Chapter 73 Including Ears
The first day that Caesar had been so eagerly anticipating ended with two male bears slinking away in disgrace.

Guo Mi watched their departing figures, her gaze returning to the flowers Caesar had brought back. A subtle emotion stirred within her, but it vanished quickly.

She picked up the bouquet and went to the drying platform where she had previously used to dry fish. She tamped down the loosened soil, placed the bouquet on it, and spread the piled-up flowers out evenly with her paws.

She could still faintly smell the fragrant aroma at the tip of her nose, and Guo Mi couldn't help but squint her eyes contentedly before eagerly rolling around on the still-wet flowers.

When it got up, there were two small pieces of grass stuck to its nose, and its white fur was stained with green grass juice.

She buried her head in the flowers and took a deep breath. She had only relaxed for a couple of minutes when she felt an itch in her ears. She raised her paw and rubbed it hard. Hugging the flowers, she let out a sullen sigh, her good mood turning into a bit of frustration.

On the other side, Slok consciously and quietly lagged behind a few steps, stealing glances at Caesar.

Caesar, who was walking ahead, suddenly stopped because of the low pressure in his body!

Slok's heart skipped a beat, and he took two steps back!
Caesar turned around and saw him standing a few meters away, looking guilty. He wasn't angry at first, but now he was furious!
He asked through gritted teeth:

"Slok, didn't you say there would be absolutely no problem?"

Slok crouched down in fright, tucking his ears tightly behind his back, and answered pitifully:

"But... but I've always been like this!"

Caesar was stunned for a moment, not quite understanding:
"What before?"

Slok cried out in a mournful voice:

“This is how I win over the mother bear. I’ve told you everything without missing a single detail.”

This is how he was when he was pursuing the female bear. Back then, the female bear loved watching him act silly on the ground, and they would even chase and play with each other in the flower bushes.

Just thinking about it makes me happy.

Slok felt extremely wronged, glanced at Caesar, and muttered resentfully under his breath:
"The flowerbed I chose wasn't by the water; it's clearly your own fault."

Caesar paused for a moment, subconsciously feeling that what the stupid bear said seemed to make some sense, but it was impossible for him to admit that he was dumber than the stupid bear!

And so, to Slok's horrified gaze, Caesar's imposing figure rose high, chin held high, looking down at him, and said, word by word:

"I won't believe anything you say anymore. Tomorrow I'm going to do it my own way!"

Slok was dumbfounded, watching Caesar stride confidently forward with his head held high, leaving him with only a disdainful back view. He silently thought to himself:
I hope you're right.

Several hours later, Guo Mi sleepily crawled out of the cave, where two male bears were already waiting.

Instead of hiding in the hole, the salmon and fish bones sat behind Slok, peeking out their little heads to secretly observe Caesar.

Caesar, quite self-aware, sat a little further away from the bear cub, his eyes fixed on the entrance to the cave.

Guo Mi showed no remorse for keeping the two bears waiting. She sat at the entrance of the cave, raised her paw to groom the fur on her head, and wiped her face, looking completely relaxed.

The male bear didn't urge her, but just sat quietly beside her watching Guo Mi groom her fur bit by bit, his gaze fixed on the tip of her left ear.

For some reason, the area was dotted with greenery.

Caesar's eyes darkened as he stared intently at the tips of Guo Mi's ears.

Slok hunched over and sat down to the side with the two bear cubs. He felt conflicted about Caesar's plan, unsure whether he should sympathize more with Guo Mi or with Caesar.

Fortunately, Guo Mi wasn't one to procrastinate. After quickly tidying up her messy fur, she walked towards Caesar.
Where are we going today?

After calming down for several hours, the male bear remembered his bear persona again, and said in a cool and concise voice:

"follow me."

Then he got up and took the lead, showing the way.

Guo Mi turned to the two little bears and gave them instructions:
"Don't stray too far from the cave entrance, understand?" Only after receiving an affirmative reply did he follow.

This time, the chosen direction is one that Guo Mi is already familiar with.

As she walked, she strayed further and further off course, and it seemed she was heading towards the water again. Guo Mi suddenly felt like giving up.

Noticing that she had slowed down, Caesar turned his head, his eyes filled with doubt.

She had considered gritting her teeth and getting through it, but the thought of the swarms of mosquitoes made her feel like she couldn't make it through, no matter how much she tried to mentally prepare herself.

She decided to fight for herself:
"Could we... possibly avoid going to the water?"

Caesar paused briefly, his eyes showing some hesitation, but quickly hardened again:
"No."

Guo Mi instantly felt tears welling up inside. She didn't want to have a proper conversation with Caesar anymore; she just wanted to get away from him!

Caesar noticed Guo Mi's reluctance and his mind went blank. He had made many plans while Guo Mi was sleeping, and even anticipated many unexpected situations that might arise.

The only unexpected thing was that Guo Mi had already begun to subtly resist the plan before it was even implemented.

The enormous polar bear stood there, staring blankly at Guo Mi's green ear tips. It tilted its head back and twitched its nose twice, its eyes inadvertently revealing a hint of helplessness.

Even a bear is a huge, furry creature, and from a human perspective, most people can't resist the allure of a furry person.

Guo Mi looked at Caesar's pitiful state and immediately looked away as if she had been pricked by a needle. After a few seconds of silence,

—I actually softened my heart, which is shameful.

The cold-blooded brown bear was shocked that he had actually softened his heart!

She raised her paw and patted her face, trying to reassure herself that it must be because Caesar hadn't appeared in front of her for a long time, plus the bouquet of flowers from yesterday—that must be it!

But regardless, since she had already agreed to Caesar's terms of exchange, Guo Mi felt that she should occasionally uphold the spirit of the contract.

So she sighed, resigned herself, and walked up to Caesar:
"Let's go."

Caesar paused for two seconds, then realized that Guo Mi was willing to go with him, and quickly went ahead to lead the way.

This time, even my steps were much lighter!
Guo Mi watched the male bear's obviously cheerful gait ahead, a hint of a smile flashing in her eyes.

Caesar took two steps and then couldn't help but turn back, his gaze fixed on the tip of Guo Mi's ear.

The rounded ears were tinged with a vibrant green, their fluffy fur trembling as it moved. The male bear couldn't help but look at them again and again, and eventually, it was reluctant to look away.

As Guo Mi walked, she noticed that Caesar had stopped. Somewhat puzzled, she looked up and everything went dark. Then, she felt a warm sensation in her ears, which were covered with a light dampness.

Caesar only then realized what he had done while his mind was blank, and he was shocked!

He quickly relented, took two steps back, and looked at Guo Mi with lingering fear.

Guo Mi was stunned at first, and only after the male bear had retreated did she belatedly realize that her ear had been sucked, and she was stunned again.

Why are you sucking her ear when you're perfectly fine? Is this part of the game?
Is this some kind of new bear-themed game?
But judging from Caesar's appearance, it didn't seem like a game invitation at all. Guo Mi's heart skipped a beat, and her eyes suddenly turned strange.

Caesar was startled by her gaze, instantly turned his head away, stood up, and walked forward with his paws and feet moving in unison.

Guo Mi felt even more uneasy looking at his awkward walking posture. When she thought about how Caesar had seemed to enjoy being slapped by claws, her gaze towards the male bear ahead became even more indescribable.

Caesar felt the intense, burning gaze from behind him, tucked his tail in, and quickened his pace.

But he still felt itchy, so he wanted to take another look when Guo Mi wasn't paying attention!
When he turned around, he met Guo Mi's probing gaze!

The male bear immediately became obedient, leading the way without daring to look back.
