Chapter 461 The alarm is finally off!

He formed a hand seal, and black energy condensed into a vortex in front of his chest. That vortex exuded an aura that devoured everything; even light could not escape it.

"The Profound Truth of the Laws of Darkness—Abyssal Devouring!"

A massive black vortex swept towards the three of them. The three felt the terrifying suction force and their expressions changed drastically.

"Law fusion, quick!" Rowan shouted.

The three simultaneously unleashed their power of law. Golden, purple, and silver energies converged in the air, rapidly merging into the three-colored sphere of light. Although the merging speed was much faster than before, it was still a beat too slow in the face of Barton's attack.

The black vortex was already in sight, and the powerful suction slowed down the three of them.

"It's too late!" Hong gritted his teeth. "I'll hold them off!"

He stood in front of the two, his golden power of law burning to its limit. The golden light from his entire body condensed into a massive shield, facing the black vortex head-on.

boom!
The shield collided with the vortex, and the terrifying energy shock made Hong tremble. The golden shield was rapidly melting away, but it bought Rowan and Thor precious time.

"It's done!" Rowan and Thor simultaneously completed the fusion of the laws.

The three-colored sphere shot out with a roar, colliding with the black vortex. The two energies intertwined, collided, and annihilated each other in the universe, ultimately perishing together.

But the cost of this attack was enormous. Cracks appeared in Hong's golden armor, and blood trickled from the corner of his mouth. Rowan and Thor also suffered a backlash from forcibly accelerating their fusion, their faces turning pale.

“Truly tenacious,” Barton wiped the blood from his mouth, his eyes flashing with a fierce light, “but that’s all. You’ve reached your limit, while I can fight on!”

He launched another attack, this time faster and with greater power. Rowan and his two companions gritted their teeth and resisted, but were forced to retreat under Barton's relentless assault.

Just as the three were about to give up, the Conqueror's communicator suddenly rang.

"Attention all personnel! Enemy assault team is infiltrating the Conqueror! Repeat, enemy assault team is infiltrating the Conqueror! All combat personnel, return to the ship immediately and protect the core area!"

The three of them exchanged glances and saw the surprise in each other's eyes.

"The enemy's target isn't us," Hong realized, "it's the Conqueror! They want to capture our flagship!"

“Damn it,” Rowan gritted his teeth, “we have to go back!”

"Trying to leave? Did you ask me?" Barton sneered, blocking the way for the three.

"Get out of the way!" Thor roared, his entire body crackling with lightning as he charged toward Barton without regard for anything else.

Barton snorted coldly, about to make a move, when he suddenly felt a powerful pressure coming from the side. His expression changed, and he hurriedly dodged.

A golden sword aura swept past the spot where he had just stood; if he had reacted any slower, he would have been cut in half.

"Who?" Barton looked warily in the direction from which the sword energy was coming from.

A middle-aged man clad in golden armor flew slowly over; he was none other than Sauron, another cosmic-level powerhouse from the Virtual Universe Company.

“Your opponent is me,” Soren said calmly. “My three young brothers, the enemies inside the ship are yours to deal with.”

"Thank you, senior!" Rowan and the other two immediately turned around and flew at full speed toward the Conqueror.

"Trying to leave?" Barton wanted to give chase, but Soren stopped him.

“I told you, your opponent is me,” Soren said, pointing his sword at Barton. “A first-tier cosmic-level being against a stellar-level one—don’t you think that’s a bit too much?”

"Hmph, mind your own business," Barton sneered, but he didn't dare underestimate Soren. The battle between the two cosmic-level powerhouses then began.

Rowan and his two companions flew back to the Conqueror. As soon as they entered the hangar, they heard intense gunfire. The entire hangar had become a battlefield, with explosions and flames everywhere.

Hundreds of Kara commandos clad in black combat uniforms are engaged in battle with the Conqueror's garrison. These commandos are well-equipped, each possessing at least a third-tier stellar-level strength, making them extremely formidable in combat.

"There are too many enemies!" A soldier from the Virtual Universe Corporation, taking cover, fired continuously. "The hangar can't be held! Requesting backup!"

"Support has arrived," Rowan's voice rang out on the communication channel.

The three descended from the sky, landing in the center of the hangar. Rowan unleashed a sword strike, a silver wind blade sweeping across a row of Kara assault team members, sending them all flying. Hong charged towards the densest concentration of enemies, his golden fists raining down, each punch knocking down an enemy. Thor was even more ferocious, purple lightning exploding among the enemy ranks, electrocuting the assault team members until they convulsed.

"It's those three brats from Earth!" A Kara Commando captain recognized the three. "Everyone, focus fire and take them out!"

Hundreds of assault team members opened fire simultaneously. Beams from various energy weapons intertwined to form a fire net, covering the area where the three men were located.

"Diamond Barrier!" Hong deployed his defenses, and a golden energy shield protected the three of them.

Dense beams of energy bombarded the energy shield, sparking countless sparks. Although the energy shield trembled, it remained intact.

"Fight back!" Rowan shouted.

Thor extended his hands from the energy shield, unleashing countless purple bolts of lightning that danced like serpents, striking the assault team. A dozen or so enemies, caught off guard, were struck and fell screaming in agony.

Rowan transformed into a streak of silver light, weaving through the enemy ranks. His speed was incredible; the assault team members couldn't keep up with him. Wherever his silver sword passed, enemy after enemy fell.

"Damn it, those three are too strong!" the Kara Commando captain gritted his teeth. "Activate heavy weapons!"

Several assault team members carried out a giant energy cannon, aiming it at Rowan and his two companions. It was a weapon specifically designed for assaults, with power comparable to a full-force attack from a seventh-tier stellar-level expert.

"Watch out!" Hong shouted, raising the intensity of the golden energy shield to its limit.

boom!
The energy cannon fired, its thick beam slamming into the energy shield. The immense impact caused Hong to grunt and stagger back several steps. Cracks appeared in the energy shield, but it still managed to withstand the attack.

"Want to come again?" Rowan's eyes flashed with a cold light. "Then don't blame me for being impolite!"

His entire body ignited with the laws of storm, and silver energy formed a storm armor around his body. Then, he transformed into a bolt of silver lightning, charging straight at the energy cannon.

"Stop him!" Kara Commando captain shouted.

Dozens of commandos stood in front of the energy cannon, unleashing a barrage of attacks at Rowan. But Rowan was too fast; he performed several incredible dodges in mid-air, avoiding all the attacks, and then slashed at the energy cannon with his sword.

Click!

The energy cannon was cleaved in two by a single sword strike, and its internal energy core went out of control, resulting in a violent explosion.

boom!
The shockwave from the explosion sent all the surrounding assault team members flying, and Rowan was also thrown back more than ten meters.

"Well done!" Thor shouted excitedly.

But before the three could even breathe a sigh of relief, an emergency call came through the communicator.

"The power room is under attack! The enemy is attempting to sabotage the reactor. If successful, the Conqueror will lose power!"

"What?" The three of them were visibly shocked.

"You guys guard the hangar," Rowan ordered decisively. "I'm going to the power room!" "It's too dangerous for one person," Hong said worriedly.

"There's no time!" Rowan rushed out. "We need you here!"

He ran at full speed along the corridor inside the ship. The corridor was littered with signs of battle; the walls were riddled with craters, and there were many corpses on the ground—both soldiers from the Virtual Universe Corporation and Kara Commandos.

"How far is the engine room?" Rowan asked the ship's AI as he ran.

"The straight-line distance is three kilometers, but several sections of the route are blocked by the enemy," the AI replied. "We suggest taking a detour."

“No time for detours,” Rowan gritted his teeth. “Give me the shortest route!”

"Received, route planned," the AI projected a navigation line in Rowan's field of vision, "Warning: Large number of enemies ahead."

Rowan ignored the warnings and sprinted along the navigation line. Soon, he encountered his first obstacle—a squad of Kara assault troops were setting up defenses in the corridor.

"Enemy! Open fire!"

A dense beam of energy shot towards him, but Rowan dodged it by running along the wall. Then, he unleashed a sword strike, the wind blades whistling through the narrow corridor and knocking down the entire assault team.

He continued forward, encountering several waves of enemies along the way, but he forcefully broke through them all. With his superior combat skills and formidable strength, Rowan carved a bloody path through the ship's interior.

Finally, the door to the power room came into view. But standing at the door was a tall, powerful Kara warrior, exuding the aura of an eighth-tier stellar-level expert.

"Earthling?" the powerful Kara sneered. "You've got guts to get this far. But your journey ends here."

“Get out of my way,” Rowan said coldly, his silver longsword pointing at the other man. “I don’t want to waste time.”

"Arrogant!" Kara roared, unleashing a punch.

A blazing flame burned on his fist—the power of the Law of Fire. The terrifying heat distorted the surrounding air.

Rowan neither dodged nor evaded, unleashing his own sword strike. The storm collided with the flames, erupting in a violent energy surge. Countless cracks appeared in the corridor walls.

Their figures clashed in the narrow corridor, each collision producing a deafening roar. Kara's strength was formidable; her fire-based attacks were ferocious and scorching. But Rowan's storm-based techniques were more agile, giving him an advantage in confined spaces.

"Storm Cage!"

Rowan unleashed a sword strike, countless wind blades weaving through the corridor to form a massive cage, trapping the Kara warrior within. The Kara warrior tried to break free, but each time he approached the edge of the cage, he was slashed by the sharp wind blades.

"Damn it!" Kara roared, unleashing the full power of his fire magic, "Fire Explosion!"

He detonated a portion of the Fire Law within his body, and the resulting explosion shattered the Storm Cage. However, he himself was also severely injured and collapsed to the ground, unable to move.

Rowan ignored him and charged straight toward the door to the power room. The door had already been blown open, and the sounds of fierce fighting could be heard inside.

Rushing into the engine room, Rowan witnessed a scene that horrified him.

Inside the power plant, a dozen Kara assault team members were besieging the guards. Beside the reactor, a Kara elite soldier in purple armor was planting a bomb.

"Stop!" Rowan shouted, slashing at the elite with his sword.

The purple-clad elite reacted swiftly, dodging the attack with a somersault, then sneered, "Too late. The bomb is already planted, thirty seconds left. Want to defuse it? You'll have to get past me first!"

He struck Rowan with a palm strike, his palm brimming with terrifying dark energy. Rowan hurriedly tried to block, but was still forced back several steps.

“Ninth-tier Stellar level!” Rowan’s expression turned solemn.

"Not bad eyesight," the purple-clad elite said, cracking his knuckles. "You recognized my cultivation level. Too bad, it's useless; you can't stop me."

"That's not necessarily true," Rowan took a deep breath, and the Storm Laws ignited throughout his body.

He knew time was of the essence and he had to act quickly. So he unleashed his full power, pushing the laws of storm to their limit.

"Storm's Ultimate Technique - Endless Blade Dance!"

Countless wind blades danced in the power room, forming a terrifying storm. The purple-clad elite's expression changed drastically, and he hurriedly deployed his defenses. But there were simply too many wind blades; he couldn't defend against them at all.

Soon, countless wounds appeared on his body, and purple blood splattered everywhere.

"Damn Earthlings!" the purple-clad elite roared, attempting to launch a counterattack.

But Rowan gave him no chance, the wind blades following him relentlessly. Finally, the purple-clad elite's defenses were completely breached, and a wind blade slashed across his throat.

The purple-clad elite stared wide-eyed, then collapsed in despair.

Rowan immediately rushed to the reactor to check the bomb. Fifteen seconds remained on the countdown.

“Damn it, I don’t know how to defuse this bomb,” Rowan said, sweat beading on his forehead. “AI, can you defuse it?”

"It cannot be dismantled. This bomb has anti-disassembly devices; forcibly removing it will detonate it immediately," the AI replied.

"What should we do?"

"It is recommended that the bomb be moved to a safe area and detonated."

"Is there enough time?"

"At your top speed, you can move outside the ship before the explosion."

"enough!"

Rowan grabbed the bomb and sprinted out of the power room. He ran wildly down the corridor, pushing himself to the limit. The countdown continued: ten seconds, nine seconds, eight seconds.
He rushed into the hangar and jumped out of the ship through a hole. In the vacuum of space, he hurled the bomb far into the distance.

Three seconds, two seconds, one second.
boom! ! !
The bomb exploded one kilometer from the Conqueror, and the resulting shockwave shook the entire warship. However, this distance was safe enough, and the Conqueror suffered no substantial damage.

"Phew," Rowan breathed a sigh of relief, floating in space, watching the distant explosion. "Finally made it."

Just then, Hong's voice came through the communicator.

"Rowan, how are things on your end?"

“It’s resolved,” Rowan replied. “The power room is saved. How about your side?”

"The enemies in the hangar have been cleared out," Hong said, "but there are still remnants in other areas."

“I’ll be right back,” Rowan said, turning and flying back to the ship.

For the next hour, Rowan and his two companions continued to clear out the remaining enemy forces inside the ship. Although the Kara commando team was elite, they were still defeated one by one by the three working together.

The alarms inside the Conqueror were finally lifted when the last commando fell.
