"It's moving!" Marshal Pang said excitedly.

Everyone looked over in a hurry, and sure enough, the pottery jar began to shake, but Marshal Guan said, "It's only the pottery jar that's moving, the seal is not damaged."

After a moment, the power of the Emperor-Shaking Bell dissipated, but the seal on the pottery jar was still intact. A few sighs were heard again in the hall.

At this moment, Nezha in the back said to the Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King: "Father, lend me your pagoda."

The Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King immediately hid the pagoda in his arms, then looked at Nezha warily and asked, "Why do you say that, my son?"

Nezha said: "If the pagoda and my weapons work together, I will be able to break the seal!"

The Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King held the pagoda tighter and said, "Even Tian Peng Zhen Jun can't break the seal, so what good will one more pagoda do? Let's think of another way."

Just when everyone was at a loss, suddenly a ray of fairy light flew into the Dongzhen Palace, revealing an old fairy wearing a white robe, with white hair and a youthful face, and an immortal demeanor.

"Taibai Jinxing?" Marshal Wen looked at the suddenly appeared Taibai Jinxing and asked, "Why are you here?"

Upon hearing this, everyone looked towards Taibai Jinxing, who waved his whisk. He was a little surprised to see so many people here, but he immediately said, "Your Majesty has ordered that the Grand Envoy of Taixuandu Province, the Supreme Minister of the Human World, and the Western Xukongzang Bodhisattva go to the Lingxiao Palace of Daluo Heaven to meet with the emperor immediately."

Upon hearing the decree, the people whose names were called looked solemn, and immediately stepped forward and bowed, saying, "Your subjects shall obey the decree."

As Taibai Jinxing turned and left, Emperor Wenchang only said to the people in the Thunder Department: "Thank you for your hard work, please go back first."

All the people from the Thunder Tribe bid farewell to Emperor Wenchang and turned to leave. Only Nezha was still obsessed with the pottery jar and wanted to take it with him before leaving.

But Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva was quick to act when he saw the situation, and immediately used his method of illusion and reality to get the clay jar in his hands in advance.

Seeing this, Nezha reluctantly followed everyone away.

However, when Emperor Wenchang and others arrived outside the Lingxiao Palace, Taibai Jinxing entered the palace to report.

Not long after, Taibai Jinxing walked out of the palace again and said to the people waiting outside: "Your Majesty summons you."

Everyone immediately straightened their clothes and appearance, and then followed Taibai Jinxing into the Lingxiao Palace.

There were not many immortals in the Lingxiao Palace at that time. After everyone came forward to pay their respects, they saw that only Taishang Laojun and Houtu Emperor were in the entire Lingxiao Palace.

Then everyone first paid homage to the Great Emperor Hou Tu, and then bowed to the Jade Emperor Lao Zi.

Then the Jade Emperor first asked Akasagarbha Bodhisattva: "Bodhisattva, has your mount Garuda returned to the mountain?"

Upon hearing this, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva immediately understood that the Jade Emperor knew everything, so he quickly stepped forward, folded his hands and bowed, saying, "I was just about to ask for forgiveness from the Jade Emperor."

Then Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva said: "I neglected to discipline the beast, causing it to descend to the lower world as a demon, feeding on the blood of living beings and harming all living things. Although it has been sealed in this pottery jar by the Lingtai Mountain God, its sins have not been forgiven. Garuda is my mount, so I also bear the unshirkable responsibility for his crimes. Please, Great Heavenly Venerable, have mercy on him and punish him."

The Jade Emperor nodded and said, "The crimes of Garuda have been reported to me by Hou Tu Emperor. They are indeed extremely evil. Although the Bodhisattva made an unintentional mistake, he was also negligent. Heaven is fair. Those who have made contributions will be rewarded and those who have made mistakes will be punished. However, the Bodhisattva has saved all living beings and has infinite merits. It is impossible to punish him with physical and verbal punishment to reduce his merits by 100,000. He should dedicate them to the lives that were harmed by Garuda to make up for his sins."

The Jade Emperor spoke with such force that the golden light of merit on the merit wheel behind Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva was visibly reduced. Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva was full of sincerity and respect, and bowed and said, "I thank you, great celestial being, for your mercy."

Then the Jade Emperor said, "As for Garuda, he will be immediately escorted to the Thunder Department's Demon Slaying Platform to be beheaded. His soul will be sent into reincarnation. After ten reincarnations and a thousand years of cultivation, he will return to the Bodhisattva's seat and become an immortal."

Hearing this, all the gods and immortals in the hall were not surprised at all. The Jade Emperor holds the way of heaven and commands the three realms, gods, Buddhas, immortals and demons. His words are the laws of heaven.

Similarly, no matter how serious the crime committed by the gods, Taoists, or Buddhas is, as long as it does not bring the matter to the attention of the Jade Emperor, the crime can be forgiven.

But if the matter is brought to the attention of the Jade Emperor, even the smallest crime will be punished severely and fairly according to the laws of heaven, because the position of the Jade Emperor must be like the laws of heaven, impartial and selfless.

Fortunately, although it is a severe punishment, Garuda can return to the immortal way after ten lives, and a thousand years for a Bodhisattva is just a moment of smiling and picking up a flower.

At this time, Emperor Wenchang bowed and said, "Your Majesty, Garuda was sealed in a pottery jar by the Lingtai Mountain God. The seal imposed by the Lingtai Mountain God is extremely powerful. Bodhisattvas, immortal ministers, thunder marshals, and heavenly generals have tried their best but failed to break it. I am afraid that he cannot be sent to the Demon Slaying Platform to be beheaded."

Upon hearing this, the Jade Emperor smiled at Taishang Laojun and said, "Laojun, you have a good eye. Even the person you casually recommended has such magical powers."

Upon hearing this, Taishang Laojun bowed and said, "It is thanks to the great Heavenly Venerable's mercy that he governs the three realms and prospers the Zhoutian that heroes are sent from heaven to assist the great Heavenly Venerable. I am only following the will of heaven."

“Hahaha.” The Jade Emperor laughed loudly, and then said to the immortals, “You just need to send the pottery jar to the demon-slaying platform, and then we will find a solution.”

After that, the Jade Emperor issued an edict to execute Garuda, saying: "Shangqing Dongzhen, you will take my edict and send Garuda to the Demon Slaying Platform with Akasagarbha Bodhisattva, while Emperor Wenchang will stay behind."

"I will follow the command of the Great Heavenly Venerable and take my leave." Emperor Shaoyang and Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha bowed and said goodbye, then took their leave and left.

After Shaoyang Emperor and Xukongzang Bodhisattva left, the Jade Emperor ordered Taibai Jinxing to deliver a stack of memorials to Wenchang Emperor, saying, "This is the memorial submitted by Hou Tu Emperor just now, in which the land gods under Lingtai Mountain praised the Lingtai Mountain God for his merits."

Upon hearing this, Emperor Wenchang immediately took the memorial and opened it to read it carefully. After a while, Emperor Wenchang bowed and said, "Your Majesty, even though the Lingtai Mountain God has extremely powerful magical powers, he has captured Garuda this time, which will inevitably cause dissatisfaction among the Buddhists. If we reward him more, I am afraid that some people in the Buddhist community will be jealous of him. For such a pillar of talent, I think it is better to record his merits first, and reward him when he makes more achievements in the future."

The Jade Emperor said calmly: "Since he has made contributions, he should be promoted and rewarded. If he is not rewarded, will he not be hated by others? Not rewarding means protection. Does it mean that he cannot be protected after being rewarded? I will punish the guilty and will not mistreat the meritorious officials. The immortal officials in the heavenly court are my wings. If I treat them badly, they will fall soon."

Upon hearing this, Emperor Wenchang looked ashamed and bowed, saying, "I will accept your instruction."

Then the Jade Emperor issued an edict: "Pass on my decree. The Lingtai Mountain God has been loyal and dedicated to his duties, protecting the area. He is a righteous god and a virtuous official. He has made great contributions in capturing demons and saving lives. I hereby promote him to the seventh rank of Xiayuan Immortal Official, and he will remain the Lingtai Mountain God. I will also assign the three thousand miles of mountains, rivers and land veins in Xiniuhezhou and Guangci Prefecture to the Lingtai Mountain God to rule over him to honor his merits."

Emperor Wenchang bowed and sang: "I will obey your order."

On this side, Emperor Wenchang received the imperial edict, and on the other side, Emperor Shaoyang and Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, accompanied by General Yunlei of the Eight Directions of the Thunder Department, had already delivered the pottery jar that sealed Garuda to the demon-slaying platform.

However, the pottery jar was placed on the demon-slaying platform, and there was no sign of the seal being lifted. However, Emperor Shaoyang still read out the decree to execute the criminal.

However, after the decree was read out, the seal on the pottery jar disappeared by itself, and then the pottery jar shattered, and Garuda, covered in blood, immediately escaped from the pottery jar.

As soon as Garuda came out of the pottery jar, he immediately looked around. When he saw Akasagarbha Bodhisattva, he immediately said with surprise, "Bodhisattva!" Then he bowed and said, "Thank you, Bodhisattva, for saving my life."

Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha's face darkened and he scolded, "You evil creature, you have descended to the mortal world as a demon and have harmed living beings. The Jade Emperor has issued a decree to take you to the Demon Slaying Platform for execution. You will return to the immortal path after ten lives. If you still have a trace of kindness in your heart, you should practice Buddhism and do good deeds in the next ten lives. I can help you enter the Tao. You should take care of yourself."

Hearing this, Garuda was stunned at first, then he reacted suddenly. He looked up and immediately saw that he was indeed standing on a golden platform full of torture instruments.

Garuda panicked and immediately struggled to get up and try to escape, shouting, "Buddha, I am innocent!"

But Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva directly shot out a beam of Buddha light, locked Garuda on the demon-slaying platform, and said: "Evil beast, don't quibble, remember my words, practice well in your past lives, and go!"

After saying that, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva took a step back. At this time, General Bafang Yunlei walked up to the demon-slaying platform, used his divine power to summon the thunder and lightning sword, and at a command, the thunder and lightning sword fell down. Garuda's head immediately fell to the ground and he died on the demon-slaying platform. His soul was directly absorbed into the underworld by a ray of divine light.

The Bodhisattva Akasagarbha looked at the headless Garuda, clasped his hands together, and said with compassion, "Amitabha."
