Chapter 31 Dangers from the Magical World (Please read on, thank you)

Martin originally wanted to send the oracle to Wayne Tower, but the target there was no smaller than Wayne Manor.

Fortunately, Alfred had quickly arranged a new safe house. He took off his bat armor and drove a truck to a garden house in the suburbs.

"It's safe around here!"

Martin checked the area around the house. Although the city of Gotham was in chaos, the suburbs were quite peaceful.

"Maybe it's because there's nothing to gain here. I hope the Oracle and I won't destroy the peace here!"

He muttered something under his breath, parked the truck containing the Batmobile and network equipment in the underground garage, and then pushed Oracle into the safe house.

Martin nodded and sighed.

Martin didn't persuade her, but pushed her to the dining table: "Oracle, you've been busy all day, it's time to eat something!"

Barbara watched Martin staggering. Although she was worried, she did not go forward to cause trouble. She just asked worriedly, "What if an enemy attacks while you are asleep?"

Martin fell headfirst onto the sofa, raised his hands and said, "So I always try to solve the problem before nightfall. However, if the enemy really attacks, just wake me up, although I have never done that."

His voice became quieter and quieter, and when Barbara pushed the wheelchair closer to Martin, she saw that he was asleep with a bubble on his nose.

Barbara stared at Martin for a while, finished her dinner, and went into the bedroom on the first floor.

Martin found himself in darkness, with countless rustling sounds ringing in his ears, chaotic but gathered into a weak and pitiful cry for help.

Even though he couldn't see, the rustling sound in his ears was like the creepy sound made by countless insects gathering together. Martin firmly made the sound with his spirit.

The weak and pitiful cry for help sounded again: "We are the ones who should leave, we are the ones who are bound in form.

Our souls have been controlled by evil for decades and hundreds of years. We have been crying for help, but only you can hear our voices.

Save us, wizard!"

"No one can save you!"

A louder sound broke through the faint cries for help, turning them into rustling fragments again, scattered in the darkness, unable to be sensed anymore.

The darkness that was supposed to be invisible suddenly turned into a big mouth that could swallow everything, and rushed towards Martin: "Unknown wizard, weak human, you have entered a place you should not enter." Martin was shocked, but he was as steady as a rock. Facing the invisible thing, he seemed to have touched something and shook it hard to the ground.

"Back off, evil! This land of the human world does not belong to you!"

The silver-white light lit up, like countless holy swords, piercing through the darkness that wanted to devour people.

Martin opened his eyes. In his hand was a yew cane. The palm-like tip of the cane emitted bright moonlight like a full moon, filling the entire room like flowing water.

"Martin, what happened?"

Barbara rushed out of the room in a wheelchair. Illuminated by the moonlight, the tension in her heart instantly disappeared, and the muzzle of the pistol in her hand unconsciously relaxed.

She shielded her eyes with her hands and saw a shadow in a gray robe in the soft moonlight.

Although Barbara only saw the back of the shadow, she still shouted with conviction: "Martin, Martin!"

Martin, who was scanning the surroundings with a sharp gaze like an eagle, heard the girl's cry and gently shook his yew cane. The moonlight that filled the entire room instantly turned into light spots and dissipated into the air.

Barbara quickly came to Martin and asked softly, "What happened?"

"As you can see!" Martin took off his pointed wizard hat and explained, "Today I became a wizard, and just now I received a call for help and was attacked at the same time."

"A wizard?" Barbara widened her eyes, not knowing what to say.

Martin flipped through his gray robe and saw the long sword hanging at his waist, herbs in a cloth bag, a parchment book, and several bottles of potions.

"Yes, I used to deal with magic a lot, it was quite interesting."

As he was talking, he noticed that Barbara looked confused, and asked curiously: "Magic exists in this world. Didn't Batman mention it to you?"

The famous wizard Gwani John Zatara is a good friend of Thomas Wayne. Batman once learned skills from Gwani during his ten years of wandering. Although his ambition was not in magic, he still learned a few tricks.

Barbara shook her head, "No, Bruce never told us that."

Martin did not continue the topic: "Anyway, I have to find out who is asking me for help and who is attacking me."
