Chapter 9: The Trouble with the Halloween Chapter

Chapter 9 Halloween Incident
On Halloween night, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry held a grand party.

In the restaurant, many pumpkin lanterns of various shapes slowly float in the air, emitting a mysterious and warm light.

The Weasley twin brothers were creative in dressing themselves up as vampires. Their lifelike fangs and spooky clothes made them look particularly scary, specifically to scare the classmates around them.

For a moment, laughter echoed in the hall.

The professors sat together, communicating with each other happily and enthusiastically.

Only Professor Snape, although present, seemed absent-minded and gloomy, which was out of tune with the joyful atmosphere here.

"It's great to be young," Professor McGonagall looked at the energetic students with a loving look on her face, with a hint of melancholy, "I always used to wonder what life would be like if I had a child..."

"You'll be an incredible mother," Weiss said in a sincere and comforting tone.

"Come on," Professor McGonagall waved her hand gently, a helpless look on her face. "I'm not popular with children. I'm afraid those naughty little guys will stay away from me when they see me."

"Most children today don't understand that strictness is actually a form of deep love. When they enter society and experience the ups and downs of life, they will surely be deeply grateful for your teachings."

Weiss said this half out of sincere praise, and the other half was also a bit of flattery for the professor.

"When did you become so good at talking?" Professor McGonagall said teasingly, her lips curled up. "I wonder how many girls have been fooled by your eloquent mouth."

Weiss just shrugged lightly, with a look of calmness and composure on his face.

"No way!" Professor McGonagall covered her mouth with her hands in surprise, her eyes wide open, "Wes, you haven't experienced a relationship yet."

At Hogwarts, many young wizards have already started their first love journey when they are fifteen or sixteen years old.

Cases like Wes's are as rare as the legendary unicorn.

Some professors even looked at him with sympathy.

"Don't feel sorry for me," Weiss said calmly, skillfully cutting off a small piece of steak. "The world of magic is so vast, it's worth spending my whole life exploring and pursuing it."

Pomona Slott couldn't hold back her tears when she heard this. She choked up and said, "Poor Wes, he has never tasted the sweetness of love."

Dumbledore suddenly interrupted and said, "Do you need Severus to help you prepare some love potion?"

"Shut up, Albus!" Professor McGonagall said sternly, "Don't come up with such ridiculous ideas again."

Weiss put down the knife and fork in his hand, sighed softly, and said, "Headmaster, I am also good at brewing potions. Although I can't compare with the superb skills of Professor Snape, the master of potions, I also know clearly that love potions are illegal potions."

"Really?" Dumbledore muttered with an aggrieved expression on his face, "Once people get older, their memory gets worse and worse."

Weiss would never believe Dumbledore's nonsense.

Just when the professors were discussing enthusiastically about introducing a good girl to Wes.

Professor Quirrell suddenly rushed into the Great Hall with a look of panic.

His large scarf was worn askew on his head, and his face was filled with fear.

"The troll, the troll is in the basement." After saying this, his legs went weak and he fell headfirst to the floor, fainting on the spot.

In an instant, the auditorium became chaotic.

Professor Dumbledore had to use magic and yell at the top of his lungs to quiet everyone down.

He quickly instructed the prefects to take the students of each grade safely to the dormitories, and the professors were to go with him to the basement to check the situation.

When all the students had left, Dumbledore led the professors hurried to the basement.

Before they entered the basement, everyone heard the sound of fierce fighting coming from the direction of the women's bathroom.

Upon hearing the sound, the professors immediately changed direction and walked quickly towards the women's bathroom.

As soon as I got closer, a disgusting smell hit my nose, a pungent smell that was a mixture of smelly socks and the foul odor of an uncleaned public toilet.

Everyone knew that this was the unbearable smell unique to trolls. The professors quickly drew their wands and took precautions.

After entering the women's bathroom, I found that the entire bathroom had been smashed to pieces and was in a mess.

A giant monster lay helplessly on the ground.

Hermione was sitting on the ground with tears on her face. Harry and Ron were surrounding her, comforting her softly.

"Oh my God." Professor McGonagall couldn't help but exclaimed, "Can someone tell me what happened?"

Seeing this, Weiss waved his wand and cast a spell. A strong whirlwind came, picked up the strong stench, and slammed the window open.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

Ron hadn't fully realized the seriousness of the situation yet, and he danced excitedly, showing off the entire process of himself and Harry heroically saving the beauty.

As a result, he was greeted by Professor Snape's merciless and venomous attack: "Is there fecal stone in your head? In all these years, I have never met students as stupid as you."

Professor McGonagall also looked serious and began to lecture the three people harshly: "Why didn't you notify the professor immediately? Do you think we are not trustworthy?"

Hermione stood up weakly, sobbing and choking as she said, "I accidentally attracted the troll."

"If they hadn't found me in time, I'd definitely be dead now. The troll was about to eat me up when they arrived!"

"Ms. Granger, I originally thought you were the least worrying student in this class."

Professor McGonagall's disappointed tone made Hermione drop her head in shame.

"Five points from Gryffindor for your reckless behavior."

Professor McGonagall made the decision to deduct points without mercy.

When the three heard about the points deduction, their expressions instantly turned dejected, especially Hermione, who blamed herself so much that tears welled up in her eyes.

"However, as first-year students, you were so brave to fight the troll. In view of your outstanding performance, Harry and Ron can each win 5 points for Gryffindor."

Upon hearing this, the three of them immediately turned their worries into joy and excitedly high-fived to celebrate.

"Okay, check if you have any injuries."

Pomona Slott walked forward and carefully examined the three people. After confirming that they were not seriously injured, she let them go back and rest.

The giant monster continued to emit a foul stench, and in just a short while, the pungent smell filled the entire space again.

Professor McGonagall and several other professors could not stand the disgusting smell and left in a hurry.

At this time, only Weiss, Dumbledore and Snape were left at the scene.

"What are you doing here?" Snape looked at Weiss with disgust.

Weiss said calmly, unhurriedly, "I want to see if there's anything I can do to help here."

But his eyes were always fixed on the giant monster's body.

You know, many parts of the troll can be used as precious raw materials for alchemy and potions. It is rare to encounter one, and Wes couldn't help but feel excited.

But Snape has always been very wary of Weiss.

"You are not needed here, please leave immediately."

Dumbledore, who had been silent just now, now spoke up to drive them away: "Could you give us some private space?"

Weiss had no choice but to leave in disappointment, leaving behind a message: "I can buy the troll's materials at a high price, and I can also help if you need an autopsy. Believe me, I have extensive experience in autopsies."
