Chapter 374 Hyperspace Teleportation
Chapter 374 Hyperspace Teleportation
When time returns to the present, space and time freeze at this moment.
Ahriman raised his arms high, and the runic crystal at the top of his psionic scepter burst forth with a dazzling blue-white light, illuminating the entire cavern like a supernova explosion.
Silvery-white energy ripples spread out in a perfect sphere from him, and wherever they passed, the spatial structure groaned under the strain, as if an invisible layer of ice was freezing reality.
The ancient runes on the scepter lit up one by one, and the silver-gray power armor shimmered with a cold metallic luster in the surge of energy.
The crimson portals that were forming were like candles being extinguished by an invisible hand, emitting a mournful cry before suddenly going out.
Several vampires, who had just poked their heads out, let out a shrill howl. Their twisted faces were frozen between pain and rage, and they were abruptly cut off in the warp rift.
One of the arms was still in a grasping posture, but it was neatly severed at the boundary between reality and illusion, and an ominous purplish-black light flickered at the cut.
“The space is sealed.” Ahriman’s voice came through the psionic network, deep and authoritative.
With a slight twist of his wrist, Ahriman's psychic scepter traced a precise silver-blue trajectory.
Among the myriad possibilities of psychic foresight, he had already seen the vampire attacking from the left—when the claws were still an inch away from the cloak, he moved half a step to the side at just the right moment, the edge of the cloak just a hair's breadth away from the claw tip.
The scepter was thrust forward, and a thin, hair-like bolt of psionic lightning burst from its tip, leaving a smoky, bloody hole in the demon's brow with the precision of a surgical operation.
His ten fingers quickly formed hand seals, and seven possible attack routes unfolded in his mind like a holographic projection.
Choose the simplest third option: Interlock your right thumb and ring finger, and a psionic pulse will spread out in a fan shape.
While the three charging flesh-and-blood hounds were still in mid-air, their chaotic nodes were precisely hit, and blue flames erupted from their eye sockets, mouths, and nostrils, blooming into three enchanting fire lotuses in mid-air.
For Ahriman, this battle was like playing a game of regicide.
The attack trajectory of each demon was clearly visible in the psionic vision, like chess pieces moving on a chessboard.
While the Khorne Berserker's chain axe was still raised above his head, Ahriman's scepter had already struck the vulnerable spot on his elbow.
Psionic energy seeped in through the gaps in the armor, instantly carbonizing the entire arm and turning it into black powder that fell like sand through an hourglass.
In Ahriman's eyes, the entire battlefield transformed into a transparent holographic projection.
He stepped forward to the left, narrowly avoiding the three claw strikes that were about to come.
The scepter swept horizontally to the right, hitting a demon that it would move to, as if the demon had deliberately run into his attack.
When the twelve demons attacked simultaneously, his brain had already found the optimal solution—a spiral-shaped psionic shockwave that would pierce through all twelve demons at once.
As the last demon crashed to the ground, Ahriman gently flicked his cloak, and the charred remains of the demon fell in a flurry, spreading into ashes on the rune-covered ground.
Fuzzy Numbers
Chen Xi, the Supreme Wizard, hovered in mid-air, his entire body enveloped in a pale blue spiritual energy like a thin mist.
Within the crystal at the top of the staff, layers of runes gradually lit up, and with each layer that lit up, the surrounding air rippled.
“Phase calibration is nearing completion.” Chen Xi’s consciousness flowed between the two chess pieces.
The chess piece staff of the bottom nest is deeply embedded in the ground, its ancient inscriptions shimmering faintly; while the chess piece on the orc moon floats deep within the fortress, surrounded by a faint psionic barrier.
Both staffs simultaneously emitted a hazy blue light.
Light intertwines in the void, weaving a three-dimensional network that envelops the cave.
The magic circle was composed of countless tiny rotating runes, and Chen Xi could feel the invisible pressure exerted on the physical structure. "Node synchronization is good..." he murmured to himself.
The crystal at the tip of the staff trembled suddenly, emitting a piercing buzzing sound.
All the runes suspended in the air contracted rapidly as if drawn by a black hole, condensing into a dazzling point of light at the tip of the staff.
Although this point of light was only the size of a pinhead, it contained enough power to tear reality apart, and the surrounding air was distorted and deformed due to the energy overload.
Space began to distort and deform, and the outline of the rock wall swayed and blurred like a reflection in water.
The hard stone wall surface rippled with strange patterns, and those ancient lines flowed like liquid, as if the entire cave had turned into some kind of viscous fluid.
Even more bizarrely, on the Orcish war moon, light-years away, the same spatial distortion is occurring simultaneously.
At that moment, Muswag tore off his human disguise.
His skin peeled away like cracked pottery, revealing his true, dark red demonic form.
Twisted horns pierced the void, forming a bloody crown above the head; the rune-covered armor emitted a bloody light, each rune writhing as if alive.
Muswag's double-edged battle axe clashed violently with Zanazt's bone claws, unleashing blinding crimson sparks.
Two completely different chaotic energies clashed violently at the point of impact, creating visible energy ripples that spread outwards.
"Traitor!" Zanazt roared in a triple voice from his mangled body, his remaining right claw suddenly growing several inches longer, carrying a corrosive black mist as it aimed straight for Muswag's throat.
As if anticipating this, Muswag dodged to the side, the spiked armor on his left shoulder rising to slice a gash in his opponent's arm.
"You still haven't learned your lesson." He sneered, and suddenly a pair of barbed membrane wings unfolded from his back, flapping violently and stirring up a bloody storm.
The confrontation between the two demon princes created an energy storm on the battlefield.
Rocks, corpses, and even broken weapons were swept into the air, spinning wildly in the crimson whirlwind.
A mutant corpse that had been swept up suddenly exploded, its flesh and blood reforming in the energy field, transforming into dozens of blood bats that swarmed towards Muswag.
Zanazt seized the opportunity, and his mutilated left half suddenly spewed out a thick black mist, from which countless tiny bone spurs emerged.
"I'm tired of your tricks!" Muswag crossed his two axes, and the runes on the axe blades suddenly lit up. A blood-red light slashed out in a fan shape, scattering the black mist and bone spikes together.
Muswag's battle axe slashed down like a storm, forcing Zanazt to parry each blow with all his might.
Several more smoke-filled wounds appeared on the already mangled body of the demon prince. He roared angrily, his three eyes burning with savage flames.
Although he had noticed the unusual fluctuations in the surrounding space, he had no time to pay attention to anything else under Muswag's fierce offensive.
"Now!" Chen Xi's thoughts exploded like thunder in the psionic network.
In an instant, the teleportation array was activated.
The entire cave's spatial structure collapsed instantly, like fragile glass; the rock walls twisted and flowed like melting wax figures; and the runes on the stone walls disintegrated into particles of light one after another.
The ground kept shifting between reality and illusion, one second as hard as refined gold, the next as soft as quicksand. Several cultists who didn't have time to react sank in and let out shrill screams.
