Chapter 625 Doraemon's Great Power, Kid
Chapter 625 Doraemon's Great Power, Kid
The giant metal worm, transformed from a space necromancer but now extremely mutated, twisted its slender body, using its claws to cling to the wall of the corridor inside the World Engine, and charged towards Zandrek.
But Zandreek's guard, Obi-Dragon, was faster than this giant metal worm.
The battle blade swung, clashing with the sharp, bladed limbs of the giant metal insect.
Despite the immense weight of the behemoth, Obi-Dragon did not retreat an inch, and even managed to stop the metal giant insect's charge with his own strength.
Blade and claw clashed several times in an instant, blinding sparks and emerald arcs of electricity flying everywhere in the corridor.
The giant metal worm twisted its body violently, using its three pairs of limbs to jam Obi-Dragon's battle blade. Then it raised its head, which barely resembled a space necromancer, and opened its hollow metal maw. The light of the Gauss weapon flickered within, making Obi-Dragon's metal skull gleam.
Bang! ! ! !
Zandrek gently raised the Staff of Light in his hand, and a whistling arc of electricity struck the giant metal insect's head, causing the Gaussian weapon to grazed past Obi-Dragon's body.
Taking advantage of the moment, Obi-Long deflected the metal beetle's weapon, and the sharp blade pierced directly into the head that Zandreek had shot into, leaving it half-damaged.
The giant metal insect's body crashed to the ground, dangling at Obi-Dragon's feet.
Zandreuk looked at the giant metal insect that had once been a space necromancer and sighed softly.
He knew this was the arm of Xerath the Enlightened, the sinner who created biotransformation, a master of both biological modification and the creation of necromantic space.
On his journey to board the World Engine, Zandrek had encountered countless highly distorted space undead.
"Silent King, how can you expect me to believe you?"
"Do you believe that a madman who treats his own kind as experimental subjects and wantonly distorts our bodies can create technology to save our race?"
Zandreuk shook his head slightly and sighed.
A sharp tearing sound suddenly rang out behind Zandreuk.
Space and dimensions were torn apart around Zandrek, revealing a pocket dimension from which emerged a hunched-over space undead with six mechanical legs, six eyes, and six arms, each equipped with a sharp phase blade.
Six phase blades pierced Zandrek from six directions, seemingly about to sever his head.
The phase weapons whistled as a purple figure flashed out, wielding a slender blade like a court sword to block the six phase blades. Then, seizing a brief opening, the figure plunged the phase court sword into the six-eyed metal head.
“It looks somewhat like the Death Seal.” Zandrek said, looking at the fallen, deformed space necromancer. “It is very similar to the Six Seals Destroyer that the Death Seal created after going berserk. It should be the product of Zelast's melee transformation.”
“You seem quite relaxed,” Thor said to Zandreuk as he pulled the phase blade from the metal head. “I hope you’ll be more mindful of your safety, after all, I haven’t avenged myself yet.”
“Thor, your swordsmanship has improved again. Just thinking that our race has a young talent like you makes me not care about dying,” Zandreik said with a smile.
“You’ve gone mad again. I am not a death-fearer—” Thor said, shaking his head.
"When did I say we were afraid of the dead? Aren't we human?"
Zandreuk's emerald eyes flickered playfully a few times:
"You know I have always been a loyal general of the Human Empire. What kind of alien is the Fear of Death?"
Saul was speechless for a moment. He realized that this old guy was truly mad in a flexible, arbitrary, and selective way.
"Tarasin, have you found Xerath's location?" Zandrek turned his head to look in the other direction.
The Endless One, Tarasim, held a staff in one hand and a red circle and a blue cross in the other, gesturing as he spoke.
"Xerath, that fraudster's son, must have a mastermind behind him!"
Tarasin looked at the search cane in his hand, which kept spinning on the ground but never fell over, and said:
"He must be hiding in some pocket dimension, which is why Doraemon's search cane cannot locate his position."
"Moreover, I suspect that his pocket dimension and the room bound to it are constantly moving, making it impossible to locate them all at once."
"I'm trying to hack into the operating system of the world engine to fix the positions of these rooms first."
Tarasin's emerald eyes were flashing, and atop his head was a small pyramid that also emitted an emerald glow.
That was a portable pyramid, an item that could unleash the wearer's potential. Tarachin used it to activate the potential of his logical mind, which was rapidly invading the world engine's operating system.
He was still humming a little tune.
"Those kinds of dreams... I have so many more dreams like that!"
"Make all of them come true for me!"
"Use that magic pocket to grant my wish!"
Zandreuk's guard, Obi-Long, was somewhat confused by this scene.
"Does this really work?" Obi-Long couldn't help but ask. *Crack*
A clear mechanical sound suddenly rang out, and the surrounding walls trembled and shook slightly.
A moment later, the shaking stopped, and the constantly moving room inside the world engine also came to a halt.
“The power of Doraemon, kid,” Tarachin said, glancing at Obi-Long.
While completing the intrusion and suspending the operation of the rooms within the World Engine, Talasi also stole the structural blueprints of the World Engine's interior.
He quickly marked hundreds of locations where Xerath might be hiding.
Then, Tarachin picked up the X and circle in his left hand and spoke at a speed so fast it was almost inaudible.
The crosses kept flying up until, half a minute later, a circle finally flew into the air.
“Here.” A map of the entire world engine quickly appeared in front of Tarasin. He pointed to one of the rooms: “Xerath’s pocket dimension is hidden in this room.”
According to the divination machine's judgment, Xerath is among them.
Upon witnessing this, Zandreik acted almost without hesitation, waving his Phase Cloak behind him. A burst of emerald crystals instantly spread out, enveloping everyone in its light.
Then dimensions and space overlapped, and everyone was dragged into a pocket dimension by Zandrek. Zandrek then manipulated this pocket dimension, connecting it to the pocket dimension where Xerath was located.
Bang! ! !
A series of emerald-green crystal walls blocked their way, preventing Zandreik's pocket dimension from overlapping with Xerath's pocket dimension.
“Xerath used some kind of technology to seal off his pocket dimension, and I have to—” Zandreik had just started to speak when he noticed that Tarasin had suddenly requested to take over his pocket dimension.
Zanderike hesitated for a moment, but still agreed to Tarasin's application.
Then, a hissing sound rang out, and the crystal wall blocking Zandreik's pocket dimension vanished with a bang, leaving Xerath's pocket dimension wide open.
"Haven't you read Shemerch's 'Introduction to Dimensional Mechanics', Volume 69, Chapter 8, Section 179?"
"It explains how to deal with this situation."
Tarasin looked at Zandrek and Obi-Long, the two space necromancers, with a surprised expression and asked.
“I don’t understand these things, I’m just a guard,” Obi-Long said without changing his expression.
“I don’t understand any of this either. I’m just an old madman.” Zander’s eyes flickered.
Tarachin was speechless for a moment. Although he was not very loyal to Shemech, the Dharma Emperor, he always felt that "Introduction to Dimensional Mechanics" was the crystallization of the dimensional technology of the Fearful Dead that every space necromancer should read. Moreover, the pile of "Supplements to Introduction to Dimensional Mechanics" published by Shemech after becoming a space necromancer was a rare technological advancement for space necromancers.
But he didn't say much more here, after all, time waits for no one. The group stepped out of Zandreik's pocket dimension and instantly entered Xerath's pocket dimension.
Thor, the only one with nostrils, instantly covered his nose; the stench of rotting corpses was pouring in.
The corpses included human corpses, Eldar corpses, green-skinned orc corpses, Tau corpses, dwarf corpses, Tyrann corpses, and corpses of various alien races.
These mutilated, dissected corpses were piled together, forming a small hill that reached the very top of the pocket dimension.
"They even preyed on children!!"
Zandreuk knelt down on one knee and looked at a small corpse.
Thor's attention was drawn to Zandreuk's voice, and he looked at the corpse.
“The Star God’s Hook, that’s a space dwarf! An old madman!” Tarasin said speechlessly a moment before Thaul.
The dwarf's corpse had a twisted and terrifying face, as if it had been bound to the High King's low throne before its death, having listened to dwarf jokes for ten thousand years and been laughed to death. It was clear that it had suffered immense torment in its lifetime.
Thor shifted his gaze from the dwarf's corpse to the depths of the mountain of corpses and sea of blood.
In stark contrast to the rotting corpses all around, the core of this pocket dimension was extremely tidy, containing only clean metal floors, operating tables, various experimental instruments, and several massive black stone towers.
The black stone towers were activating, suppressing the surrounding warp forces. Thor could feel the will of Lucius and Tavel within him becoming much weaker.
And among those towering towers stood a rather enormous space undead, resembling a giant spider.
He was none other than Xerath the Enlightened One, the creator of bio-transformation, the commander of the World Engine, and the target of their journey.
"Welcome to my humble laboratory. I am delighted that you have visited my small laboratory. I have made great preparations to entertain you."
Xerath's voice rang out coldly, and a blinding light descended from above his head, within which a burning humanoid figure wailed in agony.
Those are fragments of the Star God that serve as the core of the world's engine.
"You will witness my ascension—wait?"
Two sharp blades, like raven wings, suddenly appeared out of everyone's blind spot and slashed across Xerath's throat.
