Chapter 194 Take the initiative
“We can’t stay in this passive position forever.” Klein disliked the current passive situation very much.

In business, if you are in a passive position, your opponents will seize the opportunity to exploit your weaknesses, resulting in losses.

Zeref tapped his fingers on the table with a cold sound. "Since he wants a traveling doctor, then give him a traveling doctor."

"You mean having someone impersonate a traveling doctor?" Taylor's eyes lit up.

"Ah."

Ophelia frowned. "Then who should impersonate this quack doctor?"

Zeref's gaze swept over Taylor and Klein.

“You are no good. Brada has seen you before and is familiar with your aura.”

“Then let’s find a stranger,” Ophelia suggested.

"A stranger?" None of the three males knew who Ophelia was referring to.

Early the next morning, Ophelia and Tyler Klein headed to the Bear Tribe.

Ophelia had previously helped Brown, the young chieftain of the Bear Clan, so they received a warm welcome upon their arrival.

Brown was delighted to see Ophelia. "Ophelia, what brings you here?"

Ophelia looked around at the people, and Brown understood what she meant, so he led the three of them to his stone house.

"You can speak now. I've already instructed them to keep watch nearby, and no one will come near here."

Ophelia nodded. "Brown, we've come here to ask you for a favor."

“Okay, I promise you.” Brown’s quick agreement surprised Ophelia.

"Aren't you going to ask what it is?" Klein's gaze turned hostile as he looked at Brown, who had agreed so readily.

Brown scratched his head and smiled sheepishly. "Ophelia, you saved my family's lives. I'll do anything you ask of me."

Ophelia came because she had helped Brown before and wanted to repay the favor.

But he really didn't expect Brown to agree so easily.

"What I'm asking you to do is dangerous; you can refuse."

Brown wasn't actually the first choice, but he was the strongest male among all the candidates.

Brown was silent for a long time before speaking, "What were your chances of succeeding without me?"

Ophelia's value is beyond estimation.

In the end, it's unclear what they discussed, but all we can see is Ophelia, Taylor, and the other two leaving the Bear Clan tribe with cold expressions.

News of Ophelia's departure from the Bear Clan tribe quickly reached Brada's ears.

"They went to the Bear Tribe? Could itinerant doctor be connected to the Bear Tribe?"

Beast Servant Kaka shook his head. "According to the investigation, the divine medicine first appeared in the Fu tribe, and many people from the Xiong tribe also came to the Fu tribe to buy the medicine."

"Therefore, the itinerant doctor should not be a member of the Bear Clan tribe."

"Then why did they go to the Bear Tribe?" Brada was a little confused.

He irritably flicked his bangs. "Alright, go deliver the message. Tell Ophelia that if they want the little female back, they'll exchange her for the traveling doctor."

The game of catching mice can end now.

"Yes, Master."

Early that morning, a male covered in wounds was found lying at the entrance of the Fu tribe. The male guarding the gate went to check on him and discovered that it was actually Sair.

They quickly carried the person to the treatment room and relayed the message to Ophelia.

"Who hurt Sel?"

Ram shook his head. "I don't know."

"His body was covered in abrasions and claw marks from wild animals."

"Let's go take a look first." Taylor draped a coat over Ophelia and led her toward the Fu tribe's treatment room.

In the treatment room, Ophelia looked at the still unconscious Ser with a grim expression.

"what is that?"

Ram's sharp eyes spotted a fiery red feather mixed in with the animal skin at Sel's waist.

Klein stepped forward, picked up the feather, and carefully examined its scent. "It's a feather from a male Fire Phoenix."

"It really was them." Taylor clenched his fists tightly.

"Don't worry, Chieftain, Sel is not in mortal danger; it's just some superficial wounds," the chief physician reported to Ophelia after bandaging Sel's wounds. Hearing that he was out of danger, Ophelia instantly breathed a sigh of relief.

When will he wake up?

The tribal doctor estimated that "she should wake up around noon."

Out of concern for Sel, Ophelia stayed outside the treatment room.

Around noon, Sel slowly woke up.

"Oh, Ophelia."

The first thing Sel did upon waking up was to look for Ophelia.

Ignoring his injuries, he tried to sit up in bed, but Ram quickly helped him up.

"Don't worry, Ophelia is outside. I'll call her in."

"it is good."

Upon hearing that Sel had woken up, Ophelia quickly put down the stone bowl she was holding and went into the treatment room.

“Ophelia, I encountered the males who kidnapped the little female. They told me to tell you that if you want the little female to return safely, you have to hand over the itinerant doctor.”

"okay, I get it."

Ophelia nodded to comfort Sel and told him to take good care of himself.

Three days later, Ophelia and a mysterious person wearing an animal skin cloak stealthily emerged from the Fu tribe.

The two walked while looking back, as if they were looking at something.

The male Fire Phoenix, who was guarding outside the Fu tribe, sent a signal the moment the two appeared.

Once they stepped outside the gates of the Fu tribe's territory, Bulada and several males surrounded the mysterious cloaked man.

“Itinerant doctor, we’ve finally met.” Brada’s lips curled into a bright smile.

"Brada, now that you've seen him, can you release the little female from our tribe?"

"When did I promise you I'd let them go?" Brada grinned smugly.

"Brada, you."

"You can leave now." Brada waved his hand impatiently at Ophelia.

A cold glint flashed in Ophelia's eyes. Taking advantage of the moment when no one around her was paying attention, she quietly approached the mysterious cloaked figure.

A sharpened bone knife was pressed against the mysterious man's neck.

“Brada, if you don’t release the little female from our tribe, you won’t be able to take the traveling doctor away.”

“Interesting, interesting, really interesting.” Brada clapped his hands, his eyes full of mockery as he looked at Ophelia.

It's like watching a dying kitten struggling.

“Kaka.” Brada had barely finished speaking when…

A fiery red feather flew straight at Ophelia's face, and Ophelia quickly dodged.

Kaka then pulled the mysterious man behind him.

Ophelia fell to the ground as she tried to escape, her eyes blazing with anger.

"Brada, you're despicable."

Brada walked over to Ophelia, squatted down, and pinched Ophelia's chin.

“I was going to spare your life for Klein’s sake.”

"But it seems you like to court death."

"Is that so?" Ophelia smiled strangely.

She gently raised her arm, which was hidden under her wide sleeves, and her slender fingers pulled the trigger.

Three crossbow bolts with sharp arrowheads shot towards Brada's chest.

"what."

"Master."

Three crossbow bolts pierced Brada's chest, instantly staining his linen clothes with blood.

Seeing this, Kaka disregarded the itinerant doctor and walked towards Brada.

As he walked, he gave the order: "Kill her."
