From a carp to a dragon god

Chapter 225: Transmission and Enrollment into the Dao League

Chapter 225: Transmission and Enrollment into the Dao League
When you give someone a gift, you must have something to ask for, let alone a valuable gift. One has to be extremely cautious, and even a monster cannot agree to it out of hand.

After hearing Yin Chenzi's promise, Yu Shuyang was not overwhelmed and continued to think about it in his mind.

The Scripture Master is one of the three teachers who transmit ordination. He is responsible for imparting the meaning of the scriptures, principles, and magic. If the teacher and student are satisfied with each other, they can form a master-disciple relationship.

Therefore, people are often very cautious in selecting a scripture teacher. Although a scripture teacher is not a master, everyone regards him as a master.

This influence was almost negligible to Yu Shuyang. He was carrying the Taoist lineage, and from the very beginning it was decided that he would not be able to worship the scripture master as his master.

To sum it up in one sentence, Yu Shuyang is destined to be the ancestor of a lineage. Apart from the ancestor of the Taoist lineage, there will not be another one above him.

The inheritance of Dharma lineage is related to fortune and Taoism, and must be traced back to its origins without allowing any ambiguity. In the future, disciples will also have to write the life stories of their ancestors to determine the relationship between their own Dharma lineage and other families.

The current situation seems to be that Yin Chenzi is here to teach him, but in fact, Yin Chenzi is using this opportunity to build relationships, hoping that he will accept one or two Qingqiu foxes as apprentices in the future.

Yu Shuyang doesn't care about this. As long as the person's temperament and character are fine and his aptitude for cultivation is up to standard, there will be no problem in accepting him as his disciple.

Look at the Great Sage of Innate Morality. He is the recognized ancestor of Taoism in all the heavens and worlds, and he has firmly grasped the moral education.

The descendants of Taiqing Palace can be divided according to their seats to form a Three Caves True Immortal. Even the discussions among these disciples after listening to the teachings are recorded in a Three Caves Dharma Collection, which becomes the Dharma lineage for learning in the lower world.

Later, after Yu Shuyang escapes the catastrophe and ascends to heaven, he will become one of the Three Caves True Immortals of Taiqing Palace, just like the founder of the Taoist Alliance, and spread the Dharma everywhere while traveling through the heavens and all realms.

In this way, Yu Shuyang agreed to Yin Chenzi's request, and the two monsters discussed the matter of alchemy again in the room.

The main topic of discussion was the water method of alchemy and the Ladan technique. The last time Yu Shuyang refined the Xuanming Five Qi Pill, he always felt that there was something wrong with the Ladan technique.

Facts have proved that his intuition is correct. The key to alchemy by water method is to wash the pill and collect it. After the pill embryo is refined, there is no need for the alchemist to control the pill. It only needs to be washed and collected with the pill water in the pool.

After hearing this, Yu Shuyang finally woke up from his dream. Thinking about how he had controlled Bin Laden with his mind as small as a drop of water, it seemed ridiculous now. This was called a thankless task.

It really proves the truth: True transmission can be conveyed in one sentence, while false transmission requires thousands of volumes of scriptures.

Then, Yin Chenzi passed on to Yu Shuyang the alchemy method he developed by combining four alchemy methods and four alchemy materials into one - the Furnace of Heaven and Earth.

This alchemy method is no longer just a method, but an external alchemy technique that can make elixirs without an alchemy furnace and is not restricted by alchemy materials.

The most crucial point is that there is no pill tribulation. No matter what kind of elixir is being refined, it will not be affected by external tribulation of heaven and earth.

The secret lies in the fact that the furnace of heaven and earth uses the power of water, fire, earth and wood to refine flesh, blood, gold, stone and plants, while absorbing the good fortune in the spiritual medicine and cultivating the spiritual roots of the spiritual medicine.

Finally, the elixir is refined, and the spiritual medicine residue from refining is mixed to cultivate and grow a spiritual medicine, so as not to harm the vitality of heaven and earth.

For a while, Yin Chenzi was happy teaching, and Yu Shuyang was also happy learning, until his junior brother Li Taiping and the tiger demon Fuchenzi came out of the dream room.

The group of four monsters split into two waves. Yin Chenzi took two steps forward to mediate, while the tiger monster Fuchenzi followed with Li Taiping and Yu Shuyang.

The Dream Room is the backyard of the Huangliang Taoist Palace. To get to the main hall in the front yard, one must go along a corridor. Otherwise, one must go around from the back to the back door and then walk from the outside to the main hall in the front yard.

This was their arrangement at the time. Yin Chenzi first returned to the main hall to persuade the alchemists of the Turtle and Snake tribes. The three tribes simply reached a consensus and each would send a member of the tribe to become Yu Shuyang's disciple.

Similarly, Yin Chenzi would also help to get some benefits. This was something he had just agreed upon with Yu Shuyang. The matters concerning the turtle and snake tribes could not be concealed.

Otherwise, when they get to the main hall, Taoist priests from the turtle and snake tribes will stand up to question or even expose Yin Chenzi's deception in person, and Yin Chenzi's trick will be exposed.

Of course, in order to cooperate with Yin Chenzi, the three monsters had to go out from the backyard and then walk back to the hall from the main gate, which was a long journey.

The Huangliang Taoist Palace was built according to the layout of the Three Talents, Five Elements, Eight Trigrams and Nine Palaces. It is a five-entry palace that integrates caves, towers and pavilions into one, just like the paradise of the demon clan.

The main hall of the main courtyard is dedicated to the Taoist ancestor, the main hall of the second courtyard is dedicated to the founder of the Taoist lineage of the Central Earth Taoist League, the third courtyard is the Taoist room of the Taoist League, the fourth courtyard is the examination room, and the fifth courtyard is the library.

It is a large framework of two halls and three rooms, with supporting courtyard rooms on the left and right, like the dream room where Yu Shuyang and the others stayed just now. In addition, there are quiet rooms, quiet rooms, ventricles, atria, etc.

The tiger demon Fuchenzi took the two demons for a stroll and first went to the Taoist room to take a look. This was the market place for the disciples of the Taoist Alliance, where they could trade goods and communicate information.

For example, if someone wants to purchase elixirs or magical instruments, or sell elixirs or treasures, they can post a sign in the Taoist room to state their needs. If someone is suitable, they can take down the sign and contact them by flying talisman.

In this way, people in the Middle-earth world, whether it is the inland of Kyushu or the four seas and eight wildernesses, can communicate with each other in the Taoist room through entering dreams.

Everyone is a disciple of the Taoist Alliance. Regardless of whether they have received true teachings or have become naturalized disciples, they all worship under the Taoist ancestor and will not harm each other, let alone worry about being deceived.

After all, the Taoist Ancestor is above, and there are clear rules and regulations to constrain him, and the will of heaven and earth is his witness. Anyone who harms his fellow disciples will suffer the pain of reincarnation for eternity.

The second is the Examination Office, which is the place where the Dao League and the Middle-earth Heavenly Dao make an agreement. It is dedicated to issuing tasks to the disciples of the alliance, namely: external merit, military merit, and heavenly merit.

Disciples of the Dao League who practice the Dao must do things for the heaven and earth, which means accumulating external skills, so that they will not be killed when they break through the tribulation.

Military merit is a task entrusted by the human dynasty. If you complete it, you will receive rewards from the human race. Don't worry about them refusing to pay. The Taoist Alliance will act as a guarantor. If anyone refuses to pay, the examination office will help you get double the money.

The most special thing about Tiangong is that it is calculated by the examination office, or it is secretly instructed by the will of heaven and earth. If the task is accomplished, the person will be granted a title of Tianjue.

This heavenly nobility is similar to the position of a god, but those who receive the heavenly nobility will not fall into a killing calamity, and there will be no demons coming to send the gods back to their positions.

The last room is the library, where books are placed according to categories, including methods of cultivation, such as the methods collected from immortal families and demon families.

Similarly, the Dao League also has its own, such as the Three Laws and Four Cultivations, and the Ten Sects of Dharma, which are also compiled into volumes in great detail and placed here.

Of course, there are more than just these. Things like the Hundred Arts of Immortals, the Nine Schools of Literature and Education of the Human Race, and the Seven Schools of Martial Arts are also compiled into volumes and placed here.

You can post information in the Taoist Office and take on various tasks in the Examination Office. The books in the library are not free to read, and you must pay for them with Taoist merit.

The so-called Taoist merit is to enlighten one's mind and see one's nature, and to constantly comprehend the Taoist scriptures. It can help the library to annotate the scriptures, or teach the scriptures to new disciples.

This is also one of the sources of scripture teachers. After all, most of the disciples who were admitted to the Taoist Alliance were not like Yu Shuyang who was proud of his Taoist inheritance, or the bloodline of the founder of the Dharma lineage, Li Taiping.

To the outside world, it is to promote Taoism, spread Taoist scriptures such as the Five Great Sutras and the Thirty-Six Sutras, or select outstanding disciples to join the Taoist Alliance.

The three demons toured the Taoist temple, the examination room, and the library before coming out from the back door and walking along the outer wall of the Taoist palace towards the main gate.

After walking out of the Huangliang Taoist Palace, Yu Shuyang was surprised to find that the Taoist Palace was actually a snail shell, lying under the spiritual root of Meng Huangliang.

At this time, the black spots no longer fell on the yellow rice, and it was obvious that the dream was over. Many people and monsters were seen queuing outside the Taoist temple.

Fortunately, Huangliang Dreamland is big enough, and the open space at Daogong Mountain Gate is also large enough so that it is not crowded with people.

The queue was divided into three waves: the left side was filled with monsters, the right side was filled with humans, and the middle section was much smaller, but still a mixture of humans and monsters. Many Taoist priests and Taoist children were among the crowd, helping to organize the queues and occasionally letting a group into the Taoist temple.

"Fellow Daoist, what's going on? Why are they divided into three teams? Is there any explanation?" Yu Shuyang looked at the team and asked Fuchenzi in confusion.

The tiger demon Fuchenzi gently shook the whisk in his hand. His whisk looked like a square leaf, with two thin wooden strips holding a circle of deer tail hair, and was similar in size to a feather fan.

The 麈 is a large deer, the leader of the herd, and can command the herd by swinging its tail. The 麈尾 is a hair fan made in the style of this deer, and is a prop commonly used by Taoists when discussing the mysteries of Taoism.

"Fellow Daoist Yu, these two teams are both second-rate candidates. They lack talent and understanding, so they must start as Daoist children before joining the alliance.

The team in the middle has high moral character and good talent, and can directly enter the main hall to receive the initiation." The tiger demon Fuchenzi said with a smile.

Yu Shuyang seemed to be thinking about something, and then asked, "Do we still need to queue here?"

"That's not necessary. They are attending the ordination ceremony in the outer hall, and we will go to the inner hall to hold the ordination ceremony. The two sides will not interfere with each other."

After Fu Chenzi finished speaking, he was about to lead Yu Shuyang and Li Taiping into the main hall. At this time, a Taoist boy came and whispered a few words to Fu Chenzi.

Yu Shuyang looked on from outside and saw that there were no statues of gods in the hall. There were only three tablets on the altar, which read "The Great Sage of Xiantian Daode", "Heaven" and "Earth" respectively.

There were twenty cushions on the floor of the main hall, with one person kneeling on each cushion. A Taoist priest combed the hair of each person one by one, and then awarded them a black Hunyuan scarf after finishing.

The ceremony was carried out very quickly and was over in just a few moments. After the scarf-conferring ceremony, the new citizens were led into the back hall, followed by another twenty citizens entering the hall.

"Fellow Daoist Yu, let's go in." Fu Chenzi said with a furry tiger face looking at the dazed Yu Shuyang.

Yu Shuyang nodded and followed. He and Li Taiping followed Fuchenzi into the main hall, and then entered the back hall from the side of the main hall.

At this time, in the back hall, there was a group of young Taoist priests wearing black Hunyuan scarves. Someone was guiding them to burn incense and pay homage to the ancestor. There was a statue of the Taoist ancestor on the altar.

The three demons did not stop and went straight up the stairs to the second floor, attracting the attention of the young Taoist priests below.

It's a completely different scene once you get to the second floor. This room is decorated with magic. It doesn't look big from the outside, but when you push the door open, you'll see a completely different world.

On the altar facing the door, there are three statues. The one in the middle is the Great Sage of Xiantian Daode, on the east side is the Patriarch of the Dao of All Heavens, and on the west side is the Patriarch of Teaching.

These three are the incarnations of the Taoist ancestors, representing Tao, Sutra and Master respectively. The establishment of these three statues also indicates the identity of the Taoist Alliance as the legitimate Taoist lineage.

At this time, on both sides of the hall were Taoists wearing monastic robes and immortal robes. The three methods, four cultivations, and ten sects of dharma were all present.

The lighting of incense and lights in the hall has already begun. This is in preparation for the subsequent transmission of the Dharma. One must respectfully offer incense from all directions and incense from one's own position to invite the spirit of the ancestor to respond.

Command water to purify the altar, wash away the dust and remove the filth, light the lamps to worship the truth, let the starlight shine to bless and forgive sins, then strike the Dharma drum and bell.

The ordination ceremony begins.

First, he passed on the teachings to Yu Shuyang.

The ordination master, the sutra master, and the scripture master came forward and sat down.
Needless to say, the scripture master is Yin Chenzi, the nine-tailed fox from Qingqiu; the degree master is a turtle demon wearing a black robe; the registration master is a snake demon wearing a black water robe.

The professions of these three masters are different. The ordination master is a teacher who teaches and guides people, and has the merit of clearing away confusion. The scripture master is needless to say, as he must teach the scriptures and impart the Dharma.

The registration master is responsible for registering and naturalizing, and is also considered a guarantor. If the scripture master does not teach or the ordination master does not understand, the registration master can be asked to mediate.

Even if there are conflicts between master and disciple or if they disobey their teacher in the future, the master will help to mediate, clean up the situation, or mediate.

There were also eight other ordination masters who first held a scarf-giving ceremony for Yu Shuyang. A witness master and a ritual master came forward, one helped comb his hair, and one gave him the Hunyuan scarf.

Next comes the tea offering, which is divided into the first offering, the second offering and the final offering.

Yu Shuyang followed the instructions and toasted to the master. He handed over the first cup and the turtle demon master placed it on the table behind him. This is "Si Cha", which means to consider it.

The second cup is passed to the master, who takes a sip, which is called passing the tea, indicating his agreement. The third cup is taken, and the master's middle finger and thumb are touched with the tea, which is called the faith tea.

After making these three offerings, one is officially accepted into the Taoist sect.

From the moment he was given the scarf, Yu Shuyang could feel a sense of being watched. That feeling was like light, seeing through him from the inside out.

Therefore, he was calm inside, not daring to think or ponder anything. He just followed the instructions beside him and moved whenever someone said something.

Moreover, among those who came to watch the ceremony on both sides, none of the robes and treasures were below the fifth rank in cultivation. In other words, these hundreds of Taoists were either human immortals or demon immortals.

The scene was indeed a bit too grand, with the spiritual response of the ancestors above, the sky full of stars and gods in the middle, and hundreds of immortal cultivators below.

After the tea offering is completed, the ordination ceremony will begin.

First are the Three Conducts and Nine Rules of Morality, also called the Moral Precepts. These are scripture precepts from the book Tao Te Ching, and were passed down by the founder himself.

Therefore, one must take this precept before entering the sect.

Then, there are the Ten Rules of Taoism. These are teachings that disciples of the Taoist Alliance need to abide by after joining the alliance. They are the rules and regulations agreed upon by the Taoists.

Finally, there is the first precept among the Three Great Precepts, which is the Dharma precept. It regulates walking, sitting, lying down, speaking, listening, thinking and reasoning. It is about using the precepts to regulate oneself and cultivate one's own dignity and virtue.

After the ordination is completed, the master will write a letter for him, which is the certificate of entry into the Tao. When he is listed as a true disciple, it will be replaced with the Taoist Golden Book.

Afterwards, the ordination master presented the robes, shoes and hats, and the scripture master presented the morning board, the ruler and the altar wood.

That's the end of it.

Next is his junior fellow apprentice Li Taiping. His ritual is similar to Yu Shuyang’s, the only difference being that the tiger demon Fuchenzi is a master of ordination, not a master of scriptures.

Moreover, Li Taiping became a disciple on the spot. That is, after offering tea three times, the master gave him a Dharma name, which was considered as his apprenticeship.

I was so exhausted from writing this that I vomited blood. I wrote seven or eight books.
