The Great Sun Tathagata glanced at Zhuang Yan, who was standing quietly with his eyes downcast, and then said to the Jade Emperor: "Your Majesty, the eight great Bodhisattvas followed my orders and went to capture the criminal Yuan Ao and his accomplice Hun Huang Jun. However, the eight of them were not strong enough, and were defeated and captured by Lingtai Zhenjun in the battle in the lower world."

After saying this, Mahavairocana bowed to the Jade Emperor and said, "If there is any fault in this matter, it is the fault of this poor monk, not the Eight Great Vidyaraja Bodhisattvas. Therefore, please have mercy on the Eight Great Vidyaraja Bodhisattvas and punish this poor monk."

I will order the True Lord of the Spiritual Platform to release the Eight Great Bright Kings Bodhisattvas."

Upon hearing this, Mahavairocana Buddha bowed with gratitude and said, "Great Heavenly Venerable, you are merciful and magnanimous, impartial and selfless. You are worthy of being the ruler of the three realms and the supreme being of all spirits. I admire you very much and am extremely grateful."

The Jade Emperor smiled slightly and said, "Great Sun Buddha, you are too kind." Then the Jade Emperor called out, "Spiritual Lord."

All this happened too suddenly, and the gods and immortal officials felt sad. Upon hearing this, they hurriedly bowed and said: "Your Majesty, we will obey your majesty's order."

The Jade Emperor nodded and said in a deep voice: "Alas, I regarded Lingtai Zhenjun as my right-hand man, but I didn't expect that he would disappoint me like this. I am really heartbroken."

At this time, General Lei Wei of the Thunder Department came to the court and said, "Your Majesty, we have been ordered to impose various punishments on Lingtai Zhenjun, but Lingtai Zhenjun cannot be destroyed by lightning or fire, cannot be chopped by knives or axes, cannot be stabbed by spears or swords, cannot be cut into pieces by thousands of knives, and cannot be fried by oil or fire."

This is clearly a sign that the Heavenly Majesty is not established and the Heavenly Law is not clear. Therefore, I have captured the Eight Great Bodhisattvas this time to warn and deter all the holy immortals and Buddhas in the Three Realms, and tell them that the Heavenly Majesty cannot be violated."

Upon hearing this, the Jade Emperor immediately looked at Zhuang Yan with admiration and said with a smile: "Very good, this move is very much to my liking."

After saying this, the Jade Emperor glanced at the wooden statues of the Eight Great Bodhisattvas and continued, "Anyway, I have given you all my treasures. Now that the desk is empty, why not ask the Eight Great Bodhisattvas to guard this desk for me for a while? What do you think?"

Zhuang Yan smiled in his heart. It was obvious that the Jade Emperor wanted to display the sculptures of the Eight Great Bodhisattvas as figurines for a few days.

Taibai Jinxing and the four great celestial masters did not speak, but Zhuang Yan said without hesitation: "I think this is very appropriate."

The Jade Emperor smiled and said, "That's it."
