Chapter 8 Happy Hogan
It’s impossible to say that my feelings weren’t complicated when I first met the characters in the original novel. In a sense, Happy was the most familiar stranger to Su Ze.

Following Happy into Stark Industries, Suze did not focus on observing the surrounding situation. Instead, most of his attention was on Happy.

Suze had a pretty good first impression of Happy.

Although there are quite a few differences from what I remember, this is quite normal.

In the movie, Happy is mostly a comedy supporting role. Whether facing Tony Stark, Spider-Man or other heroes, he is basically an assistant, and his tone and attitude are also at a disadvantage.

However, he has now become a member of the leadership of Stark Industries. When facing subordinates or outsiders, he still exudes the temperament of a workplace elite, giving people a sense of being down-to-earth and capable.

"The office is over here."

Happy led Su Ze into a corridor. At the end of the corridor was a private office that looked very high-end.

After opening the door, a spacious and bright hall appeared in Su Ze's sight.

"This is what I should do. I have paid a lot to get this position, and I can't let Tony down." Happy waved his hand, then walked to his desk and said to Su Ze. "Sit down."

Without any hesitation, Su Ze pulled out a chair and sat down face to face with Happy across the desk.

"Since you are the financial director, don't you need to maintain order now that such a big thing has happened? The financial losses caused by this incident are estimated to be considerable."

Hearing this, the smile on Happy's face instantly disappeared, and turned into a sad expression. "I want to, but it's not that easy. You saw when you came in just now, those employees were in a state of emotional collapse."

Su Ze didn't say much about this. After all, as Happy said, he had seen the chaos in Stark Industries and even outside.

Then, Happy continued.

From the expression on Happy's face, Su Ze already knew what the other party wanted to ask.

"You want to know what Tony Stark is doing now, right?"

"If it doesn't involve confidentiality."

Happy nodded slightly without blinking. Su Ze could clearly see the red bloodshot in his pupils. From this, it can be seen that Happy's psychological pressure has not decreased much since Tony disappeared.

After hesitating for a moment, Su Ze shook his head slightly.

"I'm sorry, I don't know much more than you do. After all, Tony Stark has boarded that alien spaceship, and we can't observe his current situation."

"Is that so?" Happy didn't react much after hearing this. He should have expected Su Ze's answer. "But I believe Tony Stark should be fine." Seeing that Happy's face was a little pale, Su Ze still spoke to comfort him.

Hearing this, Happy looked at Suze with some confusion, not understanding why this SHIELD agent would trust Tony Stark so much.

"He is Iron Man, right? He has experienced the greatest dangers." Su Ze said seriously.

Hearing this, Happy's gloomy face relaxed a little, and he forced a smile and nodded honestly. "Yes, he is Iron Man, Tony Stark, nothing can defeat him."

That being said, Happy was prepared for the worst.

After all, it was an alien spaceship. He still remembered how devastating the consequences were the last time New York was invaded by aliens.

That time, Tony Stark almost couldn't come back.

And this time.
"Do you think the situation outside has anything to do with Tony and the Avengers?" After a moment's silence, Happy asked meaningfully.

Su Ze knew that Happy was asking about the Shuttering Crisis that had already occurred. After thinking for a moment, he organized his words and answered.

"As far as I know, the captain and his men are fighting an alien fleet in Wakanda. The identity of the enemy is still unknown, but judging from the current situation, there may have been an accident on their side."

Happy leaned his head slightly and sighed. "Although I'm not sure about your rules, I know this is probably not allowed to be made public. Thank you for telling me so much, Kaia."

"Like you, I don't want to see this situation, but we are powerless to change it, so all we can do now is to finish the work at hand."

As soon as Su Ze finished speaking, there was a slight vibration sound suddenly coming from outside. It was the sonic boom caused by an airplane passing through the sky.

Hearing this sound, both of them understood that the transport plane arranged by SHIELD had arrived.

Happy stood up first and held out his hand.

"You are right. We should complete our respective jobs. This is what we should do and it is our responsibility."

Su Ze also stood up and raised his hand to shake hands with Happy.

However, he is far from being as relaxed as he looks on the surface. After hearing the noise of the plane, his eyes became visibly tense.

Fortunately, Happy had no time to pay attention to this now. He took out a card from the table and handed it to Su Ze.

"You are very different from those agents. This is my business card. If you need my help, you can call me anytime. I will do my best to help you."

"Thank you."

Su Ze carefully took Happy's business card and put it in his inner pocket.

This was the first "friend" he made in this world, or his first connection.

If the road to SHIELD is blocked, Happy may be the only one who can help him.
