Chapter 2 Encounter with a Giant Male Bear

Guo Mi's gaze fell on his blood-stained half-face, and finally on his blood-stained forepaws, her pupils contracting!
That's him, the male bear who killed the female bear!

The male bear opposite her had obviously noticed Guo Mi's presence as well. It tapped its nose twice in the air, seemingly sniffing her scent, before finally fixing its gaze on the female bear's carcass at Guo Mi's feet and baring its teeth.

Guo Mi was so frightened that she took a few steps back, feeling a chill run down her spine.

The other person seemed extremely interested in her round face, their eyes constantly darting between her round face and round ears.

Guo Mi watched the other party's every move warily, fearing that he would suddenly pounce on her, and with a low growl in her throat, she retreated again and again.

Meanwhile, the male bear opposite her kept its head raised, sniffing her scent. Finally, it looked at her thoughtfully, then suddenly lifted its foot and walked towards her!

Guo Mi was so frightened that she turned and ran. She didn't care about the food or the bear mother anymore! All she wanted now was to escape!
Suddenly, everything went blurry before my eyes, followed by a tremendous impact from behind!
The next second, Guo Mi was knocked to the ground upside down by the bear, and its huge paws landed heavily on her chest.

She twisted her body with all her might, trying to struggle, but she found in despair that the other person's weight was like a heavy mountain, pressing down on her so that she had no way to resist!

Suddenly, a burst of hot, moist air was sprayed onto my nose, followed by a strong smell of blood entering my nasal cavity!

Guo Mi was so frightened that she dared not move. She spread out her four paws, which she was waving wildly, revealing her vulnerable belly, and adopted a posture of showing weakness.

The male bear seemed pleased with her understanding and loosened its grip on her chest slightly, finally allowing Guo Mi to catch her breath.

Watching the massive snow tyrant slowly lower its head, its dark nose still lightly touching her face, inhaling her scent.

A strange feeling suddenly arose in Guo Mi's heart.

Is this guy just here to smell her scent?

However, this annoying male bear seemed to have no sense of propriety, circling Guo Mi's face with its nose before moving downwards!
Guo Mi's breath hitched, and she could clearly feel the other person's mouth almost touching the crook of her neck!
That won't do. If this male bear changes its mind and decides to kill her, she won't even have a chance to struggle!

Guo Mi's eyes flashed with anger, and she suddenly let out a fierce roar as her thick bear claws slammed into the male bear's face!
Sharp claws grazed the male bear's ear, drawing a trace of blood!
The male bear was stunned by the sudden claw attack. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Guo Mi rolled over and stood up, shook off the snow, and charged towards the male bear with her round body!

The male bear also realized what was happening, let out an angry roar, and raised its paws to meet the challenge from the strange female bear!

But then he found the other person running aggressively towards him, and then...

Did we brush past each other...?

The huge, round ball of fur ran incredibly fast, its thick limbs digging forward with all its might, sending the crushed snow flying to both sides!

Unexpectedly, the male bear did not chase after her. Instead, he simply stood there and watched the female bear flee in panic. His round, plump tail bounced up and down with his running, looking very bouncy.

The male polar bear's eyes darkened as it stared at its tail for a long time until Guo Mi disappeared from sight, at which point it finally looked away.

He went back behind the snowdrift, dragged out the carcass of an Arctic fox, and slowly moved it next to the mother bear's carcass.

Suddenly, a bear roar came from afar. The male bear looked up, and another male polar bear trotted over from a distance. It had a flesh-colored scar on the tip of its brown nose, and its ears were on the sides of its face. It swayed from side to side as it trotted, looking very憨厚 (honest and simple).

"Caesar, it's been a long time!" Slok changed from running to walking, swaying his head as he slowly approached.

Caesar grunted in agreement, then bent down and tore a piece of meat from the Arctic fox, chewing it in his mouth.

Slok exclaimed in surprise as he got closer:
"Isn't that Kaya? You killed her!"

His bear-like face revealed a hint of disapproval:

"Kaya is a mother bear with cubs. Although it's mating season now, you're being too hasty."

He looked around as he spoke:
"Where is the bear cub's body? You're not going to let them go, are you?"

Caesar didn't even look up: "Smell it again."

Slok looked up and sniffed again, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes:
"Hmm, it really wasn't you who killed them. There's the smell of other bears, two male bears, a smell I've never smelled before. No wonder Kaya and the child were separated..."

"Oh, and there's a female bear too, with a scent I've never smelled before. A new female bear has arrived here!"

A flicker of surprise crossed Slok's eyes, followed by hesitation:
"However, this mother bear tastes a bit strange."

Caesar stopped chewing, suddenly remembering how the mother bear had run away earlier.

Its ears are round, its face is round, its body is round, and even its tail is round!

That's really strange.

Slok shook his head:

“I apologize to you, my brother, but you should know that you have killed at least five polar bears, so it’s not entirely my fault.”

He and Caesar were brothers. Although they no longer lived together, they had grown up together since childhood, so Caesar would not lay a hand on him.

An Arctic fox can be eaten quickly, and Caesar even left Slok a hind leg.

Slok didn't stand on ceremony, swallowing it down in a few bites, then smacked his lips:
“I’m not full.”

Caesar glanced at the polar bear carcass on the ground:
"There's more here."

A hint of resentment flashed in Slok's eyes as he reached out a bear paw and patted Caesar's shoulder:

"Why are you always like this? There's plenty of food now, I don't want to eat my own kind!"

Caesar grunted expressionlessly, then turned and slowly walked in the direction Guo Mi had just left.

Slok glanced regretfully at the dead Kaya:

"Poor Kaya, I was planning to wait for your bear cub to leave, or even kill your bear cub, before pursuing you."

He shook his head and followed Caesar's departing steps:
"Caesar, wait for me! Three strange bears have suddenly appeared on this land. Aren't you curious?"

……

Guo Mi fled for her life, but suddenly realized that running like this was not a solution, so she decisively turned back!
Polar bears have an excellent sense of smell, so simply running away won't work if you really want to track her.

So Guo Mi began to disrupt her escape route, sometimes running back in circles, sometimes moving in a straight line, and even rolling around in the snow!

She was trying to use this method to fill the area with her own scent and disrupt the male bear's sense of smell.

In the end, he didn't even know where he had ended up.

But it was obvious that the male bear hadn't caught up. Guo Mi was satisfied with her results, shook off the snow, and prepared to continue searching for a lake.

Unexpectedly, beneath the thick, soft snow layer lay a large snow slope. Guo Mi lost her footing and tumbled down the steep slope!
After a dizzying spin, Guo Mi, like a tumbling snowball, finally came to a stop covered in ice and snow. When she looked up, she realized that she seemed to have returned to the area where she had found the mother bear's carcass!
However, this place is a bit far from the body, and the terrain is also higher.

Guo Mi was somewhat panicked and subconsciously looked in the direction of the mother bear's carcass.

Taking advantage of the high elevation, the body could still be seen lying there, but the male bear was nowhere to be seen, apparently having gone far away.

Guo Mi finally relaxed, and in the blink of an eye, she met two pairs of bewildered eyes in the withered branches.

They are two polar bear cubs!
