Chapter 373 Chen Xi's Plan

Chapter 373 Chen Xi's Plan

Rewind a little earlier, when Ahriman was at the edge of the cave, intently preparing his dimensional annihilation spell.

In his apartment in the real world, Twilight logged out of the 40k world and informed him of what had happened in the hive capital of the sector capital.

"Damn it, I knew something bad would happen today," he muttered under his breath as he hurried toward the study.

On the desk, an exquisite Supreme Wizard chess piece was emitting a faint blue light.

Chen Xi had indeed anticipated that a major operation would take place today.

Therefore, he deliberately avoided projecting his consciousness into the 40k world throughout the day, in order to be able to respond to emergencies in a timely manner.

Now, this decision has proven to be wise.

Chen Xi instantly established a psionic link with the battlefield using the Ahriman chess pieces that had been deployed in the military crate.

Through the wizard's eyes, he clearly saw the horrific scene inside the bottom cavern: Zanazt's twisted demonic body was completing its final transformation, the corpses of the battle nuns lay scattered in pools of blood, and the few remaining nuns were still putting up a stubborn resistance.

Ahriman's Dimensional Annihilation spell has reached a critical moment, but more time is needed to complete the final rune construction.

“The situation is worse than I thought…” Chen Xi frowned and quickly put the Supreme Wizard chess piece, which was shining with a dark blue light, into the war box.

The chess piece landed precisely on the rock next to Aliman, but Chen Xi did not intervene immediately.

He cautiously maintained the posture of an observer, gathering more battlefield intelligence through the chess pieces.

Only after fully grasping the situation did Chen Xi's consciousness officially project into the 40k world.

He controlled the Supreme Wizard's chess piece, transmitting instructions to Ahriman through covert psionic fluctuations.

A hint of surprise flashed in the red wizard's eyes, but he quickly understood and deliberately adjusted the spell's trajectory at the last moment of casting.

The dimensional rift that was originally enough to completely annihilate Zanazt shifted slightly, only swallowing half of the demon prince's body.

"Twilight, listen up." Chen Xi contacted Twilight, who was fighting on the nest, via psionic communication: "I need you and MaiMai to immediately gather all available forces. When you see the blue beacon, don't hesitate, charge straight in."

His voice was calm and firm, as if he had foreseen everything.

After explaining the plan, Chen Xi focused all his attention on the Supreme Wizard chess piece.

When the time was right, he and Ahriman simultaneously raised their staffs, and the two beams of psionic energy converged in the air, forming a dazzling teleportation beacon.

The blue and white light illuminated the entire cave, opening a passage to the bottom battlefield for the reinforcements led by Twilight and MaiMai.

They brought not only another Judge Craig and reinforcements, but also someone that Chen Xi had anticipated, but that no one else had.

Another demon prince, Muswag.

Just as Chen Xi had foreseen through the prophecy, the Demon Prince Muswag's entire obsession was focused on destroying Zanazt. This fallen being, cursed by Khorne, constantly yearned to reclaim his fragmented power and return to the Blood God's demonic realm.

When he sensed that his nemesis was preparing to reincarnate, he began to secretly weave his own web of conspiracy.

Initially, Muswag set his sights on the courtroom.

He cleverly used psychic whispers to implant suggestions in the dreams of Inquisitor Craig and his mentor. Those so-called "brilliant ideas" about "sealing the demon prince after he completes his reincarnation" actually originated from the demon prince's secret guidance.

Tragically, however, the Blood God's curse bound him like shackles—any act of directly killing mortals would lead to his failure, preventing him from returning to the Demon Realm of Khorne.

Coupled with his innate contempt for humanity, Muswag has always refused to cooperate openly, instead treating these self-proclaimed intelligent judges as pathetic pawns to be manipulated.

But when Zanazt actually completed his reincarnation ceremony today, the situation took a sharp turn for the worse.

Muswag realized that the judges he had fooled were no longer enough to turn the tide of the war.

Left with no other choice, the arrogant demon prince finally decided to intervene personally.

Amidst the smoke and fire of Shangchao, his gaze locked onto MaiMai and Twilight's group, who were clearing out the Invisible Brotherhood—these warriors, tempered by blood and fire, became his only and final choice.

"Mortals..." Muswag's voice, like the scraping of a rusty blade, suddenly echoed in Twilight's mind: "I can grant you the power and victory you crave." The demon prince's figure appeared and disappeared among the burning ruins, transforming into a mysterious figure clad in black robes: "Ally with me, and you will gain the glory of slaying demons, and I... only want Zanazt's head."

Having already received instructions from Chen Xi, Twilight responded to Muswag, agreeing to cooperate with him and telling him that he needed to contact Chen Xi.

So when the others teleported from Upper Nest to the battlefield, Muswag also approached the Supreme Wizard controlled by Chen Xi, expressing his intentions and proposing cooperation.

Having already known about this, Chen Xi immediately agreed to cooperate, and everything was proceeding according to the prophecy and his plan.

However, he did not intend to help Muswag so easily. During the negotiations, Chen Xi requested that Muswag and Zanazt be teleported to other planets together.

His chosen target was the planet Kherson III, which had already collided with Kiev, the planet of the Necromancer's Throne in space, and the frozen Orc war moon.

When Chen Xi hurled this planet into the Necromancer's Throne world, he considered that the planet and Kiev might need to be destroyed later, so he buried a chess piece on the planet that could serve as a coordinate—a chess piece made of a servo skull.

It was frozen directly in the ice, and all its functions were even turned off, serving only as a teleportation coordinate so that it would not be discovered by the orcs.

Originally, Chen Xi planned to use these coordinates as coordinates for deploying decapitation strike teams when attacking the two planets that collided in the future, but now, they have obviously come in for a more important purpose.

“Listen, Muswag, let’s make a deal. I’ll help you kill your nemesis, but I don’t want you and him to fight on this planet, because the winner will inevitably become our enemy.” Chen Xi directly called out Muswag’s name. Although it wasn’t his real name, it still had a deterrent effect on Muswag. “So I have to teleport you and Zanazt to another planet to ensure that you don’t turn against us immediately after killing Zanazt.”

Don't try to bargain with me. I know you can't kill any mortal, directly or indirectly. If you try to bargain with me, I'll just kill someone and make you fail completely.

Despite being unhappy about being threatened, Muswag chose to compromise and agree to Chen Xi's demands.
