Chapter 46 Bad Idea

Slok was unaware that his cold-blooded older brother had already gone through a series of twists and turns in his mind and was still immersed in the joy of Caesar wanting to mate.

This means he can prove that Caesar is a normal polar bear just like him!

Slok instantly felt that his relationship with Caesar had become much closer!
However, he soon encountered another problem:
"But... I think I smell bear cubs, two of them. The mother bear must be a mother bear with cubs..."

He glanced at Caesar with surprise as he spoke:
"Why didn't you kill those two little brats?"

This is so out of character for Caesar. Normally, given his temperament, he would either ignore cubs or kill them on the spot. How come he's keeping the cubs of a female bear who wants to mate?!
Slok muttered to himself:

"And another thing, those two little brats smell so familiar, like I've smelled them somewhere before..."

Caesar whispered:
“That’s Kaya’s little bear cub.”

Slok was surprised to hear this:
"Kaya? Wasn't she dead?! After all this time, her little brat is still alive?!"

Looking into Caesar's silent eyes, an unbelievable guess suddenly popped into Slok's mind:

"That mother bear adopted Kaya's cubs and has raised them ever since?!"

Caesar saw his surprise and disbelief, and his own eyes showed a hint of inner turmoil. He too had been surprised when he first learned of this.

But after spending more time with Guo Mi, especially hearing what she taught the two little cubs, he suddenly felt it was perfectly reasonable.

She herself is a very special bear.

After the initial shock, Slok was overwhelmed with complex and indescribable emotions, muttering to himself:

"If a bear can adopt two cubs that are completely unrelated to her, why can't Mommy live with me? Why must polar bears live independently?"

Caesar's eyes flickered, a strange look in them, and he called his name in a low, warning voice:
"Slok".

Slok snapped out of his daze and muttered:

"Okay, okay, I won't say that again!"

His eyes darted around, and he asked Caesar with a mischievous grin:

"You still haven't told me why you didn't kill those two cubs. Were you afraid the mother bear would fight you to the death? That's not like you."

The male bear killed the cub. Some female bears chose to leave, but some female bears could not bear the pain of losing their cubs and would fight the male bear to the death!

Therefore, under normal circumstances, if the mother bear tries her best to stop it, most male bears will not try to kill their cubs, but will choose to give up.

But Caesar is clearly not in this category.

Slok chuckled, deliberately being sarcastic:

"It's okay, those two bear cubs aren't her biological children anyway, so it doesn't matter if they kill them, right? If it really comes down to it, I'll go in your place!"

He had only intended to see Caesar make a fool of himself, but Caesar simply sat down and looked at him with a half-smile, saying:

"Okay, then go ahead."

Slok froze, his body stiffening at his unpredictable response from his cold-blooded older brother, before he stammered:
"You really want me to go?"

This was the first time Caesar had spoken to Slok so gently and kindly:
"Yes, you wanted to help me, so I'm counting on you!"

Slok wanted to back out: "How about we just call it even..."

Caesar bared his sharp, cold teeth, a threatening glint in his eyes:
"Didn't you say you'd help me? Have you changed your mind?"

Slok: "..."

He reluctantly ran two steps towards the lake, then couldn't help turning back and tentatively asking:
"So... I'm really going?"

Caesar remained calm and composed.

"Go."

Slok took two more steps, still trying to make one last effort, and turned back with pleading eyes:
"Did I really go?"

Caesar remained unmoved, even subtly pressuring him to move forward, lowering his voice to threaten:
"Go!"

Poor Slok, under the pressure of his cold-blooded older brother, kept looking back as he ran towards the frozen lake!
Never mind, he's bigger than that mother bear anyway, and the cubs aren't her own. Maybe the mother bear will give up the cubs after a couple of moves!

Caesar watched Slok's retreating figure, a rare hint of sympathy appearing in his eyes. After a while, he slowly stood up and followed in Slok's footsteps.

By the time he reached the lake, the war had just ended.

Slok's fur was disheveled, with two bloody gashes on his ears, the crimson blood seeping out and staining his white fur filthy. He covered his nose tightly with his paws, and upon seeing Caesar, he scrambled behind him as if he had seen a savior, trembling and sobbing:

"She's so fierce, she's incredibly fierce! How can there be such a fierce mother bear?"

Guo Mi sat beside him, slowly licking her disheveled fur with her paws. Her long, thin, and sharp nails gleamed coldly in the reflection of the snow. She glanced leisurely behind Caesar, which made Slok shrink back in fright.

I saw this bear waddling over from afar, and it immediately demanded that she hand over the cub.

Having witnessed his tantrum, the male bear Guo Mi, who looked dull and foolish and seemed to be playing around, was not afraid at all. She raised her paw and started swatting at him!

In no time at all, he was beaten so badly that he was howling and trying to back away!

Guo Mi pressed her advantage and taught him a lesson in one go, even giving the bear two swipes on its rear end!

Slok is sitting in the snow behind Caesar right now, so you can't see him. But once he stands up and walks around a couple of times, his bald bear rear end will definitely be very noticeable!
Caesar had expected this scene. He was still angry at the thought of how that stupid bear had threatened him earlier, and now he could finally vent his anger.

Anyway, it was the round-faced bear who hit him, not him.

After hiding for a while and realizing that Guo Mi had no intention of continuing to attack him, Slok cautiously emerged from behind his cold-blooded older brother, took a few steps forward, and smiled ingratiatingly at Guo Mi.

Caesar's gaze immediately fell on his sparsely haired rear end. Although a lot of hair had fallen out, the remaining fur was still long enough to cover the two claw marks, making them appear less serious.
It was all bloody, and even the little tail hidden under its fur was injured, scratched by fingernails, and it was trembling in pain.

Caesar exclaimed in surprise, this was unexpected. He glanced at Guo Mi with considerable astonishment, his eyes clearly conveying a message:
Why did you use such a heavy claw?
Guo Mi snorted coldly, "Don't think she doesn't know what's going on."

This bear looks tough, but it's actually incredibly timid. It surrendered immediately after being patted twice. You can tell it was forced to come here!
Who forced him to do this? Who else could it be but that annoying male bear, Caesar?

However, Slok is no good for daring to mess with the bear cub, and he deserved to be beaten!

Her gaze fell on Slok, and the bear, who had been hit, instantly straightened up and could only let out two dry "hehe" laughs.

Guo Mi glanced at him, then her gaze fell on Caesar behind him. A wicked idea flashed in her eyes, and she suddenly turned to Slock and said "amiably":
"Did I scratch a little too hard? I'm sorry, don't be afraid, come here."
