Harry returns from Hogwarts Legacy
Chapter 7 I Think He Looks Like Lily
Chapter 7 I Think He Looks Like Lily
After leaving Gringotts, Hagrid offered to take Harry to buy the items on the list attached to the acceptance letter.
When passing by a dessert shop, Hagrid bought two ice creams and gave Harry the one with raspberry chocolate sauce. The two of them ate while walking towards Madam Malkin's robe shop.
Madam Malkin was a plump, kindly witch with a warm smile. When she saw Harry, she warmly invited him into the store.
Harry quickly finished his ice cream and followed Madam Malkin into the shop.
"My dear, you are here to buy Hogwarts uniforms, right? To be honest, we have many styles here, and we can also customize clothes according to your needs." Madam Malkin introduced Harry: "Oh, by the way, there is a little witch trying on clothes inside. I think you two should be able to chat well."
Harry followed the direction Madam Malkin pointed and saw a little girl with disheveled hair standing on a stool while a witch pinned up her robe.
Madam Malkin asked Harry to stand next to the little girl. Harry walked over and happened to see the little girl turn around.
"Oh, you are also a freshman at Hogwarts?" The little girl looked up with a look of arrogance - that kind of arrogance was completely different from Cassandra's. Cassandra's arrogance came from her noble family background, while this little girl reminded Harry of the girl in his class who always ranked first in the grade when he was in a Muggle school.
It is a kind of pride of a top student.
It's just that...those two big buck teeth reminded Harry of the dormouse that Hagrid kept in his pocket.
"Yes." Harry smiled.
Hermione also noticed Harry's attire. Not that his clothes were a little shabby, but rather - they were typical Muggle attire.
When they arrived at Diagon Alley, Hermione made a special observation and found that most of the young wizards usually dressed differently from the Muggles.
"Are you from a Muggle family too?" Hermione's tone became a little warmer.
Harry replied, "Sort of."
Hermione showed a look of astonishment.
"Hermione Granger." She held out her hand. "Nice to meet you."
"Harry, Harry Potter." Harry also reached out and held Hermione's little hand.
Who knew that after hearing Harry's words, Hermione's expression immediately became surprised.
"Oh my God, is it really you?" she asked. "I know everything about you. Of course, I bought a few extra reference books for after-dinner entertainment, "Modern History of Magic", "The Rise and Fall of Dark Magic" and "Important Magical Events in the 20th Century". Your name is mentioned in great detail in these books."
After-dinner entertainment?
Harry felt that this Miss Granger might... probably... not be the same kind of person as him.
Typical Ravenclaw behavior.
"Shouldn't a celebrity like you live in the wizarding world? Why did you lie to me and say you came from a Muggle family?" Hermione suddenly frowned.
"You know, my parents were killed by Voldemort when I was very young..." Harry said silently, "So I grew up in my aunt's house and just learned about the existence of magic."
"Oh, I'm sorry." Hermione bit her lip and apologized to Harry: "I'm sorry, I'm really sorry."
"It's okay." Harry smiled: "After all, you don't know about this either--"
"Miss Granger?"
A serious voice sounded, and Harry looked in the direction of the voice. It was a witch wearing a dark green robe and glasses.
"Professor McGonagall!" Hermione cheered, and seemed to like this witch very much.
Professor McGonagall smiled at Hermione, then turned to Harry and met his emerald eyes.
"Is this... Mr. Potter?" "Hello, Professor McGonagall." Harry saluted Professor McGonagall.
Professor McGonagall nodded slightly, a hint of reminiscence in her eyes.
This kid...
I think he looks like Lily, Professor McGonagall thought happily.
Just then, Madam Malkin also came over.
"If you don't mind, ladies and this gentleman." Madam Malkin looked at Harry: "I'm going to start taking measurements."
"Then I'll be leaving first, Harry." Hermione said to Harry, "See you at school."
"See you at school." Harry nodded as well, "Goodbye, Professor."
After measuring his clothes, Harry followed Hagrid around Diagon Alley and bought everything on his back-to-school shopping list.
Finally, the two of them stopped in front of the wand shop.
"Olivanders, making fine wands since 382 BC."
Harry looked up and read the words written on the peeling gold sign.
"Very old, isn't it?" Hagrid patted Harry's shoulder. "You know, I bought my wand here when I was in school. I should say that almost all students at Hogwarts buy their wands here."
Harry nodded in agreement. After all, he had bought his wand here a hundred years ago.
The owner at the time was Gevans Ollivander, a somewhat neurotic man.
Holly wood, phoenix feather core, 11 inches.
But... I don’t know where the magic wand I used a hundred years ago is now.
Harry felt that it was necessary to look for his old friend.
The shop is very small, with just a bench and nothing else.
Hagrid told Harry that he was going to go out for a while, and then left Harry waiting in the wand shop by himself.
Harry didn't have to wait too long before a gentle voice sounded in his ear.
"good afternoon."
"Hello." Harry turned around and saw an old man standing in front of him.
If his guess was correct, the old man in front of him should be the son of Gevans Ollivander.
"Yes, yes, yes," Ollivander nodded. "I knew I would see you soon, Harry Potter. You have the same eyes as your mother had. It seems like only yesterday that she came here to buy her first wand - ten and a quarter inches long, made of willow, and whirring when you waved it. A fine wand."
"But your father is different," Ollivander continued, "Mahogany, eleven inches, flexible, and stronger, it is perfect for Transfiguration. Your father likes it very much - in fact, of course, the wand chooses its wizard."
At this point, Ollivander came closer, very close to Harry.
"Your scar..." He reached out to push back Harry's bangs, revealing the lightning-shaped scar. "I'm sorry, it was caused by a wand I sold. It was thirteen and a half inches, made of yew wood, with phoenix feathers. It was very powerful, extremely powerful, but it fell into the wrong hands."
Harry calmly took a step back, putting some distance between himself and Mr. Ollivander, who had no sense of boundaries.
"I forgive you," he said.
