Dedicate loyalty to the good empire
Chapter 54: Renewing the Past, Part 2
Chapter 54: Renewing the Past, Part 2
What is war? This proposition has troubled many people, but for Taylor, war is very simple.
War is to kill the enemy's vitality and preserve your own vitality, in other words.
苟。
The military practice is cautious.
At this point, several tunnels, a large number of bunkers, a protracted battle, a war of attrition, such annoying and disgusting fighting methods have dragged down the Space Marines like a quagmire.
Of course, those supermen were no fools, and they quickly realized the problem they were facing.
After the Catachan Forest Warriors destroyed a filth-ridden Land Reaver with a melta-blast, the Chaos Traitors could no longer resist and began to retreat.
They lost the rhythm of the war, which was quite fatal. When the smell of blood filled the battlefield, the loser was always the one who could not control the direction of his battle.
Taylor was now lying in the hole, smelling the stench coming from the bodies of those damn Nurgle believers, like the infamous Macari cheese filled with live maggots.
Fortunately, there are quite a few things with this flavor in his hometown.
Frankly speaking, it was similar to the sewers of the hive city, and he had tried to get usable metal parts from it, even though the iron sheets still had a smell after being soaked in cooling water for half a month.
This reminded him of the past. If he had not been bewitched into joining the Imperial Guard, he would probably have relied on his own abilities to earn a store in the hive and become a small businessman.
Probably making money by remaking garbage and recycling, he looked at the Likart knife in his hand and felt that he should be able to do well.
A rare smile appeared on Taylor's lips. He didn't know why. Maybe it was the advantage of the war, or maybe it was because he had just left a bullet hole in the shoulder armor of a fallen angel?
He gently dug up the soil and at the same time made an understanding of his emotions in his heart.
After smashing the shoulders of several careless cultists with his lasers, he retreated to the ground, then picked up an engineering shovel to expand his range, slowly filling it with rotten leaves.
Listening to the muffled shouting and cursing outside, it looked like the cultists wanted to curse Taylor's ancestors for eight generations, but they had to use Low Gothic because it lacked emotional vocabulary.
Words like "shit" and "trash" are completely harmless.
Taylor understood where his happiness came from, because he was a villain at heart and liked to harm those who threatened him.
Because this is a war, if you want to survive you must be more insidious than others!
He led the team slowly forward underground like a groundhog. The moist soil provided them with a unique opportunity, but there were not enough wooden support belts, so landslides were likely to occur if they moved forward.
Taylor was sure that they had broken out of the encirclement, a position that would allow them to escape, but it was still too dangerous.
He loosened the soil, raised his head and looked around. He wanted to find a temporary base and soon found a protruding hill with a nice, naturally formed cave.
After a clear order, they dug in about half an hour later.
When Taylor broke through the soil and poked his head out, Taylor's cheek was pressed against the huge mountain, soft and unforgettable.
No, to be precise, the smell was still fresh in his memory.
Like an orange.
He immediately thought of the girl on the farm who almost had sex with him, no, the witch.
Now, two tall mountains stood there, with that delicate face and the unique Slaanesh symbol on her waist, she looked at Taylor with a fascinated expression.
And here, this cave, is full of interesting things, such as monsters with human heads and goat bodies, or human bodies with goat heads, or real goats.
The damp and cold air of the cave made Taylor shudder at the sight of the candles and the iconic Chaos Eight-pointed Star on the ground, drawn in white limestone.
A few pieces of flesh of some unknown creature lay on it, and the lady who had walked all the way here from the planet where the orcs and the knights fought was laughing and talking in her honey-like voice.
"Ah, Mr. Baron, you and I have a deep connection."
"Whether it's the outpost you're in or you yourself, sometimes I feel like you're a treasure bestowed upon me by the gods~"
Taylor raised his saber and pointed it at the psyker as he climbed out of the ground.
"You're obviously following me!"
The woman replied, "You seem to have it all wrong. It seems you're the one who's been so persistent." Taylor looked at her, unfazed by her old friend's glib words.
He noticed the ritual objects and the damned runes, and how he wished he was looking at a pile of things meant to serve the Emperor, not this.
He surveyed the strange fusions of men and sheep, feeling a pity for Slaanesh's impoverished imagination.
Even if you get some cat-eared girls or furry, you won’t be ranked fourth among the four gods.
However, the strange thing is that Taylor does not feel fear now. On the contrary, maybe it is because he knows this guy, or the Space Marines outside are more terrifying, he actually feels it now.
Facing a group of cultists and Slaanesh mutant monsters was surprisingly acceptable.
Better than fighting Space Marines.
He placed his saber against the woman's neck and said, "Don't move!"
The lady leaned against his arms in an ambiguous posture. You know, her clothes were more revealing than her previous peasant girl clothes, and he could clearly feel the warmth and softness of her skin.
Taylor cursed. "My other gun won't hold it down."
She replied. "That's not bad either."
"This knife is not bad either. It seems that the rumors are true. He is indeed a man I admire."
Taylor's face flushed, and then he felt embarrassed by the looks from the Lightlin girl and Katie.
After all, Team 15 had already walked out of the cave with weapons in hand, but they were both covered in dust and dirt and didn't look as attractive as the female cultist.
But Taylor knew that what he was holding in his arms was not a beautiful woman, but a terrifying beast.
Her psychic power is strong enough to rival that of the Empire's professional psychics, but she doesn't like to fight with herself, or to play tricks on herself.
At least, Taylor never saw what she was truly capable of.
Taylor asked her now. "Why aren't you afraid? If I bring you back to the Imperium, you'll be punished as a traitor, burned at the stake or something worse. Perhaps you'll be cast into the Astronomican and become fuel for the Emperor."
The woman licked her lips. "It doesn't matter. This situation is just so confusing and interesting to me."
"We can definitely do something interesting in this situation."
Taylor cursed. "Don't joke, I'll kill you!"
The woman replied. "I'm not kidding, because an angry Space Marine is coming, and he's now serving as my dog."
Suddenly, an angry and hoarse voice came from outside the cave, sounding like something sticky.
"Who are you calling a dog!? I've had enough of you, witch!"
A Chaos Space Marine wearing dark green armor and a brass gas mask on his mouth came over. There were many heads hanging on his body, both human and green.
His huge body blocked the entire cave entrance and he looked at Taylor angrily.
His tone suddenly became happy. "Oh, it's you. So you are Taylor."
"I shot you. I thought our fate was over."
"It seems my loving father has given me a second chance!"
Taylor thought of the bomb that almost killed him, and his thighs began to go weak.
I play Space Marine?
Are you serious?
