Chapter 169 Awakening
Jiang Yuning found a chair and sat down. She stared at Fu Xicheng's face, recalling the thrilling scene that had happened today. She bit her lip and couldn't help but shed tears again.

Fu Xicheng always managed to make her cry. She had cried countless times in her life, all because of Fu Xicheng.

Jiang Yuning was deep in thought, recalling the time she spent with Fu Xicheng, the sweet and peaceful memories as if they were yesterday.

Even though she was kidnapped because of Fu Xicheng, she didn't regret it.

Even if there are difficulties and obstacles ahead, she will stay with Fu Xicheng.

Jiang Yuning was filled with thoughts. She took Fu Xicheng's hand and lowered her head to kiss his lips.

She whispered close to his ear, "Fu Xicheng, when you wake up, you can kiss me however you want. I'll let you kiss me as much as you want, and I won't hit you anymore."

"Fu Xicheng, I hope you can get a good night's sleep tonight and wake up tomorrow morning."

Jiang Yuning spoke a lot to Fu Xicheng's sickly face, and gradually, drowsiness overcame her, and she closed her eyes.

As the first rays of sunlight streamed in the morning, Jiang Yuning was still lying on the bed, fast asleep.

The sudden noise shattered the silence of the room, jolting Jiang Yuning awake from her dream.

She looked up and found that the man on the bed was already awake.

A hint of surprise flashed in her eyes. "Fu Xicheng, you're finally awake."

Fu Xicheng's throat was terribly dry, and he said in a hoarse voice, "Ningning, could you get me a glass of water?"

Jiang Yuning nodded immediately, her eagerness revealing boundless concern, "I'll go right now."

She stood up, and just as she reached the door, she remembered that there was a water dispenser in Fu Xicheng's room.

She turned back, took a cup, and poured him a glass of warm water.

"Fu Xicheng, here you go."

Fu Xicheng took the water and felt the warmth from his palm. After drinking a glass of water, he said, "Ningning, you don't actually need to stay here with me. I know my own physical condition."

Jiang Yuning's eyes welled up with tears. "Fu Xicheng, I feel so sorry for you, you know? You lost so much blood yesterday, I was so scared."

"What are you afraid of? Are you afraid I'll die?"

Jiang Yuning immediately covered Fu Xicheng's mouth with her hand, her eyes carrying a hint of warning, "Don't talk nonsense to me, my boyfriend will definitely be safe and sound."

Their eyes met, as if they had traversed thousands of miles.

Fu Xicheng lightly bit Jiang Yuning's palm, his words tinged with a hint of teasing, "Loosen your grip a bit, do you want me to have trouble breathing?"

Fu Xicheng is currently injured, and Jiang Yuning prioritizes his well-being, daring not to do anything inappropriate to him.

"I'll go downstairs and make you some porridge. What would you like to eat? I'll make it right now."

Fu Xicheng held her hand. He hadn't seen Jiang Yuning for several days, and he didn't want her to do anything else.

"The cook can do the cooking, Ningning. I want you to stay here with me a little longer."

Jiang Yuning nodded in agreement. She had a lot to say to Fu Xicheng. She wanted to tell him that she couldn't live without him.

Fu Xicheng patted the spot next to him, gesturing for Jiang Yuning to come up quickly. "Ningning, you've been lying by my bedside watching over me all night, you must be exhausted."

Jiang Yuning shook her head. She was worried that if she got into bed, she might accidentally touch Fu Xicheng's wound. His injuries were serious, and she had to be careful.

"Fu Xicheng, I dare not go to bed with you."

Jiang Yuning didn't want to upset Fu Xicheng, so she wanted to go along with him in everything. She took off her shoes and carefully climbed into his bed.

She leaned against the headboard, trying to keep her distance from him to avoid accidentally touching his wound.

She turned to the side and said, "Fu Xicheng, don't be so reckless in the future. I've been kidnapped. You can call the police and let them come and rescue me."

Fu Xicheng considered things much more thoroughly than others.

“I was worried that by the time the police arrived, it would be too late, and the kidnappers would have already killed the hostage.”

"Ningning, the best news is that you are safe and sound."

Jiang Yuning pinched her aching brow. So much had happened yesterday that she could hardly believe she had actually experienced it.

She originally thought she would live a plain and uneventful life until she met Fu Xicheng, and she went through a lot with him.

She parted her lips slightly and said, "Fu Xicheng, come to my house to propose marriage on my father's birthday."

Xu Yansheng said, "The man who kidnapped Miss Jiang is named Shi Tianyi. He is Shi Zijing's illegitimate son. He has lived abroad since birth and only recently returned to China."
