Hearing this, the Bodhisattvas, Arhats, and Vajras bowed again and said, "We pay our respects to our Buddha, Mahavairocana Tathagata. We pay our respects to our Buddha, Mahavairocana Tathagata."

After the praises fell, Mahavairocana continued, "Back then, the Guide Buddha responded to the calamity with his own body and destroyed the Dharma bodies of Mara in the world, delaying the Buddha-Devil calamity by a hundred years. Now the hundred years have come, and the Buddha-Devil calamity has begun again. The reincarnation of the Guide Buddha was born in the world eighteen years ago. As for Mara's body in the world."

Having said this, a hint of uncertainty appeared on the face of Vairocana Buddha, but he soon began to calculate the secrets of heaven.

At the same time, Luo Mo had just left Lingtai Mountain and entered the human world.

The divine clues appeared, and Mahavairocana Buddha opened his eyes and said, "As for Mara's body in the world, it has also appeared in the world now." Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva asked, "May I ask my Buddha, since we know that Mara's body in the world has appeared in the world, can we destroy it and avoid the great calamity?"

The Buddha Mahavairocana said: "The devil's calamity is the calamity of the heart. The Buddha's devil is the devil of the heart. Mara's body in the world is just an external image. If the devil of the heart is not destroyed, it will be useless even if the external image is destroyed."

Guanyin Bodhisattva asked: "Is the Buddha saying that if the monks of my Buddhist sect want to survive this catastrophe, they must first eliminate the demons in their hearts?"

The Buddha nodded and said, "Yes, in this great calamity of Buddha and demon, only those saints and monks of our Buddhist sect who can purify their six senses and stick to their Taoism can survive this calamity."

The Peacock King Bodhisattva asked, "May I ask my Buddha, if I cannot hold fast to the Dao, what shall I do?"

Mahavairocana said calmly: "Enter the calamity and reincarnate."

After saying this, Mahavairocana continued, "Bodhisattvas, venerables, arhats, and vajra are all people with great achievements. If they sit in the Dharma field and do not enter the worldly dust, they may be able to avoid the calamity. If they are tempted by worldly desires, they will be burned by the calamity fire, and the Buddhas will not be able to save them."

Just when all the Buddhist saints gathered in Vairocana Temple, Zhuang Yan also received a summons from Emperor Shaoyang of Zifu, ordering him to go to Taixuan Zhenfu to discuss matters.

Zhuang Yan ascended to the first heaven and went straight into the Dongzhen Hall of Taixuan Zhenfu to meet the emperor.

At this time, all the immortal officials above the sixth rank in the human world have arrived, including the two evil and two auspicious gods, the demon-subduing immortal, the Tai Sui god, the masters of each academy, the emissaries from the four continents, and other immortal officials.

Zhuang Yan's position is together with Tieguai Li, Zhongli Quan, Lu Dongbin and He Xiangu, and is in the third echelon of "Demon Subduing Immortals".

Hearing this, everyone immediately became serious and the entire hall immediately became silent.

The next moment, three beams of fairy light descended from the sky and landed on the steps of the Dongzhen Palace. The Emperor of Zifu Shaoyang took his seat first, followed by Emperor Xuandu and Zhenren Wenshi.
