Tao Qiuyi heard a noise outside, and she immediately opened her eyes. Instead of getting up, she lay quietly and listened to the sounds outside.

The courtyard gate opened.

Someone walked into the courtyard from outside, their footsteps light yet steady.

It was...it was Wei Jingyuan's footsteps. Tao Qiuyi recognized Wei Jingyuan's footsteps. Knowing that he had returned, she got up, put on a coat, and went out the door.

Wei Jingyuan was walking towards the house next door when he saw Tao Qiuyi open the door. He stopped and looked at her.

Her long, black hair cascaded down her back, giving her a languid appearance. One was inside the doorway, the other outside, separated by a threshold. They gazed at each other without uttering a word.

A cold wind blew in from somewhere, and Wei Jingyuan walked up to her. He reached out and pulled her cotton coat tighter, frowning as he spoke first, "Why did you come out?"

Wei Jingyuan held Tao Qiuyi's water glass, not too tightly, afraid of breaking it. He didn't ask Tao Qiuyi how exactly she helped the three boys unleash their physical potential.
