Tokyo: Rabbit Police and Her Evil Partner

Chapter 112 I'm Not an Idiot

Chapter 112 I'm Not an Idiot

Damn it, is Mom trying to make things difficult for me? Or is Mom angry about the advance of pocket money?
Gen Yuzi was well aware that her mother opposed her becoming a police officer. The two had a big fight over this and had a year-long cold war, which is still ongoing.

Although Minako would occasionally send sincere letters to Kujo Yui, the latter never responded, so it was a one-sided cold war. Kujo Yui would not treat Minako well until she gave in, apologized, and quit her job as a police officer.

Hearing this, Yuan Yuzi also started to get angry. She pouted her lips and raised her arms to continue saluting.

The office fell silent again.

The low pressure lasted for nearly half an hour. Kujo Yui didn't say anything. She sat upright on the bench with unfocused eyes and no one knew what she was thinking. Yuan Yuzi also refused to say anything. When they were working, they were superiors and subordinates. How could she speak if her superior didn't speak?
Just when Yuan Yuzi was about to give up due to the pain, Kujo Yui sighed and said, "Let it go."

"Yes!" Yuan Yuzi grinned, put his hand down and pressed it against the crotch of his trousers.

"There's nothing for you to do here, go upstairs and have a rest." said Kujo Wei.

Yuan Yuzi was still stubborn: "My job tonight is to receive the superior..."

"This is an order." Kujo Yui interrupted in a tone that was neither light nor heavy, with an air of authority that brooked no room for argument.

"Yes!"

Gen Yuzi could only trot up the stairs. When she turned the corner of the corridor, she found that Senior Kazama and the director were sitting on the stairs.

The latter made a 'hush' gesture to her and motioned her to sit on the next step.

Yuan Yuzi looked confused, not knowing what they were doing, but she still did as they asked, brushed off the dust on the steps, and sat down obediently.

"Do you have a bad relationship with your mother?" Director Morimu asked in a whisper.

Gen Yuzi explained the quarrel in a low voice, and Director Moriki said "eh" in a long tone after listening. She and Kazama Takusai looked at each other, and then continued: "How about you try to apologize to your mother? Or give in or something..."

It would be better if we could ask Chief Kujo to approve more funding. The station chief is so poor that he can barely make ends meet.

Yuan Yuzi shook her head. She understood her mother. "It's useless. Unless I resign, nothing I say will work."

"Have you tried to communicate with her?"

Director Moriki uttered a classic line from a Japanese drama: "After all, if your feelings are not spoken sincerely, they cannot be conveyed."

Gen Yuzi hesitated. She thought carefully and realized that she had been impatient ever since she was opposed by her mother.

Although her mother seemed to be indifferent, someone had to give in when two people were arguing, right? As a daughter, she should be considerate of her mother who worked hard to take care of the family.

Thinking of this, Yuan Yuzi stood up and prepared to go downstairs to have a long talk with her mother, and talk about her glorious deeds after becoming a patrolman. Maybe after hearing this, her mother will change her mind and stop insisting that she resign... I don't know if her mother received those letters.

Kazama Takusai held her shoulders, motioned for her to sit back down, and said softly, "Chief Kujo is not here to see you."

"Uh?"

Yuan Yuzi was stunned, thinking, am I being too sentimental? Mom-chan is here to work! But then again, since she is here to inspect, why doesn't she let Director Moriki report on the security situation in the neighborhood?
She turned around and saw Director Moriki smiling like an auntie for some unknown reason.

"What do you mean?" Yuan Yuzi didn't understand. She felt that the current situation seemed a bit complicated.

Normally, Mama-chan is not so serious, and she never wears formal clothes. She speaks very gently in private - Mama-chan is neither here to work nor to see her, so what is she here for?

Director Moriki nudged Kazama Takusai with his elbow and asked him to send a pager to ask where Fushimi Shika was. The latter typed rapidly with his thumbs, asking Fushimi Shika to ignore that idiot Watanabe Shun and return to the junban as soon as possible.

"I'm not stupid." The pager charges by word count, and typing is awkward. Fushimi Shika was not used to it and thought the operator was a rip-off, so he didn't buy it. In other words, Kazama Takusai was sending a pager to Watanabe Shun, asking him to relay the message to Fushimi Shika.

"What are they hesitating about?" Senmu Yalan was almost gritting her teeth.

Takusai Kazama also felt that something was not right. It had been such a long time since then. Even running around the Sugamo area three times would be more than enough... Thinking back to when Watanabe Shun came back in the morning and said he would invite them to a high-end izakaya, Takusai Kazama immediately had a bad guess.

He conveyed Morimu Yalan's order, requiring the two to return to the handover within ten minutes, otherwise their wages would be deducted.

Watanabe Shun still said the same thing: "On the way, almost there"

So, where exactly is it?
Across the street from the station intersection, in the alley leading to the apartment, Fushimi Kakashi and Watanabe Shun were squatting on the ground with their buttocks sticking out, their hands in the snow, remaining in this position without moving.

The pager in his pocket was beeping. Watanabe Shun pulled his right hand out of the snow with trembling hands, took out the pager and looked at it. He said uneasily: "The boss is urging us again... Is this really useful?"

"It really works, believe me."

Fushimi Shika's face was not looking good either. There was a thermos and a basin of water at his feet. Every hour, they would pour a basin of hot water, pull their hands out of the snow, and soak them in the hot water.

Watanabe Shun looked at his watch and it was exactly time. Both of his hands were numb and he could not feel anything. He could only tuck his hands under his armpits and hold them for a while before he tremblingly poured a basin of hot water.

Then, Watanabe Shun gritted his teeth and put his hand in. He felt a tingling sensation in his ten fingers and shouted excitedly, "It's done! I did it!"

His hands were cracked from the cold, and after being soaked in boiling water, they turned red like chilblains. Fushimi Shika saw this and put his hands in the basin as well, and soon they were covered with chilblains.

The two looked at each other and smiled with satisfaction.

"Are you ready?" asked Fushimi Shika.

"I'm ready. Come on!" Watanabe Shun stood up, took a deep breath, and turned his face to the side: "Don't hit my eyes!"

Fushimi Shika swung his fist and hit Watanabe Shun's face hard. He really didn't hold back with this punch, and the latter fell to the ground, almost fainting, and it took him a long time to recover.

"Are you serious, you guy?" Watanabe Shun covered his face and felt that his molars were a little loose.

"You have to do the whole act." said Fushimi Shika.

"Okay, it's my turn now. Are you ready?" Watanabe Shun was holding back his anger and was ready to beat him back hard.

"I'll forget it," Fushimi Shika said as he sat on the ground, "I'll just roll on the ground twice."

"What? That's not what you said just now!" Watanabe Shun was furious.

"You are the only one injured, doesn't that make you look even more heroic?" Fushimi said as he rolled in the snow. After a while, he stood up, brushed off the snow on his body, and straightened his clothes, looking very embarrassed.

"That makes some sense..." Watanabe Shun nodded, but he still felt a little unhappy.

"Okay, now is not the time to worry about this. You haven't forgotten your lines, right?"

Fushimi Shika made sure that Watanabe Shun was fine, so he patted him on the shoulder, threw the thermos and basin into the trash can on the street, and the two walked towards the intersection together.

Bang, Watanabe Shun took the lead and broke open the door of the intersection, and Fushimi Shika followed closely behind, holding his shoulders. The two of them seemed like brothers in distress and staggered into the office.

"Captain, we were attacked while on patrol!!"
