Ethan pondered, "According to my research, Banner transforms into the Hulk under extreme stress or anger. Once transformed, his rational thinking is dominated by rage until he calms down or is exhausted. After reverting to human form, he is usually extremely weak and needs to recover."

“That’s our chance,” Lynn said. “He’ll need help and be very vulnerable once he turns back into Banner.”

Gwen stood up. "I'll go with you."

“No,” Lynn said firmly. “You and Ethan stay here and continue to control public opinion through the media. Remind people of the truth about Black Hawk Down and question the suddenness of this incident.”

Ethan nodded. "I understand. We can ask this question: Why did the Hulk suddenly appear and go berserk after our revelation? It's too much of a coincidence, isn't it?"

“Exactly,” Lynn said, putting on his bulletproof vest. “At the same time, try to hack into the surveillance cameras in Midtown. I need to know where Banner is and whether Black Hawk has been deployed.”

Gwen immediately sprang into action. "I'll set up an encrypted communication channel. Through this, I can transmit information to you in real time without being eavesdropped on."

Lynn took the special communicator from Gwen and put it in her ear. "Let's test it."

Gwen typed a few commands into the computer, then spoke into the microphone, "Lynn, can you hear me?"

“Clearly audible,” Lynn confirmed, then looked at Ethan. “Is there anything else I need to know about Banner or the Hulk?”

Ethan thought for a moment. “One important point: despite his destructive appearance, the Hulk seems to possess some cognitive abilities. In certain situations, he shows a tendency to protect the innocent. If you could approach him in a non-threatening manner, perhaps you could… but that’s too risky.”

Lynn nodded. “I understand. I’ll be careful.” He walked towards the door, but turned back to Gwen and Ethan before leaving. “No matter what happens, don’t leave the safe house. If I’m not back in six hours, activate the emergency protocols. Gwen knows what to do.”

Gwen's eyes glistened with tears, but she maintained a professional demeanor. "Understood. Be careful, brother."

Ethan nodded solemnly to Lynn, "Good luck."

Lynn left the safe house and quickly took the elevator down to the underground parking garage, where several unassuming but high-performance vehicles were parked, specifically for emergencies. He chose a black Ford, started the engine, and drove onto the rain-soaked streets of New York.

“Gwen, give me a live update,” Lynn said through the communicator, while driving quickly but cautiously toward the central district.

“In progress,” Gwen’s voice came through clearly. “I’ve hacked into traffic cameras and emergency channels. The Hulk was last seen near 42nd Street and 6th Avenue, moving towards Central Park. Police have cordoned off the area, and emergency responders are evacuating the public.”

Lynn frowned. "Any traces of Black Hawk?"

"There are no clear indications yet, but there are reports of several unidentified black helicopters seen circling above the area."

“Sounds like their style,” Lynn whispered, speeding towards the scene. “Keep looking for any possible Black Hawk agents or vehicles.”

As Lynn approached Midtown, traffic became increasingly congested, and many people attempted to flee the danger zone. He took several detours, used his FBI identity to navigate several police roadblocks, and finally parked his car a few blocks from the scene of the incident, deciding to proceed on foot.

“Lynn, there’s new information,” Gwen’s voice suddenly came through. “According to the latest social media live stream, the Hulk appears to have disappeared in Central Park. Many people are speculating that he may have turned back into Banner.”

“This is our chance,” Lynn said, quickening his pace toward Central Park. “Do you have the exact location?”

"Near the southeast corner of the park, close to 59th Street. But be careful, police are conducting a thorough search."

Lynn quickly adjusted his route and headed in the indicated direction. Central Park was unusually deserted on this rainy evening; the usually bustling pedestrian paths were almost empty, with only the distant sounds of sirens and circling helicopters breaking the silence.

He carefully avoided the main paths, moving along the edge of the woods, using his FBI training to remain concealed. As he approached the southeast corner of the park, he noticed several police search teams, armed with flashlights and police dogs, systematically searching every corner.

“Gwen, I need a more precise location,” Lynn whispered, crouching behind a large tree and observing the surroundings.

"Analyzing the thermal imaging data, etc., I think I've found something. There's a separate heat source near a maintenance hut in the southeast corner of the park, and the body temperature seems higher than normal. It could be Banner."

Lynn moved quickly but cautiously in the indicated direction, avoiding the search party. The maintenance hut was hidden behind a patch of low bushes; it was a simple brick structure, and the door looked like it had been locked for a long time.

He cautiously approached, listening carefully for any sounds. A faint groan came from inside the hut, sounding like someone was enduring pain.

Lynn decided to take the risk, knocking lightly three times on the door before whispering, "Dr. Banner? I'm here to help you."

A brief silence, followed by a weak reply: "Get out of danger."

“Doctor, I know who you are, and I know Black Hawk is after you,” Lynn said quickly. “We’ve released the truth about them. I’m not here to hurt you; I want to help you.”

Another silence followed, then a hoarse voice asked, "Who is it?"

“My name is Lynn Hall, an FBI agent. But I’m not here in an official capacity. I understand your situation, and I know the truth about the Hulk. Please let me help you.”

The door swayed slightly, as if someone inside hesitated whether to open it. Lynn heard faint footsteps, followed by a painful gasp.

“Doctor, I can tell you’re injured. The police and Black Hawk will be here soon. Let me help you.”

A few seconds later, the door slowly opened a crack. Lynn saw a trembling hand and a bloodshot eye.

“Come in quickly,” a weak voice said.

Lynn quickly slipped into the cabin and closed the door. The room was dark and cramped, with only a faint moonlight filtering in through a small window. In the corner, a thin man was curled up, leaning against the wall. He wore tattered clothes, looked extremely tired, and had a bleeding wound on his forehead.

This is Bruce Banner, the scientist misunderstood by the world, and also the fearsome Hulk. At this moment, he looks weak and helpless, completely unlike the behemoth capable of destroying buildings.

Lynn approached cautiously. "Dr. Banner, I am Lynn Hall. I know the truth about you and the Hulk, and I know that Black Hawk International is hunting you."

Banner looked up, his eyes filled with suspicion and exhaustion. "How did you find me?" "We've been investigating Black Hawk International," Lynn explained, taking out a small first-aid kit and beginning to treat Banner's wounds. "We discovered their 'Emerald Fist' program, knowing they wanted to capture you and study your abilities. Earlier today, we released that information to try and warn you."

Banner flinched slightly as Lynn cleaned the wound on his forehead. "Today's events...it wasn't my intention. Someone...they injected me with something. Suddenly, I felt extremely angry and couldn't control myself."

Lynn nodded. "I suspect Black Hawk did it. They need to prove the Hulk is a threat to diminish the impact of our revelations."

Banner closed his eyes, seemingly struggling to control his emotions. "How many casualties?"

“As far as I know, it was mainly property damage, with no confirmed deaths,” Lynn said, trying to keep her voice calm. “You seem to have avoided crowded areas even in that situation.”

Banner opened his eyes, slightly surprised. "Really? I rarely remember what happened during the transformation."

Lynn finished bandaging Banner's wounds, then took a bottle of water and some energy bars from his backpack. "These should help me recover. We need to get out of here as soon as possible."

Banner gratefully accepted the water and food. "Why are you helping me? You're the FBI, you should be arresting me."

Lynn gazed at the weary scientist. "Because I believe in doing the right thing, not just following orders. You're not a monster, Dr. Banner; you've been misunderstood. I've seen Ethan Black's investigation, and the evidence of your rescues while in a transformation state."

Banner ate a few bites of the energy bar, seemingly regaining some strength. "Ethan Black? That reporter?"

"Yes, he has collected a great deal of evidence about you, all of which shows that the Hulk is not the indiscriminately destructive monster portrayed in the media."

Banner shook his head. "He's wrong. I'm dangerous. Uncontrollable."

“Perhaps,” Lynn admitted, “but your nature is not evil. Even in that state, you showed an instinct to protect the innocent.”

Their conversation was interrupted by the sudden approach of footsteps and the barking of a dog.

“The search party is here,” Lynn said in a low voice, quickly standing up. “Can you walk?”

Banner tried to stand up, but his legs were clearly weak. "Not sure," he said.

Lynn glanced out the window and saw the flashlight beam moving towards the cabin. "There's no time." He quickly devised a plan. "I'm an FBI agent; I can use that to cover for you. Come with me."

He helped Banner to his feet, one hand on his shoulder, the other holding his FBI badge. They had just opened the door when a group of police officers with police dogs turned the corner, their flashlights shining directly at them.

"Halt! Who are you?" a policeman shouted.

Lynn held up his FBI badge. "Lynn Hall, FBI. I'm on a special mission."

The police hesitated, their flashlight beams shining on his identification.

“What mission? We haven’t received any notification of any FBI operation,” the lead officer said, remaining vigilant.

Lynn remained calm, his voice authoritative. "This is a highly confidential operation related to today's events. I'm escorting a key witness away from the scene." He gestured to Banner. "This gentleman witnessed the entire incident and may possess crucial information about the Hulk."

The officers exchanged glances, clearly weighing whether they should trust the suddenly appearing FBI agent.

“I need to confirm,” the lead officer finally said, taking out his walkie-talkie.

Lynn's heart raced, but he remained outwardly calm. "Of course, but remember, this is a classified operation. Contact your superiors and tell them the code name 'Emerald Fist.' They'll understand."

The officer hesitated; the mysterious codename seemed to make him uneasy. Just then, his walkie-talkie crackled to life; an anxious voice reported suspicious activity on the west side of the park.

The officer made his decision, "Okay, Detective, you can take your witness. But I need your contact information for follow-up."

Lynn quickly provided his FBI office number, knowing no one would answer at this time, buying them valuable time. The officer noted the information down and led his team away to a new search location.

“That was amazing,” Banner said weakly, after the police were out of sight.

“We need to keep moving,” Lynn said, still supporting Banner. “Black Hawk is likely searching too, and they won’t be persuaded as easily as the police.”

“Where to?” Banner asked. “Nowhere is safe.”

“I have a safe house,” Lynn replied. “My companions are there, including Ethan Black. We can protect you and help you uncover Black Hawk’s plot.”

Banner seemed to consider the suggestion, a glimmer of hope flashing in his eyes, quickly replaced by worry. "What if I change my mind again? I'll endanger all of you."

Lynn looked Banner straight in the eye. "That's a risk we're willing to take. You shouldn't face this alone, Doctor. Someone is willing to help you, and believes in you."

Banner was silent for a moment, then nodded slightly. "Alright, I'll go with you. But if there's any indication that I'm going to change my mind, you must leave immediately to protect yourself and your friends."

“Deal,” Lynn said, then whispered into the communicator, “Gwen, I’ve found Banner. We’re evacuating and need a safe route back to the safe house.”

“Calculating,” Gwen’s voice came through. “The police have set up checkpoints at the main exits of the park, but a small gate in the northeast corner doesn’t seem to be heavily monitored. I’ll guide you.”

Lynn and Banner began to move slowly but steadily in the designated direction, avoiding the search party and patrolling police. Although weak, Banner seemed to gradually regain some strength as he walked.

“What did they do to you?” Lynn asked quietly as they moved. “You mentioned someone injected something.”

Banner shook his head, his expression pained. "I'm not sure. I was watching the news in a coffee shop when I saw the breaking news about Black Hawk. As I was about to leave, I felt a sharp pain in my neck. At first, I thought it was just ordinary pain, but a few minutes later, I started to feel extremely angry, an uncontrollable anger. Then... everything went blurry." (End of Chapter)
