass through."

The Pope fired another laser from the gem, sweeping through the smoke and dust covering the entire floor. "Actually, their function is resonance."

"Resonance?" Tracy asked in confusion.

"A seal is just a lock after all. With a little effort, it can be pried open."

The Pope's attack completely destroyed the entire floor. The three people who fell from the sky to the lower floor could vaguely see Agnes running away.

"This is resonance. When three small demon gates are activated simultaneously at self-destructive power, the energy released is enough to break the seal!"

The savior raised his leg and stepped down.

"You're really crazy!"

Credo flew into the air, focused his lightsaber, and stabbed the Savior in the chest: "An uncontrolled Demon Gate will kill everyone in Fortuna!"

"Don't listen to him, Credo!" Nero called out, "One of the three doors is missing."

"That's not a problem. We created three doors just to increase the speed of the main gate opening. If we had the Yama Blade... we could instantly make the real gate break through its limits and operate."

The Savior raised his hand to block the gem on his chest, and the golden lightsaber collided with his jade-like fingers.

"I suggest you hand over Nero and the Yama Blade."

The Pope's tone was full of indifference to the lives of the townspeople: "Just watch, your decision will kill them."

What a shameless shift of responsibility. Nero gritted his teeth and said to the other two, "Credo, go stop Agnes, I'll hold off the Pope!"

She was ready to draw the Yama Blade.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" The Pope chuckled inside the Savior. "I'm worried they're no match for Agnus."

"Who are you looking down on?" Nero asked back.

She knew exactly how capable Agnes was.

"Did you underestimate it?"

The savior reached out his hand and swatted Credo away from the air like a fly. "Ah, so you didn't know? I asked Agnus to do two things."

The moment they heard this, Nero and Credo both had a bad feeling in their hearts.

Seeing their expressions, the Pope smiled again.

"Yes, I asked him to take someone with him before he goes."

It's Kylie.

Originally, Tracy had kept Kyrie away from the battlefield by pretending to team up with Agnus, which was also an important part of her cooperation with Credo.

But they were too late to hide Jillie.

"Sandox!!!" Credo shouted the Pope's real name angrily.

"How disrespectful." The Pope sighed, "You..."

"Teach, teach, teach, His Holiness the Pope!"

A series of hurried voices broke into the battlefield. Agnes, holding the unconscious Jillie, flew back with his wings flapping.

He shouted in panic, "There's only one door left to the demonic world!"

"What?!" The savior froze.

Tracy looked at the people in the field with different expressions, smiled and spread her hands.
