Chapter 72: 71: The mystery of life experience, the cause of blood debt [Second update]

No accidents.

Ian went back to the common room to hide the box in the suitcase, and then cast a concealment spell on the suitcase, completely missing the entire dinner time at Hogwarts.

A cold wind was blowing outside the castle.

Ian was not the kind of little wizard who would choose to starve, and the kitchen directly below the auditorium could completely solve the problem, but he still chose to take a detour to the basement of the castle.

"Dong dong!"

Ian found his destination and knocked on the door.

No one responded.

"It's me, Professor Snape. I'm Ian, the first place student you personally chose in today's Potions class." Ian raised his voice and shouted towards the office inside the door.

"Click~"

After a while.

The office door was opened.

Snape, with disheveled hair and a blank expression, stood at the door.

Behind him was a room that was almost as messy as his appearance. It was shaped like three huge hemispheres locked together, and the shelves along the wall were filled with various glass jars.

"Prince, bedtime is almost here. If you don't want to be caught and put in solitary confinement by me, the only place you can appear now is the Ravenclaw common room." The old bat emphasized the word "Ravenclaw", and while he was sarcastic, he also had a hint of resentment that he could not let go.

"Can detention teach me new things? Things that can't be learned from textbooks." Ian looked up at Snape's green eyes in front of him, full of anticipation.

"..."

The corner of Snape's eye twitched. "If you can't correct your attitude towards potions, you will never learn real skills from me."

His voice was as cold as ever.

"Then I'll apologize now and straighten my attitude." Ian realized that there was a surprise in Snape's words, and immediately stood outside the door, bending vertically 90 degrees, and maintained the posture for several minutes.

This is the shock that comes from the spirit of craftsmanship.

Snape opened his mouth with a strange expression, but couldn't find any words to say. He looked at Ian repeatedly, his eyes with mixed emotions twitching slightly.

"If this is why you came here." Snape turned and walked into the house, opened the drawer of his desk, and took out a black book that looked very old.

"Take it and get away from my office immediately." He threw the old book to Ian who followed him in, and spoke in a very stiff tone.

"This book was originally intended for another purpose, but you have now taken it away in such a shameless way. Therefore, you will receive a different test paper from other little wizards at the end of the semester."

"If you don't satisfy me... humph." Snape used enough blank space to create tension, but he didn't see the effect he wanted on Ian.

"Who is the Half-Blood Prince?" Ian caught the "Advanced Potion-Making" thrown to him by Snape, and he saw a small line of words in a prominent position on the back cover.

Is this the one that Harry Potter got?
Ian's question in mock surprise made Snape's face turn red visibly.

"That's half-blood Prince, idiot!"

Snape rushed over aggressively, snatched the black book from Ian's hand, and used the feather pen on the desk to roughly erase the words on the back cover of the book.

"I thought you would be much smarter than your bastard father!" After checking again and again and finding no trace of handwriting, Snape savagely stuffed "Advanced Potion Making" back into Ian's hands.

"Is it my father's?"

Ian asked knowingly.

He had actually been guessing about the relationship between himself and Snape all along, and now the answer seemed to have been completely revealed before his eyes in an abrupt way that he had never expected.

It turned out to be the case.

As expected...it is so.

Ian's guess was finally confirmed. All along, some things were just castles in the air before there was evidence.

"Tsk tsk, your father's troll head can only recite from the same script as yours. This is one of my collections, from an outstanding potion master of a certain generation in your family." Snape obviously underestimated the amount of information Ian had, and he secretly smuggled the private goods in front of Ian without blushing or beating his heart.

"Then professor, didn't you just destroy the signature of a master?" Ian's sudden remark made Snape, who had a sarcastic face, speechless for a moment.

"I am better than him, so I am naturally qualified."

A very far-fetched reason.

Ian pretended to believe it. "If you spent more time in the library instead of discussing the making of dangerous objects with some little wizards, you would understand what kind of family you were born into."

Snape wanted to change the subject, and he once again resumed his slow and sarcastic attitude, with a hint of disappointment in his tone.

"I borrowed the 'Hogwarts Student Diary', but I haven't had time to look through it yet." Ian confirmed from Snape's words that Snape was not his father.

"Is there anyone alive in our family?"

He suddenly spoke in a low voice, causing Snape's expression to freeze slightly.

"If so, do you think you would still be in the orphanage?" Snape's expression was a little unnatural, and his eyes avoided Ian's light green eyes.

"Who did it?"

Ian actually has no memory of his parents in this life, but that doesn't mean he can turn a blind eye to it. After all, someone needs to take responsibility for the revenge of the family's annihilation.

"Do what you should do and study the textbooks you should study." Snape did not answer Ian's question, but tried to drag Ian out of his office.

"and many more!"

Ian held the door against Snape's attempt to close it.

"I have answered many questions for you. Are you still not satisfied, Mr. Nosy Man?" Snape looked down at Ian outside the door, his attitude even colder than at the beginning.

"Actually, I'm here to pay you back." Ian said as he took out a large bag of gold coins from his trouser pocket and stuffed it into Snape's hand in the face of Snape's extremely surprised look.

"You sold the Felicis Felix?" This was the only possibility Snape could think of with such a huge sum of money. He felt that selling the Felicis Felix was a stupid thing that Ian could do.

Snape stared at Ian.

Even though he saw Ian shaking his head in denial, his angry eyes were full of disbelief.

"I'm not that stupid." In order to avoid being hated by Snape, Ian had no choice but to show his trouser pockets and several small pockets on the inside of his robe.

There are quite a few gold coins sparkling inside.

"I found the secret treasure of Hogwarts and achieved positive growth in my personal wealth." Ian lowered his voice. Snape's face inside the door was full of disbelief.

Can you find hidden gold coins in Hogwarts?

Why didn't he know?
"I will ask someone carefully. If I find out that you have committed shameful theft or used magic to threaten other young wizards to hand over all the gold coins on them to you, I will personally send you to Azkaban for imprisonment. You should have been there long ago." I don't know what kind of image Ian has in Snape's mind.

"Do you understand the romantic legacy of the medieval treasure hunting craze? How can you call it stealing if you find treasure and gold coins?" Ian had the urge to jump up and hit Snape on the head.

"It better be this way."

Snape wanted to hand the purse back to Ian, but Ian dodged it by jumping back slightly. He sneered disdainfully and threw the purse to Ian with a look of contempt.

"Do you think I care about these little things?"

The potion master's confidence was indeed extraordinary, and his inhumane attitude regarded money as dirt. Little did he know that Ian had already summed up practical experience in dealing with a character like him.

"You want to do me a favor for just a few dollars? You're dreaming." Ian rolled the purse from under Snape's crotch into the office. His words made the veins on Snape's forehead tense.

"Get out of here!"

Snape, furious, slammed the door shut.

After a few seconds.

There was a gap in the door, and the book "Advanced Potion Making" that had accidentally fallen to the ground when Snape lifted Ian up roughly due to hunger was thrown out.

"Oh!"

The door was shut even harder.

"Potion family?"

Ian sighed softly, his expression restrained, and he calmly picked up the precious book on the ground. He just stood there, staring at the place that was completely erased by Snape.
"Was it Voldemort who murdered my family after I was born, or...?" He recalled Snape's unnatural words and deeds many times just now.

"My only remaining uncle."

An empty corridor with no one in it.

Unable to respond to the whispers in the little wizard's heart.
