Sherlock Holmes at Hogwarts.

Chapter 314 He Threatened My Friend

Chapter 314 He Threatened My Friend

Harry's life has become complicated ever since Sirius Black successfully sneaked into Hogwarts on Halloween Eve.

Whenever he left the Gryffindor common room, the teachers would find various excuses to accompany him through the corridors.

"Harry, are you going to the library? What a coincidence! I'm going too, how about we go together?"

"Going to the classroom? Oh no, I forgot my things!"

"Let's go eat in the auditorium? I'm a little hungry too, let's go!"

If it were professors like Flitwick, Sprout, or Lupin, it would be fine; Harry's interactions with them went relatively smoothly.

Professor McGonagall was in a rather awkward position, but it wasn't too bad for Harry.

But they were doomed once they encountered Professor Snape.

The other man's words were like poison, and Harry felt that every step he took with him was torture, yet he couldn't refuse his escort.

In this situation, he chose to stay by Sherlock's side as much as possible.

He noticed that Professor Snape would become more restrained whenever Sherlock was present—even though he didn't know why.

Besides the teachers, the student council president, Percy, practically followed him everywhere.

Although it's not a very good way to describe it, Harry really felt like he was a particularly impressive police dog right now.

"This is Mrs. Weasley's request."

When Harry complained that Percy followed him around all day, Sherlock gave his deduced answer: "She really cares about you."

“That’s true, but Sherlock, this feeling is just awful, I really…”

Harry thought for a long time but still couldn't figure out how to describe his current feelings.

"Take it easy, my friend."

Sherlock patted Harry on the shoulder:

"The first Quidditch match is coming soon, and if you continue with this impetuous mindset, it's unlikely you'll beat Slytherin."

From what I know of you, you've always taken this matter very seriously.

"Of course I value it! This is Wood's last chance to win a championship trophy, and I don't want to disappoint him again!"

Harry said excitedly, "You know, Sherlock, just now, Professor McGonagall called me into her office."

"Let me guess, she was initially relieved that she agreed to let you go to Hogsmeade on Halloween Eve, but then she said she didn't want you to participate in the Quidditch practice that night?"

"That's it! She told me that Blake came for me."

I also told her about Mr. Weasley's situation, which made her very happy. She said it was fortunate that I went to Hogsmeade, otherwise Black would have missed him.

But she felt that when I was training on the court, I was surrounded only by team members, which she considered a very revealing behavior.

"That being said, your expression tells me that you have convinced her."

Sherlock laughed. "Professor McGonagall's love for Quidditch is no less than that of your quirky captain."

"Let me think, she must have found a teacher to supervise, Ms. Hodge, right?"

"That's exactly right!"

Harry sighed. "I'm not surprised at all that you knew about this, but even so, I still hate this feeling."

"Sherlock, do you have any ideas?"

"Let's go!"

Under Harry's hopeful gaze, Sherlock stood up.

"Let's go, where?"

"Go find our beloved Professor Dumbledore. It's time to find out the whole story. This will help you understand your current situation."

"Just the two of us?"

Harry was somewhat surprised.

He was well aware that he was powerless to change anything, so he was just venting his frustration to Sherlock.

I never expected my older brother to be so decisive.

"That's enough. If you'd like, you can share it with others when you get back."

Harry naturally had no objection to this.

However, as soon as Sherlock and he stepped out of the common room, Percy immediately followed.

"Where are you going?" he asked warily. "You don't have astronomy class tonight."

Harry was speechless for a moment: "Percy, how did you know what courses I have?"

“I got your class schedule from Ron,” Percy said smugly. “Caring for your classmates is the student council president’s inescapable duty.”

Harry: "..."

"Tell me quickly, where are you going?"

"President Weasley, we need to go to the principal's office."

Upon hearing Sherlock address him by that name, Percy instinctively puffed out his chest, and the student council president's badge seemed to shine even brighter at that moment.

But he immediately asked, "The principal's office? Sherlock, what are you doing there?"

“We don’t know either,” Sherlock said, looking puzzled. “The headmaster told us to go find him. What, is Chairman Weasley planning to come along too?”

"W-what?!"

Percy's eyes widened when he heard Sherlock say that.

He pondered for a moment, and finally made up his mind to continue following the two.

However, the three hadn't been gone long when Professor Hagrid appeared.

"Sherlock, Harry, why aren't you in your common room? What are you doing here so late?"

“Professor, Sherlock said Mr. Dumbledore needs to speak with them. Are you aware of this?” Percy asked eagerly.

“Mr. Dumbledore…I don’t know.”

Hagrid looked at Sherlock, who looked at him with very sincere eyes.

"Ha, but it just so happens that I'm also going to find Mr. Dumbledore, so you can come with me!"

Hagrid clapped his hands on Sherlock and Harry as he spoke.

Sherlock stood firmly in place.

Caught off guard, Harry stumbled forward two steps before regaining his balance.

"Ah, then I'm relieved!"

Percy spoke with an air of importance, as if he were the one handing Sherlock and Harry over to Hagrid.

Harry breathed a sigh of relief after Percy left.

He preferred Hagrid to Percy.

He rubbed his shoulder and asked, "Hagrid, what does Mr. Dumbledore want you to do?"

"Yes, it's about the search of Black. I was at the Beating Willow... No, I can't tell you about this!"

Hagrid was halfway through his sentence when he suddenly realized something and slapped himself across the face.

"Why can't I control my mouth?"

Sherlock and Harry exchanged a glance, both remaining silent.

Why can't you control your mouth? Don't you know the answer in your heart?

However, neither of them had any intention of finding out Hagrid's secret at this point, so they stopped asking and followed him on his way.

Led by Hagrid, the two quickly arrived at the dripping stone beast.

Hagrid gave the command, and the three of them boarded the spiral staircase.

Throughout the entire process, Hagrid never doubted the possibility that Sherlock might be lying.

This made Harry extremely nervous.

Sherlock has always maintained that he would not lie in most cases—unless necessary.

Clearly, the situation has now reached a point where it is necessary.

But the problem is, what if we get caught later?
Just as Harry was lost in thought, Hagrid knocked on the bronze door knocker: "Sir, it's me!"

"Please come in, Rupert!"

Dumbledore's voice rang out, and Hagrid immediately pushed open the door and went in first.

Seeing Sherlock follow without hesitation, Harry gritted his teeth and followed them inside.

Based on past experience, even if he knew Sherlock was lying, Dumbledore shouldn't be angry if there was a reason behind it.

After all, he has a very good personality, unlike the serious Professor McGonagall...

Just as Harry was thinking this, he saw Professor McGonagall sitting opposite Dumbledore.

Harry: Σ(°△°|||)︴

Oh my god!

What's happening here?
Why is Professor McGonagall here too?

It's over now!

"I ran into Sherlock and Harry on the way, so I brought them along!"

Upon hearing Professor Hagrid's words, Professor McGonagall's eyes instantly sharpened:
“Harry, I’ve already told you about Sirius Black today, so why are you still running around in the hallways?”
And you, Mr. Holmes, should all be in your common room at this hour!

Harry tensed up immediately under Professor McGonagall's sharp gaze.

Sherlock remained calm: "Professor McGonagall, we want to know about Sirius Black."

"Didn't you already know about this?"

Professor McGonagall frowned. "Potter told me that Mr. Arthur Weasley has already told you what happened."

"That's correct, but I need more details."

Sherlock turned to Dumbledore and said, "I want to know what Black's relationship with Harry is, and just how close he is to Harry's father, James."

Dumbledore's deep gaze, peering through his half-moon spectacles, fell upon Sherlock. After a moment's hesitation, he asked:

What do you know now?

“I’m afraid I can’t deduce much,” Sherlock said. “All I know for now is that Sirius Black had a very good relationship with Harry’s father.”

However, he played a disgraceful role in Voldemort's murder of Harry, and was largely responsible for the deaths of Harry's parents.

Although everyone says that Black will take the second place after Voldemort's comeback, in my opinion, his change of allegiance is a bit too abrupt.

There is so much missing information about this event that happened more than a decade ago; it's like a secret room that was opened fifty years ago.

Therefore, I need your help.

Sherlock stared intently at Dumbledore, who seemed rather curious:
"You want to know this information right now?"

“Originally there wasn’t such a rush—but now that Blake has arrived at the school, I think it’s necessary to get to the bottom of this as soon as possible.”

"You've decided to investigate this matter?"

"I can't just stand by and watch him hurt my friend."

"very good."

Hearing Sherlock's words, Dumbledore smiled with satisfaction and turned to Professor McGonagall, "Minerva, you tell her."

Although you might not be reading during the holiday, I will still try my best to maintain a stable update schedule—Happy Dragon Boat Festival!
