Chapter 147 Branches Laden with Fruit

Guo Mi closed her eyes, not caring what part of the meat she was biting. She tore off pieces of meat and swallowed them whole without chewing. Before she could even swallow, she was already taking a second bite.

Slok stared blankly as his cold-blooded older brother rolled around on the ground, throwing a tantrum. Only when he noticed the ferocity in his brother's eyes did he snap out of his daze, take two steps back, and stammer:
"Uh, well, sorry, sorry to bother you, I didn't see anything."

Then he decisively turned around and ran away without looking back.

Caesar never imagined that his momentary extroversion would result in a lifetime of introversion. His gaze as Slok walked away suddenly turned dangerous, and the thought of "annihilating him" kept swirling in his mind.

Guo Mi's attention was diverted. After watching Slock run off into the distance, she glanced gloatingly at the lifeless Caesar, then looked down at the two bear cubs and asked:

"Are you hungry?"

She moved aside, making room for the unfinished wolf, and licked the two little bears' ears: "Eat up."

Caesar's attention was now drawn back to Slok. Acidity was rising from his throat to his brain. He glared resentfully at Guo Mi for giving up her prey to feed the two little ones.

"Why can they eat it, but I can't?"

Guo Mi was baffled by the question:
"There's more than just one wolf; there are so many around."

His gaze swept over the wolf beneath the two bear cubs' paws, his resentment running deep.

"I want to eat this one."

Guo Mi: "..."

She sighed and said helplessly:
"Then you eat."

Then, calling out to the salmon and fish bones, he walked toward the carcass of another wolf.

Before the little bear could eat two bites, Caesar came over again, speaking in a harsh tone:
"I want to eat this one!"

Guo Mi gave him a rather unfriendly look, suppressed her impatience, and moved to another spot with the little bear.

A moment later, the male bear came over again, head held high, hot breath coming from its nostrils, arrogant and domineering:

Guo Mi watched the little bear eat, and after a while, she heard a noise beside her and glanced over without making a sound. She saw Caesar walking briskly around the area, rolling twice on the grass, humming a couple of times, looking quite happy.

"Unpredictable, strange bear."

She looked away and muttered something under her breath.

"what?"

The male bear with pointed ears remained in the rolling position, looking up at her with bright eyes.

Guo Mi pretended not to hear, turned around, and completely turned her back to him.

Caesar didn't ask any further questions, and soon after, he heard him leave.

Guo Mi breathed a sigh of relief, but when she looked down, she inadvertently saw the wolf's gray eyes staring straight at her. Her stomach churned, and she quickly looked away, forcibly suppressing the urge to vomit.

The tall blades of grass parted again, and the male bear that had just left emerged, a broken twig in his mouth with small, yellowish-red berries hanging from it. He placed the twig in front of the fruit-bearing creature.
