Chapter 460: Long-lost intimacy

Chapter 460: Long-lost intimacy (please subscribe and read, monthly ticket recommendation)

Martin thinks the important thing is to kill those people on Earth who cooperate with Darkseid.

Although Americans are the most eager to attack the Justice League now, compared with the threat from Apokolips, those people in the White House and Capitol Hill are nothing.

Even though American officials are now collectively turning right and want to use force to solve the problem of the Justice League, they are unable to mobilize Americans into a state of war, and do not have sufficient manpower and material resources to arm and train so many people.

But Apocalypse is a world that exists for war, with massive fleets, demons transformed by mother boxes, and new gods who hold divine power...

These things may descend upon the Earth at any time, and any one of them can destroy a planet with a civilization like the Earth.

After combining all the factors, if there is no Justice League, the outcome for the Earth can be summed up in two words - it's over.

Apart from Apocalypse, the most deadly things are the traitors.

Those guys seemed to be aware of the capabilities of the Justice League. After attacking Martin and Martian Manhunter last time, they went into hiding without leaving any trace.

Not only did Martin not feel relieved by the other party's actions, but he became more and more vigilant.

"If these guys are not killed in advance, the Justice League will be useless even if they turn the Earth into a war fortress! Those rats can always cooperate with the outside world and lead the way for the people of Apokolips."

Martin stood outside the construction site of the new city, his feet on the soft yellow sand, and marveled that although Darkseid was good at fighting, his lackeys were really good at hiding.

"You should have made up your mind earlier and not let go of them once you've caught them, and eradicated those traitors sooner."

Diana, who received Martin's call, walked out of the space gate. She was wearing armor, with a long sword hanging at her waist, her soft hair tied together, and a crown woven of grass, wood and stone on her head. She was truly more heroic than a man.

But when the heroic female warrior appeared, the first thing she did was to open her arms and hug Martin, turning from a person as hard as steel into a woman as gentle as water.

Martin put his arms around Diana's waist and gently touched her red lips.

The two of them pressed their bodies tightly together without saying a word, and in the silence they both felt each other's longing for each other.

After a while, Diana finally said, "Did you really go into space during this time?"

"News spreads so quickly. I just came back not long ago. How come even you know about it?"

Martin looked at Diana in surprise, and then thought that she must be paying attention to him all the time to know about his affairs so quickly.

Thinking of this, he looked at Diana with even gentler eyes, put his head gently on Diana's shoulder, and even his spirit relaxed a lot.

"Now you know how good I am to you, right? Don't stay so far away from me in the future."

Diana leaned against Martin in the same position, whispering restrained but passionate words of intimacy.

Although their relationship had silently grown stronger after a short separation, they did not dwell on such intimacy and soon began talking about work.

"It's not that I don't want to deal with those traitors, and it's not that I can't, but the Justice League has bigger problems, so the traitors have to be put on the back burner."

Diana stretched out her right hand and gently brushed Martin's frown, understanding what he was worried about.

The Justice League seems to be thriving now, but that is partly because Martin Bruce and others are capable enough, and the rest of the people are just following this inertia without knowing why they are doing this.

From this perspective, it actually made sense that Martin chose to let the traitors go temporarily and not to track them down with all his strength, but to find tasks that seemed more political.

If the Justice League can complete these tasks, they will be able to unite as a collective in their specific work, and will also use their brains to think about where the Justice League should go in the future.

In this way, even if Martin and his group disappeared one day, the remaining members of the Justice League would be able to continue this cause instead of becoming headless flies, flying around and leaving only a mess on the ground.

“I think you’re too optimistic!”

Diana shook her body, huddled up, and hid in Martin's arms, but she clearly pointed out the problem: "For such things to be effective, the time required is usually measured in years. But the threat of Apocalypse is always around, and such construction work may be interrupted at any time."

"For many things, once they start, people will just follow inertia and move forward. If we don't let them do that, they will feel uncomfortable."

Martin pressed his face against Diana's, feeling the softness and smoothness, but was pushed away by Diana who was lying comfortably in Martin's arms.

"More importantly, I have to do this. There are too many Americans in the Justice League now. Although they have joined the Justice League and passed the assessment, their understanding of the world is only a few words on the Internet, plus neoliberalism in their minds. If I can't instill a different way of survival in them in advance, once Apokolips starts to attack, in the brutal war, I'm worried that they will go directly from advocating freedom to extreme conservatism."

Diana has seen more social forms than Clark and understands human society better, so she doesn't need Martin to explain too much.

"Ah, Americans! They know neither peace nor cruelty. You are right. If these children are not vaccinated in advance and are allowed to face war directly, half of them will probably go crazy. That is the real cruelty."

Martin's thoughts followed Diana's voice and he thought of Clark.

His hesitation today is a reflection of the fact that those Americans have lost the ability to face reality.

It is precisely because we do not understand reality that we are afraid. Even if we encounter an opportunity to change, we will hesitate.

As for Hal, it was a different case. He was pulled directly into the universe, which was equivalent to being reborn. Coupled with the training of the Green Lantern Corps, he was able to get rid of the various ideologies he had developed since childhood.

"So, I want the Amazons and the Undersea People to each send a force here, so that the people of the Justice League can establish a new worldview, and at the same time reveal the existence of these two races to humans."

Martin's eyes were slightly empty as he looked into the distance, as if he had already seen the future.

"The appearance of the Amazons and the Undersea People can also relieve Bruce's pressure. During this period, he has been traveling all over the world. Even a strong man can hardly bear such pressure!"

"It's all his own fault. There are so many ways to strengthen the body, but he still insists on his so-called principles. Who can he blame?"

Diana complained that Bruce always had some strange and stubborn habits.

In the eyes of others, Bruce's habits are too stubborn and strange, and there is no need to stick to them, but he always insists on them inexplicably.

"He knows what's going on, and it won't affect the work of the Justice League. As for his personal issues, I can't control them!"

Martin stuck out his tongue, expressing his disinterest in Bruce's personal life.

"Is your army ready? I asked Ron to form some combat teams for the Justice League, specifically to deal with the traitors on Earth and some enemies who actively use force to attack."

Diana Martin left the embrace of the woman, smiling and confidently saying, "My army has been fully prepared and is now undergoing special training to deal with the army of Apocalypse. I can always provide as many people as you need." "You don't need too many. The most important thing is to have a flexible mind and be able to accept the state of human society!"

Martin was not worried about the Amazons' martial arts. Anyone who could join Diana's Legion was definitely not an ordinary Amazon.

Diana held her chin with one hand and said thoughtfully, "According to your request, I want to transfer a group of officers here. Currently, my legion is in training and is in urgent need of officers. But the guards around my mother are also being reorganized, so some people can be transferred."

"Let them come with the supporting troops! There's no need to rush, or there will be communication problems."

Martin had other plans for these combat teams, and now was not the time for them to be exposed.

Every person has his or her own personality, and every organization also has its own image!

The Justice League has always been "only hitting evil hard", which is why it has gained so much support. If it attacks rashly, it may cause uncontrollable consequences.

"Those traitors have all gone into hiding recently. If you wait for them to attack, it's probably impossible."

Diana saw through Martin's plan at a glance, and he had to come at it from the perspective of the Justice League instead of just thinking about how to fight.

"No matter how cunning the beasts are, they cannot control their desire to eat meat. The identities of those traitors on Earth are also unusual. Are they really willing to be obedient dogs for Darkseid? I don't think so!"

Martin knows these villains on Earth, they are a bunch of bastards who want it all.

They demand that everyone on earth, no matter how big or small, no matter what abilities they have, must obey their order, let the world develop according to their ideas, and become de facto kings.

But this group of people does not have the real ability to subdue all the people on Earth, so they use outside forces to cause trouble.

When alien forces like Apocalypse attack, they transform themselves into protectors of the earthlings.

But those who know these bastards will never forget that they were the ones who brought Apocalypse to the planet.

"What if they really hold back?"

Diana helps Martin fill in the gaps in these plans from the perspective of a military adviser.

"That's even better. If the leaders are hiding their heads and refusing to show their tails, then it's our combat team's turn to go in and cut off their claws bit by bit. By then, even if the leaders of those traitors continue to be loyal to Darkseid, they can only do so on the battlefield."

Martin clenched his fist and swung it hard, but Diana did not object.

As a person who is proficient in military affairs, Diana knows that there is no single answer in this world. In terms of probability, the success rate of each plan before the war is actually equal, it all depends on how the commander chooses.

So, Martin made up his mind, and Diana said nothing more.

"I have dealt with all the matters at hand. Now only Arthur is left. As long as he can gain a foothold on the seabed, we will track down the traces of those traitors!"

"Are we the only two? You're just going to walk away from something as big as building a whole new city?"

Of course Diana wanted to live alone with Martin, but she also felt that it was irresponsible to abandon the new city like this.

"I have written down all my thoughts about the new city. I have said everything I need to say. Clark is in charge here now. I don't have anything to do, so it doesn't matter if I leave."

Martin had no intention of taking control of the new city; it was just a connection point.

While Clark was busy building a new city, Barry was leading the Justice League's technicians to design and build a watchtower and prepare a cosmic defense line.

"Okay, you're the leader, I'll listen to you!"

Diana smiled with such otherworldly beauty that even the desert seemed to have welcomed spring.

Martin looked at Diana and kissed her again, then took out the mother box and opened the sonic boom channel to directly connect to the seabed.

"and many more!"

When Martin saw the space tunnel, he was about to walk straight in, but Diana stopped him and took out a blue crystal necklace and put it around his neck.

"This seems to be the wrong way around. I should be the one putting the necklace on you. It's my negligence. I finally went on a trip around the universe, I should bring you some local specialties!"

Martin looked at the necklace around his neck and recognized it as a magical item.

Diana rolled her eyes at him and said unhappily, "I am such a superficial woman. This necklace was given to my mother by Poseidon. It can ensure that you can move freely in the sea."

Diana heard that Martin was just an ordinary person today, so before coming, she specially got the necklace from the warehouse in Paradise Island.

"I am so moved that I can't express it in words. Otherwise, please let me marry you!"

Diana grabbed Martin's collar, kissed him hard, and said domineeringly: "You have been mine for a long time. It's too insincere to use this thing to compensate me!"

"Then I will give you my next life, so that I can always be with my dear Diana!"

The sweet words came out of Martin's mouth as if they were free.

Diana was happy, but she still stretched out her hand and pushed Martin towards the sonic boom tunnel: "Just stop talking nonsense, let's go! Stay with me for the rest of the day before we talk about anything else."

Martin and Diana walked into the sonic boom tunnel while joking and playing. As soon as they walked out, the crashing sea water rushed over with a gravity greater than that of an entire mountain range.

Diana immediately stood in front of Martin. The necklace on Martin's neck flashed, and the fierce sea water instantly became gentle and slid past him.

When the sea water dispersed, Martin closed the sonic explosion channel, and then waves of terrifying heat came from the sea water that came into contact with him.

"It seems that the situation here Arthur is not as good as we expected!"

Martin waved his hands, swam in the sea like a fish, and looked around side by side with Diana.

They saw an erupting submarine volcano, surrounded by a large number of crustacean Haitians who seemed to want to extinguish the volcano.
