Chapter 4

I stopped 50 meters from the mission location, carefully observing the surrounding situation so I could be prepared for any critical moments. I glanced at the minimap and saw five red dots approaching me. I took a deep breath, picked up three pieces of rubble, climbed up the tree behind me, and then decided whether to attack these monsters.

I'd barely climbed the tree when the red dot approached. I held my breath! Looking down, I soon spotted four green figures. As luck would have it, they were the goblins I'd been assigned! Five goblins were standing beneath my tree, seemingly waiting for something! I hesitated, unsure whether to descend and finish them off. But then I considered what if that creature could detect me, and these five goblins were added to the mix. Wouldn't that leave me vulnerable from both sides? I absolutely couldn't do something so disastrous. Right away, I did it!
I gently drew the sword from my waist with my left hand, holding it in my backhand. Then, I hurled a stone I'd picked up from the ground in their direction! The stone arced and landed on the ground with a thud. The five goblins' attention was instantly drawn there! Seeing the moment was right, I leaped down and, just as I was about to make contact with one of them, quickly grabbed its shoulder with my right hand and pierced its throat with the Flying Frost in my left hand. After quickly dispatching one foe, I advanced instead, charging towards the goblin to my right! Switching my sword to my right hand, the moment contact was made, life and death were decided. A single sweep and downward slash sealed the deal! At this point, the suddenness of my attack had vanished! With only three enemies left, I sheathed my sword. Thinking of a move I wanted to try, I held my breath, focused, and slightly closed my eyes. I channeled the power I'd just sensed into my legs and arms!
The goblins saw my eyes slightly closed, thinking I'd given up. Without a second thought, they all rushed at me, weapons in hand! Just as those rusty weapons were about to make contact, I suddenly opened my eyes. I vanished from my spot and reappeared behind them in an instant. "Moonlight Shadow Wheel," I whispered the name of the move. Looking back, the three goblins had been torn into pieces. It was a bit unbearable to look at.

I had just finished combat when I suddenly gasped. It turns out that unleashing skills requires stamina! But how could a single skill drain so much of my stamina? Curious, I checked the map, made sure there were no dangers, and asked the system, "Why is my stamina so low after just one skill? I'm already gasping for breath! What's going on?"

"That's right. Wouldn't the person you invented get tired after slashing and moving at such a high speed? It's obvious that there is a physical limit! And you're lucky you didn't get into this state during the battle this time! Otherwise, you should be able to guess what the result would be! Anyway, the 5 Goblin quest is over! The quest rewards are being distributed: 10 bottles of instant physical recovery potion, and a permanent increase of 5 to the maximum physical strength. One more thing, I forgot to tell you that it takes 1 second for physical strength to fully recover, you can just calculate the time yourself! That's all I have to say, all the quests are completed, goodbye!"

When I read the mission reward, I instantly felt a significant sense of relief. Then, for a moment, I pondered: I need to calculate this one-second difference! Otherwise, I'll never know how I'll die! But that "Moonlight Shadow Wheel" is incredibly energy-consuming. It absolutely shouldn't be used unless it's crucial, at least not now. Otherwise, no one can withstand it completely draining all their energy.

"Ouch..." A roar interrupted my train of thought. I looked at the map and saw a red dot rapidly approaching me. I knew I couldn't hide. I immediately drew my Flying Frost and prepared to fight. As the trees continued to fall, I suddenly felt an urge to fight. My blood boiling, I shouted to the woods in front of me, "Come on! Monster, I'll send you to hell in a moment!" With that, a nearly two-meter-tall white figure emerged from the woods in front of me! This strange creature's skin wasn't green like the goblins, but white. Its eyes were red instead of yellow. Besides these two characteristics, it also had a sturdy physique! In his hand was a two-meter-long axe. I tightened my knife, ready for battle! Unexpectedly, the monster smiled contemptuously at me when it saw me! I narrowed my eyes slightly, revealing the same smile! I was obviously stunned when I saw it! Without a word, it rushed towards me, raising its axe to strike. Seeing the situation was bad and unable to take it head-on, I quickly leaped to the side. Then, it raised its leg and kicked me, leaving no room for avoidance. I shielded my hands in front of my head and leaned back to minimize the damage. After taking the kick, my hands were shaking. Despite doing my best to minimize the damage, they still shook. If I had taken it head-on, I would have been dead. I didn't dare to be careless. I quickly retreated. When facing an enemy so much larger than myself, I had to restrict its movements. Suddenly, a plan came to mind: severing the tendons in its arms and legs was the best strategy.

"Hey, big guy, didn't you have lunch? You're so weak that you can't even kick people. Try harder!" I mocked it, trying to provoke its anger.
As soon as the glissando ended, I felt a strong wind coming from in front of me. I smiled slightly and took advantage of the momentum to squat down to avoid the horizontal chop. I rolled forward to its body and instantly slashed its left leg twice. The monster quickly retreated in pain! Seeing this, I quickly lowered my body center of gravity and concentrated my strength on my legs. With a kick of the ground, I rushed out like a bullet from a chamber. Seeing me rushing straight towards it, the monster showed a cruel smile and swung an axe at me diagonally. Seeing that there was no way out, I turned in the air and landed on the ground to avoid the attack! At this time, we had already exchanged several rounds. I knew that if I continued to fight like this, I would definitely fall before it! After thinking about it, I sheathed my sword. I tried a quick attack, scabbarding my left hand with my thumb and thrusting the blade forward, quickly vanishing from the scene. Unexpectedly, the monster was quick to react, seemingly catching sight of me in an instant. By then, I was already in front of the monster, unsheathing my sword and striking a shadow cross, leaving a deep wound on its chest. I hadn't expected it to block my second blow; what a shame. Without giving it much thought, I launched a series of quick attacks, almost miraculously, yet surprisingly, I didn't inflict much damage. I was starting to tire, and just as I was about to withdraw, the monster retreated before me. I was slightly surprised, thinking, "This monster has a lot of combat experience! It must have seen countless life-and-death battles!" I knew this battle was over, time to put an end to it. I pulled a potion of stamina from my backpack and drank it all in one gulp! I also pulled out a bottle of healing potion and drank it all in one gulp! As the potions finished, the world before me slowly returned from its blood-red color to normal! I took a deep breath and closed my eyes slightly. After using "Moonlight Shadow Wheel," I didn't feel as weak as I did the first time. I just gasped for breath. I looked back and saw that the monster's legs and one arm had been completely severed, and it fell to the ground, wailing uncontrollably.
"You have too much blood debt! It's time to leave!" I said indifferently.
The monster was wailing and crying! I saw it, but I felt no sympathy for it! If I were the one who fell, I think he would have crushed my head and eaten me without hesitation.

I slowly walked towards the monster and chopped off its head with one stroke!
