Inside a transatlantic passenger plane in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean on Earth.
The cockpit door opened, and a blond young man dressed in a blue bodysuit and wearing a cape with the American flag as his coat stepped out with a bright smile, followed by a brown-haired woman dressed as an ancient Roman warrior.
However, compared to the young man, the female warrior's expression was much more somber. Her gaze swept across the cabin, and a hint of reluctance flashed in her eyes as she looked at the passengers who were looking at her expectantly.
That's right, the scene before us is exactly the plane kidnapping incident that occurred in the second episode of "The Boys".
The blond youth draped in the national flag and the Roman female warrior are none other than Homelander and Queen Maeve, the most popular superhero duo on Earth today, the Seven.
At first glance, the outfits worn by these two people give a strong sense of déjà vu, like knock-off versions of Superman and Wonder Woman.
A closer look reveals an even worse situation; even the imitation seems somewhat forced, at best a crudely made, low-end substitute.
Leaving Queen Maeve aside, Homelander, who is comparable to Superman, is far inferior to the former in terms of both basic stats and various superpowers.
For example, the plane right under our feet lost control because Homelander accidentally damaged the flight system with his laser eye. It won't be long before it crashes into the Atlantic Ocean, and the passengers inside will likely perish.
In this situation, if it were Superman, he would have already flown outside, enveloped the entire plane with his biofield, and then used his superpowers to bring it safely back to land.
Homelander couldn't do that because he wasn't a true Kryptonian and didn't have a bio-force field. Even if he had enough strength, it would be difficult for him to lift the plane unscathed; in fact, he would most likely accelerate its destruction.
As for flying back and forth with passengers more than a hundred times... it's obvious that even if you exhaust yourself, you can't save everyone here.
Regardless of the final outcome, his invincible image in the public eye will be questioned, and his fan base is expected to plummet. This is something that Chinese people, who desperately crave recognition, will find unacceptable.
And so, after refusing Queen Maeve's request to save a little girl, Homelander took her out of the passenger plane.
Then, the two hovered in mid-air, watching the plane begin to fall towards the sea below due to the air currents, each with their own thoughts.
Perhaps because her conscience was not completely dead, Queen Maeve was still very saddened.
She despised her own incompetence and was disgusted by the selfishness and shamelessness of her compatriots, yet she was powerless to resist them, and her whole being visibly despondent.
As for the Homelanders, they were thinking about their next move.
He came here because he was tasked by Vought International to rescue the passengers on the plane before the U.S. military could, and to get the bill for Vought International to recruit superheroes into the Department of Defense passed, allowing superheroes to intervene in the war and further enhance the company's influence in the United States.
Unfortunately, plans don't always go as expected. He was unable to save the passengers, and to achieve Vought's objectives, he had to find another way.
For example, they could shift the blame to the US military, claiming that the superheroes weren't part of the military's command system and therefore couldn't know about the incident in time; otherwise, they could have prevented the disaster from happening.
Thinking this to himself, the corners of the Patriot's mouth were already slightly raised, as if he could already imagine the scene of his fan support rate soaring after the news was broadcast.
"Then...what is that?!"
Suddenly, Maeve's surprised cry rang in their ears. Homelander's heart skipped a beat. Following her gaze, they saw a dark shadow approaching from afar in the sky, creating a series of sonic booms as it sped toward the crashing passenger plane.
Homelander's eyes widened, and with his eyesight, he could clearly see the shape of the dark figure, which was a blonde girl who looked to be under twenty years old.
She wore a blue battle suit and a red cape, which was very similar to the clothing of her countrymen, but looked more harmonious and pleasing to the eye.
Thus, coupled with that rare ability to fly, it's practically a gender-swapped version of Homelander.
"What a generous gift! Where did this bitch come from?! Is this some new toy manufactured by the company?!"
Homelander's face was extremely grim. He strongly suspected that the company had used his genes to create a gender-swapped clone, otherwise how could the two have so many similarities? However, before Homelander could think further, an even more astonishing scene unfolded before him.
The blonde girl quickly caught up with the out-of-control plane, reached the top of it, and raised her hands in a lifting motion.
"Squeak-"
A chilling metallic creaking sound rang out, and the top of the aircraft's outer shell dented and deformed slightly under the blonde girl's hands, revealing the mechanical parts inside.
But then, this destructive trend stopped, and an invisible wave spread rapidly, reaching the entire surface of the aircraft in the blink of an eye, gradually restoring its balance.
As the cabin regained stability, the passengers, who had been in despair, felt a renewed desire to survive. Once they were certain that the plane was gently approaching the land, they embraced each other, whether they knew each other or were strangers, and cheered and cried.
However, they were too happy too soon.
Homelander had already shown his ruthless side on the plane, so how could he possibly let the people on this plane survive?
buzzing-
A crimson beam of light descended from the sky, as Homelander abandoned Queen Maeve and gave chase.
Interestingly, Azu did not immediately attack the blonde girl, but instead used his thermal vision to hit the side of the plane.
Then, just like welding, the blazing red light moved forward little by little, determined to burn all the passengers inside to ashes and destroy the evidence.
Just then, a whooshing sound came from above. Homelander maintained his heat vision output and looked up. A fair hand fell down, ignoring the heat vision attack, and pressed directly onto his face.
"So you call yourself Homelander, huh?!"
Accompanied by a teasing voice, red light seeped from between his fingers and spread in all directions.
The newcomer was completely unaware of this, and simply grabbed the man's head and punched him in the stomach.
With a bang, the force pierced through the homelander's defenses.
A tremendous pain swept through his body, instantly blocking the man's heat vision. Then, a chilling breath spewed from the man's mouth, quickly freezing him solid.
Of course, given the physical condition of a man like him, this minor injury wouldn't kill him, but it caused him immense panic and shock.
How is this possible? How could such a powerful being exist in this world? Aren't I the strongest? Why is this happening?!
"Someone like you dares to call yourself the strongest?"
Looking at Homelander, whose expression was contorted with extreme fear inside the ice, Wu Xian shook his head slightly, then leaned closer to the ice and whispered:
"If you survive, remember to pass on a message to the Walter Corporation for me..."
"The game of pretend is over. The era of the righteous lords is about to begin."
After saying that, Wu Xian loosened his grip, letting the Homelander brand ice sculpture fall straight down into the light circle that had appeared below.
