Chapter 4 Fairy's Deal

Diagon Alley is undoubtedly the most prosperous commercial street in the British wizarding world.

Many first-line brand stores that are well-known in the wizarding world have set up "flagship stores" here, showing their unique and charming charm.

It is as bustling here as ever, presenting a vibrant scene.

A group of little wizards happily held ice cream from Florin's Cold Drink Shop in their hands, with innocent smiles on their faces, and chased and played with each other on the spacious streets.

Weiss took a deep breath and said with emotion: "It really feels more comfortable here."

Compared to the Marvel world, Weiss clearly feels more at home in the Harry Potter world, so most of the time he chooses to stay in this fantasy world.

"I still have to exchange the gold for Galleons, and then I'll be exploited by those shrewd goblins again."

Weiss muttered softly as he made his way through the bustling crowd towards Gringotts.

The first door of Gringotts was a shiny bronze gate, with several goblin guards in scarlet and gold uniforms standing upright at the door.

Whenever a customer comes, they will bow to him respectfully, showing their professionalism and rigor.

The second door was silver, with a warning message prominently engraved on it:

Diagon Alley

Come in, stranger, but be careful

What will happen if you are greedy?

Asking blindly and getting something for nothing
Will be punished most severely

So if you want to take it from our underground vault
A wealth that never belonged to you,

Thief, you have been warned,
Be careful not to attract treasure, but evil retribution.

Passing through this magnificent silver gate, you step into the spacious marble hall.

There were about a hundred goblins sitting behind the long counter, hurriedly recording various accounts in the thick ledger.

Some goblins were concentrating on weighing coins on a scale to ensure that the weight of each coin was accurate;
Some hold eyepieces and carefully inspect the quality and authenticity of the gems.

Inside this magnificent white marble building, there is a busy and orderly atmosphere everywhere.

"Well, well, look who's here."

A shrewd and capable-looking goblin wearing gold-rimmed glasses rubbed his hands quickly, put on a flattering smile on his face, and bowed deeply to Weiss.

"Mr. Erwin, your presence always makes me happy."

"Augustine, you only welcome the gold I brought."

Weiss mercilessly exposed his thoughts.

"It's all the same, Mr. Irving, please follow me.

Augustine didn't care about Weiss's bluntness and continued to invite him warmly.

Then, Augustine took Wes into a luxuriously decorated VIP room.

The servant skillfully filled the teapot and then retreated respectfully without saying a word.

"Mr. Irwin, let's start." Augustine said impatiently.

"Are you in such a hurry?" Weiss raised his eyebrows, appearing unhurried.

"There's a Muggle proverb that makes sense: time is money, Mr. Irving." Augustine pushed his glasses and said seriously.

Weiss calmly opened the suitcase and gently waved his wand. Glittering golden bars instantly flew out from it and were neatly stacked together.

"Oh! The smell of gold is so charming."

Augustine's eyes lit up instantly and he spoke with an obsessed look on his face.

Then he quickly put on white gloves, took out a magic prop shaped like a needle, and carefully placed it on the gold bar. In an instant, the magic prop burst into dazzling light.

"Great, 9% pure gold, top quality stuff!" Augustine was so excited that he couldn't help but exclaimed loudly.

"It's still the same." Weiss took a sip of black tea, then frowned and said dissatisfiedly: "Augustine, the quality of your tea is really too poor. I am your VIP customer."

"Tea is enough to quench your thirst. By the way, aren't you planning to deposit your money in Gringotts? I have the ability to get you a higher interest rate." Augustine continued to tempt.

"No," Weiss refused without hesitation, "I'll spend this money soon. I don't like saving money."

"What a pity." Seeing that his persuasion was futile, Augustine stopped talking.

Just then, several goblins walked in, carrying a huge scale with great effort.

"Be careful, you idiots! If you break this treasure, I'll sell you to a dark wizard," Augustine shouted. Hearing this, the goblins shuddered and became even more cautious with their movements.

Weiss was no stranger to this situation.

When the scales were placed steadily, the goblins hurried away without even looking up, as if they were running for their lives.

Weiss just turned his wrist slightly, and the gold bars seemed to come alive, flying quickly to the tray on one side of the scale.

On the other side of the tray, weights appeared one after another out of thin air until the two sides finally reached a state of balance.

Immediately afterwards, a string of surprising numbers appeared on the scale.

Augustine swiftly recorded the number on a carefully prepared contract. "Mr. Erwin, if you are sure there are no problems, please sign your name."

“Very fair price.”

Wes didn't hesitate, picked up the pen very quickly, and signed his name in a flamboyant manner.

Seeing this, Augustine snapped his fingers casually, and the contract disappeared without a trace in an instant.

"plz follow me."

After Augustine finished speaking, he turned around without hesitation and led the way.

The two of them walked into an elevator that looked a little old, and the elevator continued to sink.

"Ding!"

The elevator door slowly opened, revealing the deepest part of the underground before their eyes. This was undoubtedly the location of the Gringotts vault.

This place is filled with complicated mechanisms, countless magical lights are looming, and the mysterious curse power is surging in the dark.

There is even a huge fire dragon guarding here.

The goblins have always claimed that this is the safest place in the world.

Most wizards in the British wizarding world safely store their money here, including those noble pure-blood families.

However, in comparison, Wes still believes more in relying on his own abilities to protect his wealth.

The two then boarded a somewhat old-looking mine cart, and after a thrilling ride like a crazy roller coaster, they finally arrived outside the vault.

Next, they went through a series of complex and tedious verification processes, including but not limited to strict identity verification, meticulous contract verification, precise magic verification, etc.
Finally, Augustine carefully inserted the key into the lock.

"Click~"

"Click~"

The heavy sound of mechanical rotation slowly sounded, and the complex and exquisite vault door opened automatically.

The experienced Wes quickly opened the suitcase.

Then, countless gold Galleons flew out of the vault like a tide and entered Wes's suitcase in an orderly manner.

When the last gold Galleon fell steadily into the suitcase, the vault door slowly closed.

After leaving Gringotts, Weiss went into full-throttle purchasing mode.

He first stepped into Slug & Giggs' Pharmacy, wandered among the dazzling array of shelves, and carefully purchased a wide variety of herbs and various precious materials.

Then, he appeared in the Ink Changing Stationery Store, carefully screened and selected in the store, and finally chose high-end parchment, high-quality ink and exquisitely crafted automatic feather pen.

After thoroughly raiding Diagon Alley, Weiss still had an unsatisfied look on his face, and it was obvious that he was not satisfied with it.

So, in order to avoid unnecessary trouble, Wes put on a mask and made some simple disguises and came to the mysterious and dangerous Knockturn Alley.

You know, Diagon Alley represents the bright and orderly side of the British wizarding world, while Knockturn Alley is its dark, chaotic and lawless corner.

It is a dark and chaotic place with all kinds of people, including cryptic thieves, ruthless poachers, evil dark wizards, and even the dreaded Death Eaters.

Almost everything sold here violates the laws and moral codes of the wizarding world, such as rare organs of protected magical creatures, black magic props full of evil power, horrifying human body materials, etc.

Wes was very familiar with the environment here. He came to Borgin and Burke's Wizarding World with ease and searched the store with great anticipation.

However, this time he was greatly disappointed.

There was nothing in the store that caught his eye or caught his eye.

Having money in hand but not being able to spend it is also a painful and helpless thing.
