Chapter 510 I'm really dizzy, Holy Spirit Servant
Roland took the glass of water and drank it down in one gulp, after which his expression became somewhat strange.
"Why does this water smell like alcohol? Did you go out to find more alcohol when you were drunk? Did you accidentally give me the wrong glass?"
Olivia said, somewhat speechless, "How could that be? I just poured warm water; look, it's still steaming."
Roland frowned and handed the cup to Olivia, saying, "Something's not right. Try it if you don't believe me."
Olivia took the glass and drank the rest of the 'water'. She said calmly, "It's water, but this glass just had wine in it, so it smells a bit like wine. Let me get you another glass."
With that, Olivia went over to the table.
Suddenly, pieces of clothing were thrown from the bed behind her onto the chair next to her.
"Stop messing around, just go to sleep."
Olivia turned around in astonishment and found that Roland had stripped down to only his bathrobe and was lying on the bed.
'This guy was definitely past his prime; one glass of wine and he collapsed.'
Seeing Roland fall asleep immediately, Olivia felt a slight surge of joy and began rummaging through the clothes Roland had left on the chair. However, she couldn't find the book.
'Damn it, I'm so dizzy! The book's still on the bed!'
Olivia hurriedly looked at the bed and tried her best to use her divine sense to locate the book.
She was feeling groggy, and everything was blurry in her vision. She even perceived that the bed was covered with books. This made her rub her forehead, her face pale.
'Damn it. The lower my willpower, the stronger the intoxication from the gods. I'm not much better off than that guy; I've already started hallucinating. I can't overuse my mental power anymore, or I'll start losing my memory again.'
This afternoon, Olivia discovered that she had lost her memory. This matter bothered her greatly.
After sitting in the chair for a while, Olivia went to the bedside and reached into Roland's blankets.
She searched for a long time but couldn't find the book.
'Where did he go? He was moving around on the bed just now, did he knock the book onto the floor?'
Olivia crouched down and looked around, discovering that the space under the bed was solid, with no gaps.
There was nothing around the bed.
Puzzled, Olivia glanced at the empty space between Roland and Helena, suspecting the book was there. So she simply lifted her robe, got onto the bed, and began groping around.
She searched for a long time but couldn't find it. Instead, she was so exhausted that she broke out in a cold sweat.
The buzzing noise returned to her ears, and Olivia felt her vision blur and her head spin.
After sitting on the bed for a while to recover, Olivia thought to herself, 'This won't do. I can't even tell which way is which now. If I keep searching, I might unknowingly fall asleep. I need to finish this quickly.'
Olivia planned to get the troublesome Roland and Helena off the bed and then give the sheets a good shake.
She nudged Helena first, and found that the girl was fast asleep and not moving at all, so she became bolder and decided to carry Helena off the bed.
Before taking action, she habitually glanced back at Roland, only to find that Roland was staring at her with his eyes open!
Olivia was so startled she almost jumped up.
In a moment of desperation, Olivia had a sudden inspiration. She continued to hold Helena and moved her a little further inside.
“It’s too crowded,” Olivia said to Roland as she adjusted the pillows.
Roland hummed in response for a long time, seemingly not fully conscious.
Just as Olivia had guessed, Roland couldn't possibly be completely sober. Although his eyes were open, he seemed to still be intoxicated, his consciousness somewhat blurred.
This greatly relieved Olivia.
But Roland's next move made Olivia's heart leap into her throat—Roland grunted a few times, then started scrambling to get up, seemingly to do something.
Roland got up quickly, but his body was swaying unsteadily; he was clearly very drunk. He almost fell off the bed and stepped on Joan.
Olivia quickly grabbed Roland and pressed him onto the bed.
"Don't move. Are you thirsty? Let me get you some water," Olivia asked.
Roland mumbled incoherently, "The doors aren't closed."
The door was closed, and it was closed when Olivia sneaked over—Roland probably closed it himself while he was drunk and had a blackout.
But Roland said the door wasn't closed.
Olivia knew immediately that the man was extremely drunk. She had seen many drunk people, and often when people were so drunk that they blacked out, they would talk nonsense and do incoherent things.
Olivia knew that in just a little while, the guy would fall into a deep sleep. So, suppressing her disgust, she hugged Roland and pretended to pat his back to coax him.
"Turn it off, go to sleep, go to sleep."
"Joan, why don't you take off your clothes to sleep?" Roland mumbled sleepily.
Olivia ignored him and continued patting Roland's back. Just as she expected, Roland shifted a few times and then stopped moving.
Olivia vaguely sensed that something was wrong. She groggily reached for her thigh, and after a few touches, she discovered a large hand.
It seems that while Roland was fidgeting, he was 'unconsciously' still thinking about how Joan hadn't taken off her clothes to sleep. So he lifted Olivia's robe from underneath.
Olivia was completely drunk at the time, so she didn't notice until she felt something was wrong with her thigh.
In a fit of rage, Olivia quietly pried Roland's hands off, then gently pushed Roland away and began groping under his body.
Suddenly, Olivia spotted a book, and her heart pounded with excitement.
'After all this effort, I finally got it!'
'Huh? Under the sheet? How did the book get under the sheet?'
Olivia looked completely bewildered.
Just then, Roland suddenly rolled over again while grinding his teeth and muttering to himself, and hugged Olivia in his arms.
Seeing that Roland was about to cover the book again, Olivia quickly slipped the book onto her side and tucked it under the sheet beneath her body.
'Finally, it's all done!'
At this moment, Olivia completely relaxed, and she wanted to cry her heart out. She no longer cared whether Roland was holding her or not.
All she could think about now was waiting a little longer, until that annoying guy was fast asleep, then she'd move Roland off the bed, lift the sheets, and take the book. Olivia was too exhausted to be angry now; she figured Roland would be sound asleep in two minutes at most. So she told herself to be patient, just a little more patient.
In the silence, Olivia counted the numbers in her mind; she vaguely remembered counting to 36.
36?
That's right, 36, it's a tie, but that guy cheated and insisted that he should drink.
-
It turns out that Olivia originally intended to count to 120 and then get up and run away, but she fell asleep while counting.
She dreamt that she and Roland were rolling dice. After a tie, that Roland cheated and, when she wasn't looking, poured her a whole bottle of wine!
By the time I realized it, I had already drunk more than half the bottle.
Roland's actions enraged Olivia, and the two immediately began fighting. A full-blown brawl erupted inside the carriage, terrifying the priests who scattered in panic.
Helena and Joan were very bold; seeing that Roland was being suppressed, they came over to deal with him together.
How could those three possibly be a match for me?!
However, the four people in the dream were drunk, and when they fought, it was like children playing around, which was quite absurd and ridiculous.
What a farce.
A few hours later, Roland quietly got dressed.
'It's really not that I have a problem with my character; she seduced me!'
'I've given her so many chances, okay? She just won't leave, and she even lay down next to me, groping me all over. What is this if not seduction?'
After comforting himself, Roland wiped the sweat from his body.
Judging from the view outside the window, the train has now entered the heart of the southern suburbs. I reckon we'll arrive when the three ladies wake up tomorrow.
Hmm. They'll probably sleep until noon.
As soon as they left the riverbank, the weather turned hot. The carriage was already stuffy, and Roland had done some physical exercise. His bathrobe was soaked through, mostly with sweat.
Roland opened the window a crack and dried the sweat on his body, feeling completely sober.
Well, he wasn't actually that drunk.
Olivia, on the other hand, was completely drunk. Roland had secretly put the book into his snake ring long ago, and no one knew what she was doing groping her body.
Roland thought to himself, 'Perhaps she thought she was sleeping in bed?'
'This guy's probably drunk and confused; he doesn't even know what he's touching.'
Roland took a sip of water, buttoned up the last few buttons on his shirt, and looked back at the bed.
The three young ladies were completely naked, and their sleeping postures were rather indecent.
Roland quickly found some clothes on the ground and dressed the three of them.
After working for half a day, Roland noticed that there were torn parts on the three people's clothes, so he quickly repaired them.
After finally finishing his work, Roland neatly arranged the three of them on the bed. However, he discovered bloodstains on the sheets.
'Damn it. It's Joan's! I forgot!'
Roland hurriedly resumed dealing with the crime scene.
If the three ladies find out what happened tonight, then it might not just be Olivia who wants to kill Roland.
Even though they're all his wives, this is still a rather despicable thing to do.
Fifteen minutes later, Roland finally finished dealing with everything. After checking the room and confirming that there were no major problems, he left the private room feeling very guilty and went to carriage number 2.
On the way, Roland encountered Theresa and Maria, who were getting up in the middle of the night.
The two men, dressed in pajamas, were using the restroom at the far end of the carriage. Roland didn't dare to greet them. Seeing that the two servants weren't paying attention, he hurriedly rushed into carriage number 2.
After closing the door, Roland confirmed that Theresa and Maria were not paying attention to them and had returned to their respective rooms, and he breathed a sigh of relief.
'How did Maria and my holy servant Teresa end up together? And they seem to get along quite well?'
Roland was certain that this Maria was 'Priestess Maria' because she had just entered Priestess Maria's room.
'Let's find out what happened tomorrow. We need to get past Olivia first.'
Roland found water in carriage number 2 and drank it.
He thought to himself, "I know nothing about what happened tonight!"
When I woke up, Olivia was already in my room. Who knows why she suddenly showed up?
I was so annoyed with her, and afraid I wouldn't be able to explain myself, so I left the carriage. On the way, I even ran into Theresa and Maria—they can vouch for me!
After quenching his thirst, Roland took out a book from the snake ring and went to the table to read it.
Upon closer inspection, the book was indeed Olivia's 'Book of Paradise'.
Or, as some might say, the 'Book of Rest'.
This book is a bit special; no matter which way you flip through it, the first thing you see is recent events.
So what Roland saw on the first page was what happened just as he left the house.
After watching for a while, Roland's expression turned somewhat unpleasant.
Theresa and Maria were wearing pajamas, which means they had been awake for a while.
Given their cautious nature, they would definitely check Olivia's and Roland's private rooms immediately.
According to the book, when she finished tidying up her room and was about to go out, Theresa and Maria were already at the door. When they saw her coming out, they hurriedly slipped back into the house.
After changing into their pajamas, the two intended to go to sleep, but they couldn't hear any noise in the hallway outside. So they decided to go out and check on the situation.
But then they found Roland had come out, so they pretended to go to the toilet.
Damn it!
Is it because I haven't been in a fight for too long that I'm not vigilant enough?
These two guys have been standing by the door peeking for so long and I didn't even notice!
Roland had a vague feeling that something was wrong.
Although he wasn't as vigilant as he was back in the Black Abyss Academy, Theresa and Maria hadn't just stayed at the door for a few minutes.
Moreover, they walked back and forth in the corridor several times without even noticing.
On this train, no one but Olivia should be qualified to do such a thing without her noticing.
Roland frowned and began to peruse the Book of Rest, trying to find the reason. But the more he looked at it, the stranger his expression became.
Slowly, Roland closed the book with a very interesting expression.
According to the book, Teresa and the other five people did not go to the kitchen with Helena at all.
They went with Olivia!
Perhaps, Olivia didn't mistake someone for someone else in the kitchen at all.
Or rather, she accepted a certain established fact, and thus the result of the 'dice' collapsed toward the fact she observed.
In the book's records, the six members of Theresa's group are not referred to as "Mad and Evil Heroic Spirits (Early Stage 1)" but rather as "Servants of the Holy Spirit," or "Archangels." (End of Chapter)
