Chapter 707 How do you learn so fast? Visit Tiananmen Square
"Take your time and don't turn the pages so quickly. I'm not in a hurry to take it away."
Lao Fan had just poured himself a cup of tea when he saw that Fang Yan had turned to the end of the "Twelve Needles of the Heavenly Star" that he had recorded, so he couldn't help but remind him.
Fangyan put down the book and said:
"finish watching."
"Have you finished reading it?" Old Fan was stunned, then showed a puzzled look.
Fang Yan said to Lao Fan:
"The contents inside are similar to the Meridian Flowing System."
“So it seems to be relatively understandable.”
The "Ziwu" in Ziwu Liuzhu represents time, and "Liuzhu" refers to the flow and perfusion of Qi and blood in the meridians.
This theory holds that the body's Qi and blood circulate in the meridians according to a certain time pattern. Different times correspond to times when different meridians and organs are full of Qi and blood, just like the regularity of the rise and fall of the tides.
By grasping these rules, specific acupoints are selected at specific times for acupuncture and other treatments, in order to achieve the purpose of adjusting Qi and blood, balancing Yin and Yang, and treating diseases.
This set of theories and dialects is not often used in acupuncture, but it is often used in emergency treatment. For example, during the first emergency treatment at Tong Ren Tang, he used the twelve meridians to run to the lung meridian, and he completely saved the patient. (See Chapter 220)
The requirements for the Twelve Needles of the Heavenly Star are higher in this regard.
It's not just about the time, but also some knowledge in the "Beidou Jing".
At that time, Fangyan believed that the essence of the Twelve Tianxing Needles was still in the twelve acupuncture points. All of the twelve acupuncture points were located on the limbs, away from the vital organs, and were suitable for emergency treatment and self-study.
However, like Cheng's Sancai Acupuncture, it is a half-set acupuncture method.
Of course, this is not accurate. Cheng's Three Elements Acupuncture was not perfected by Cheng Lao, and the "Twelve Heavenly Star Needles" did not pass on the "True Secret of the Heavenly Gang".
So for today’s dialects, this half set of acupuncture techniques is actually not that attractive.
Of course, there are many things worth learning from.
This allowed Fangyan to come up with some of his own ideas about acupuncture.
If he collected more acupuncture techniques, he might be able to create his own set of "Fang's acupuncture techniques".
"Wait...wait..." Lao Fan put down the teacup in his hand and asked Fang Yan:
"You mean, you can understand this book?"
Fangyan nodded:
"I understand. As long as you know acupuncture, a lot of things are repeated. You only need to remember some of the key points. I'm not a beginner. Plus, you don't have any medical records here. The amount of information that is unfamiliar to me is only a few pages. It's very easy to remember."
After speaking in dialect, he returned the booklet to Lao Fan.
Fan Changting's eyes widened as he looked at the booklet handed back to him in disbelief. After receiving it, he asked:
"Then let me test you?"
Dialect nod:
"Okay, take the test!"
Lao Fan randomly turned a page and said to Fang Yan:
"What is Lieque's rhyme?"
Fangyan responded without hesitation:
"Lieque is located on the upper side of the wrist, with the lower fingers crossed. It is good for treating hemiplegia, paralysis and numbness of the whole body, frequent phlegm and saliva accumulation, and lockjaw. If you can understand the tonification and drainage, you can do it as soon as you can. Use three points of acupuncture and five points of moxibustion."
Lao Fan swallowed and felt his hair stand on end.
He asked again in dialect:
"What is the taboo on the night of the new moon?"
The dialect said:
"Huantiao and Yanglingquan, these two acupoints cannot be punctured."
Lao Fan asked:
"What's the reason?"
The dialect said:
"When the yin energy is at its peak, stimulating the Shaoyang meridian points can easily lead to liver and gallbladder disorders."
"Only when the moon is dark will you not need to use acupuncture on Shaoyang. Are you still testing me?"
Lao Fan discovered that he remembered all the dialects. He felt numb all over. Wasn't it too fast to remember them?
After thinking for a while, he decided to embarrass Fang Yan, so he asked again:
"What are the taboos for acupuncture in patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases?"
"Cardiovascular patients? This is in the original text?" Fangyan frowned.
Lao Fan said to the dialect:
"Then don't worry about it. Don't you understand? Go ahead and tell me."
Fangyan had no choice but to say:
"It is not advisable to pierce the Tongli acupoint at noon, because the heart fire is strong at noon, and stimulating the Tongli acupoint can easily induce palpitations or a sudden increase in blood pressure."
Seeing that the dialect could not be tested even with such difficulty, Lao Fan began to scratch his head.
"Then you should recite the "Tai Shang Xuan Ling Bei Dou Ben Ming Yan Sheng Zhen Jing", which is also related to the Tian Gang in the book."
"..." Fangyan was speechless. This guy Old Fan started to cheat directly.
He said that this is actually the "Beidou Sutra", which is an important Taoist classic included in the "Orthodox Taoist Canon". It is one of the "Five Dipper Sutras" and is also a must-read scripture in the Taoist ritual of "Following the Stars and Worshiping Tai Sui".
Although Fangyan knew about this thing, he had never seen it.
"Well, you win, I didn't see it."
Fangyan just admitted defeat, since he had already learned Lao Fan's Twelve Needles of the Heavenly Star.
Fan Changting breathed a sigh of relief when he heard Fangyan admit defeat.
But then I thought about myself and realized that this was just the Ah Q spirit at work.
People have basically learned what they need to learn.
Lao Fan said to the dialect:
"With a room full of books like yours, you can learn everything quickly...you can apply what you have learned to other places."
He attributed Fangyan's ability to quickly understand the needlework book in his hand to the fact that he had read a lot of books.
If I had a room full of books on dialects, maybe everything I saw would seem familiar to me.
Fang Yan said to him:
"If you like, you can come and see it."
"Really?" Old Fan was surprised. This was the ancient book given to him by Master Fangyan. It was equivalent to the sect's collection. How could he, an outsider, read it?
Fang Yan said to him:
"There aren't so many taboos, just watch it as you like."
"If you finish reading what I have here, there will be a batch of lost ancient books to be printed after school starts. Anyway, there will be something for you to read."
After hearing this, Lao Fan became interested. He walked to the dialect bookshelf and started to select carefully.
I picked up a book and took it out. I looked at it:
"Xing Meng Zhai's Key Points for Bone Correction"
"Are there any books from the Japanese?" Old Fan asked in Fangyan.
Fangyan took a look and explained:
"This man is the master of bonesetters in Nagasaki. His original name was Yoshiwara Motodo, with the courtesy name Longxian and the pseudonym Xingmengsai. He was born a ronin samurai and mainly engaged in the massage industry. He wrote this book in 1800." Lao Fan opened his mouth and was completely dumbfounded.
It took him a long time to recover and he said to Fang Yan:
"No, I just picked up a random book, and you know it so clearly? Have you read all the books here?"
Dialect waving hands:
"You overestimate me. You haven't really finished reading it. You just happened to get the ones I've read."
"Speaking of which, this book has a great connection with the "Yuxiu Yifang Leiju"..."
Lao Fan took out another book and asked:
"What about this one?"
Fangyan took a look and realized that this was the "Tong Zhenzi's Wang Shuhe Pulse Secrets" that Lao Zhou had given him not long ago.
"This book was written by Liu Yuanbin during the reign of Emperor Zhenzong of Song Dynasty. When Emperor Zhenzong was the crown prince, he summoned him to the palace to discuss medicine with him. He and Liu Yuanbin had a good affinity, so he was given the title of 'Tong Zhenzi' and transferred to the Imperial Medical Bureau. He was eventually promoted to Palace Secretary. It contains supplementary notes to Wang Shuhe's Pulse Secrets written by Wang Shuhe of Jin Dynasty. It is the mainstream of the development of pulse science during the Song, Jin and Yuan Dynasties. It contains many new insights. However, I suggest that you don't read it after reading Wang Shuhe's Pulse Secrets. The main reason is that it should be paired with another book. I don't have it here. That book is in the Archives and Mausoleums Department of the Imperial Household Agency of Japan."
"..." Fan Changting was speechless, and suddenly felt that Xiao Peng's decadent attitude just now was not unreasonable.
Pick up any book and you will find that they know all the dialects and can speak them coherently. This really undermines one's self-confidence.
"Forget it! What's the point of reading during the New Year?" Old Fan put the book back.
After hearing this, Fang Yan glanced at his watch and said with a smile:
"How about going out for a walk around the capital?"
When Lao Fan heard Fangyan's words, he immediately said:
"Oh, yes, you have a car, why don't we go to the Badaling Great Wall together?"
Fangyan bowed to Lao Fan:
"Brother, please forgive me. I will ride my bike there. Even if the road is clear, it will take three or four hours. The round trip will take five or six hours. If I start now, I probably won't get there until dark."
Lao Fan was a little confused:
"Ah? So far? How do you usually get there?"
Fangyan responded:
"I haven't been to the Great Wall since I came back."
Lao Fan frowned slightly and asked tentatively:
"Then...how about we go to Tiananmen Square?"
The dialect said:
"no problem!"
It's only three kilometers from here to Tiananmen Square, so you can walk there, not to mention driving.
"Let's go!" Old Fan was also a big-hearted man. He immediately recovered from the blow he had just received from the dialect and happily went to see Tiananmen Square.
When I heard the dialect, I wanted to take Lao Fan and Xiao Peng to see Tiananmen Square.
The other young men in the house who had nothing to do immediately responded and expressed their desire to go along.
Even Lao Hu is no exception.
When we went down to see the team at Tiananmen Square, the number of people suddenly increased from three to nine.
Fangyan, Lao Fan, Xiao Peng, Lao Hu, Lao Hu's assistant, Li Chuanwu, little brother, eldest brother-in-law, and little Zhao Zhengyi.
Only Cui Changshou, Fang Zhenhua and Zhu Guangnan were left at home to be responsible for security work.
The rest were all women playing mahjong and chatting.
However, before leaving, brother-in-law Zhao Yuanchao hesitated for a moment and decided to stay.
After all, the house will be busy later, and there needs to be a strong man at home to help.
Fangyan thought about it and agreed, then set off with a group of people.
Because there are so many people, everyone’s transportation options now are either to take the bus or to walk.
It didn't matter anyway, and everyone just wanted to feel the atmosphere of the Spring Festival, so they chose to walk.
On the road, you can see some residents chatting with neighbors in the alleys or courtyards.
The children were playing on the street and setting off small firecrackers.
Running here and there, Lao Fan and Xiao Peng came here for the first time, listening to the Beijing dialect around them and feeling the New Year atmosphere which was completely different from that in their hometown.
Lao Hu, a southerner, was also looking around with curiosity. He rarely went out on the streets before.
Now that I have bodyguards and Fangyan, I feel safer with such a master around me.
After walking for less than forty minutes, everyone arrived at their destination.
As an important national symbol and public place, it attracts a large number of tourists and citizens.
From afar, you can see that the Jinshui Bridge is crowded with people.
Young men in green military uniforms carried a banner that read "Happy Spring Festival", and the red silk was snapping in the north wind.
An older woman was there, shouting at the top of her voice: "Look after your own children, don't squeeze their shoes off!"
There are people selling candied haws on the roadside.
Fangyan bought a string of candied haws for Zhao Zhengyi, picked up the child, and then everyone joined the crowd and began to tour the square.
Except for the city wall, all other places are open.
I walked around the square, went to the Huabiao, and then went to the monument.
On the road, you can also meet many people dressed like cadres and speaking with foreign accents.
After the tour, Lao Fan, Xiao Peng and Lao Hu were quite satisfied.
It was freezing cold, with a strong wind. Lao Fan and Xiao Peng's clothes were inadequate and they were sniffling from the cold.
It is mainly caused by the lack of wind protection. It feels fine at home, but it is very uncomfortable when the cold wind blows.
When Fangyan saw that it was getting late, he asked everyone to go back.
As a result, Fangyan was stopped by someone not long after he walked out of the crowd.
"Instructor Fang?"
Fangyan turned around and saw that it was the police officer on duty nearby.
So Fangyan quickly greeted them.
But this won't be possible for Lao Fan and others who don't know the situation to deal with it.
After Fangyan finished greeting, Lao Fan asked:
"No, they called you... Instructor Fang?"
