Chapter 411 Old A Takes the Stage
On the plane, the members of Team A sat up straight.

This was their first overseas combat mission, and they were directly attacking pirates.

Only Feng Yuxiu's eyes were filled with a thirst for blood. Scorpion... such a large-scale march, if you run away this time, I will commit suicide on the spot.

He wanted to teach Scorpion a lesson about what a truly gruesome death by a thousand cuts was, and what despair meant.

That provocation with that shot back then would have made Scorpion beg, cry, and wail to let him kill him.

Death would be the happiest thing for him.

Yuan Lang didn't say anything to Feng Yuxiu. The Old A Brigade was a special forces brigade that had experienced several real battles.

The group of people sitting on the plane each had an average of more than five lives on their hands, so this mission didn't put much psychological pressure on any of them.

The people on Crescent Island, though called pirates, were nothing more than ordinary people who were reckless and had abandoned normal laws and social morality.

If Crescent Island weren't surrounded by the sea and had heavy weapons and hostages on it, how could such a large-scale conflict have occurred?

A dozen hours later, darkness enveloped the ocean.

The plane hovered ten meters above the ocean.

Yuan Lang stood up, put on his equipment, and realized that the safest distance was five kilometers from Crescent Island.

"Now, everyone swim ashore! Remember, the Wolf Fang Special Forces from the Eastern Theater Command have already landed, so our current numbers are 46 to 580 pirates! The sole objective for both sides is to rescue the hostages. Do you all understand?"

"Once the hostages are evacuated, we must leave Crescent Island immediately! The rest is not our concern."

"Yes!" Everyone stood up, opened the cabin door, and jumped out of the plane into the darkness of the sea breeze.

A camouflage pattern quietly emerges from the crevices of the coastal cliffs.

Wearing diving goggles and with an oxygen tube between his teeth, Song Kaifei's gaze swept across the entire cliff face as he rapidly moved the muzzle of his automatic rifle.

He whispered into the throat-vibration microphone: "Area security."

With a soft splash, He Chenguang, Wang Yanbing, and Li Erniu's camouflage faces emerged from the water one after another.

A moment later, more camouflaged figures emerged from the blue water and moved toward the cliff.

The team members silently unfolded their climbing tools, the metal parts clanging together with barely audible soft sounds.

Chen Shanming exchanged glances with Gong Jian and Duan Shiliang.

"Go!" As soon as Fan Tianlei gave the order, Song Kaifei raised his rope gun.

"call out--"

The steel claw pierced through the air, dragging a slender yet resilient nylon rope across the cliff top, and "clicked" into a crevice in the rock.

He yanked the rope to make sure it was secure, then slung the rifle behind his back, fastened the D-ring to the rope, and began to climb upwards by alternating the force of his hands.

The team members below the cliff, with only their heads and gun barrels visible, formed a silent defensive line.

Fan Tianlei stared at the vanguard soldiers who had taken the lead in climbing, his face as solemn as iron.

Chen Shanming lowered his voice: "If there were heavy weapons deployed in this position, we would all be dead here. What is Scorpion doing, leaving us with such a huge vulnerability?"

"So the most dangerous moment is right now." Gong Jian tightened the quick-draw holster at his waist.

“We have no choice but to force our way in.” Duan Shiliang’s fingers unconsciously rubbed the worn areas on his tactical gloves.

Fan Tianlei gazed at the sea and said, "It seems luck is on our side."

In the dense forest on the side of the cliff, Chachai's sniper scope was locked on Song Kaifei.

He said urgently into his headset, "Scorpion, I see them! If I fire from this position, all twenty-odd men down here will be wiped out!"

"Don't fire, let them come up." Scorpion's voice came through the headset. "Let them come up. Their target isn't us. We absolutely cannot block their way to find people. Avoid them, avoid them like a mouse."

"Received." Chatchai gritted his teeth, locked the safety, and quickly disappeared into the deeper bushes.

Three climbing ropes were lowered one after another, and the team members split into three groups to climb upwards.

On the earthen-yellow cliff face, they looked like a group of camouflage ants, struggling to move in the vertical space.

He Chenguang and Wang Yanbing brought up the rear, keeping their guns at a constant guard angle.

Only when the last team member stepped onto the cliff top did Fan Tianlei's tense shoulders relax slightly.

He waved his hand, and the guards immediately deployed into tactical formation to cover the main force as they infiltrated the jungle.

Deep in the dense forest, Scorpion growled into the walkie-talkie: "Avoid them. There can be no contact. We can only hide."

"Received! Over!" Chatchai's response was accompanied by the sound of branches rubbing together.

The special operations team was stealthily advancing through the forest when Song Kaifei, acting as the scout, suddenly raised his hand to signal them to stop.

Gong Jian crouched down and stepped forward: "What's wrong?" "Footprints." Song Kaifei pointed to the muddy ground among the fallen leaves, where a military boot print was clearly visible, the soil around the edges still glistening with moisture.

Chen Shanming crouched down to inspect: "We just passed through here. Everyone, prepare for battle!"

The team members instantly dispersed and took cover. He Chenguang's sniper rifle was already propped up on a dead tree branch, and the crosshairs in the scope slowly moved.

"Why is it so quiet here?" Xu Tianlong leaned against the tree trunk, his heart pounding in his ears.

"Shut your crow's mouth!" Song Kaifei spat. "Do you only feel at ease when you see the enemy?"

“This doesn’t seem like Scorpion’s style.” Fan Tianlei frowned. “He’s a master of traps. This is a necessary route, and there isn’t a single landmine here.”

"There was no firepower at that location when we landed," Duan Shiliang added.

"What on earth is he doing?" Chen Shanming's knuckles turned white from clenching his fists.

“There’s only one person with these footprints, I’ll go find him!” Li Erniu was about to get up when Fan Tianlei pressed him down: “No need, it seems Scorpion has already found us.”

"Then why don't you shoot at us?" Wang Yanbing wondered.

"Perhaps it's ahead?" He Chenguang's gaze fell on the outline of the valley deep in the dense forest.

“That valley is a natural ambush site,” Gong Jian said, taking out a map to compare.

"Switch to route number two," Fan Tianlei decided immediately. "The rear guards become the vanguard, watch the flanks!"

"Understood!" He Chenguang and Wang Yanbing quickly seized the high ground to cover the main force's turn.

As the two men took turns providing cover during their retreat, their gun barrels were always pointed in the direction where a potential threat might arise.

In the bushes, Chachai's sniper scope firmly locked onto He Chenguang's back.

He took a deep breath, his Adam's apple bobbing, and murmured silently, "He Chenguang."

In the swamp, the mud was up to their knees, and the team members trudged forward, their camouflage pants covered in black mud.

He Chenguang frowned and thought, "Something's not right. It seems like the scorpion is deliberately avoiding us."

"Hiding from us?" Wang Yanbing pushed aside the branches obscuring his face. "Is he crazy?"

“We’re walking here openly and honestly. This island is only so big; there’s no way he didn’t notice us.” He Chenguang’s boots sank into the mud. “He’s deliberately avoiding our gaze.”

"What's the point?" Wang Yanbing asked, puzzled. "Are you just going to watch us get attacked by pirates?"

"I don't know." He Chenguang shook his head. "Let's go, catch up with the group."

On a distant hilltop, Scorpion slammed his binoculars down: "You bastard, Chachai, why the hell did you expose your footprints? Now they've completely deviated from the fastest route, which has extended the time we were supposed to spend on the island."

"I'm sorry, I had no choice. They got close to me, and I had to take cover immediately," Chatchai said, his voice filled with frustration.

The scorpion's chest heaved violently. "Now wait! Over!"

"Understood, sorry Scorpion. Over." Chatchai's voice was as low as a mosquito's hum.

The scorpion watched the group struggling through the swamp with great anxiety, its knuckles turning white from the strain.

On the muddy ground of the pirate camp, Wang Yadong awoke from his coma, his bare upper body covered with bruises.

He sat up abruptly—Zhang Lina and Cuifen were gone! The excruciating pain was instantly overwhelmed by panic. He grabbed the submachine gun beside him and staggered out of the wooden house.

The pirates gambling outside glanced at him, and one of them whistled and teased, "Got beaten up again?"

“Keep playing cards!” Another person slammed the cards onto the wooden table.

Wang Yadong ignored the warnings and ran up the mountain like a wounded wild beast.

Beside the mountain path, a pirate was urinating with his back to him when a dark figure suddenly pounced on him and pinned him to the ground.

Wang Yadong pressed his dagger against the man's throat, his eyes flashing with ferocity: "Where did Tiger Shark go?"

"Are you crazy? You're attacking us?" The pirate was so scared he wet himself.

Wang Yadong plunged the dagger into the other man's hand that was bracing him on the ground, while simultaneously covering his mouth.

The piercing sob was muffled in his throat. "Speak! Where is the tiger shark? Or I'll slit your throat."

The pirate convulsed in pain, nodding frantically.

Wang Yadong loosened his fingers a little.

"Luohan Cave... He went towards the Luohan Cave on the cliff..."

The moment the blade was pulled out, blood gushed out.

Wang Yadong withdrew his dagger and plunged it into the other man's heart without hesitation. He then got up, grabbed his gun, and ran wildly toward Luohan Cave, leaving a trail of bloody footprints behind him.

At the same time that the Wolf Fang Special Operations Brigade landed, five kilometers away, Feng Yuxiu's Old A Brigade began a silent swim across the sea.
