Gabriel stared at Lin Bei for a while, then suddenly burst into laughter.

Her loud laughter did not appear rude at all; instead, it made her features more expressive, deeply attracting the surrounding believers.

Looking at Gabriel's radiant demeanor, Lin Bei couldn't help but sigh inwardly, realizing that the world still showed far too much favoritism towards angels.

Look at this! Who could imagine that this archangel, so beloved by humanity, is secretly collaborating with demons to divide the human world into a third force?

Of course, Gabriel had no interest in controlling the world; she merely wanted to use the act of introducing Mammon into the human world to carry out a great cleansing of what she considered a corrupt world.

A person without faith does not deserve to live.

Lin Bei had already seen through Gabriel's thoughts, and he was completely unaffected by Gabriel's angelic aura.

Lin Bei put his hands behind his back and looked at Gabriel calmly: "What are you laughing at? Tell me and we'll laugh together."

Gabriel gradually stopped laughing. She looked at Lin Bei with interest, a slight smile playing on her lips, seemingly in a good mood: "I'm laughing at you for overestimating yourself. You really think killing Balthazar will stop my actions? Aren't you being too naive?"

Gabriel slowly moved forward. She was a head shorter than Lin Bei. When she was very close to Lin Bei, she tiptoed and whispered in his ear, "Balzaza is nothing but a watchdog. Don't compare that kind of mixed-race bastard to us higher beings. Even if you don't kill him, I will have him dealt with once our plan succeeds."

Gabriel took two steps back, widening the distance between himself and Lin Bei, and continued slowly, "Balzaza is just a dispensable thing. Compared to him, killing him doesn't surprise me. What surprises me is that you have the guts to come looking for me."

Gabriel slowly raised his hand, his fingers tracing a line across Lin Bei's chin: "Human, you are quite interesting. But I also want to thank you for bringing me the sacrifice I wanted."

As soon as she finished speaking, a smug expression flashed across Gabriel's face. With a wave of her hand, countless demons emerged from the shadows of the enormous cathedral.

The demons seemed to have been tampered with by Gabriel; even Constantine felt uncomfortable stepping into this place, yet these demons showed no sign of anything amiss.

The demons, their faces fierce, slowly approached Lin Bei and Constantine and Angela at the door, while the surrounding believers were controlled by Gabriel, who manipulated them to leave the church.

Constantine, who had been puffing on his cigarette, saw this and remained seated, instead laughing: "It seems Gabriel isn't someone to be trifled with. As soon as Balthazar was killed, she immediately guessed we would come looking for her and even set up an ambush. If I had come alone, I might have actually been killed by her."

Angela, standing to the side, watched in terror as the demons approached them. "Constantine, what are you saying! Look at the situation! We're in a church, so why are demons allowed in? And they don't seem scared at all. Even you, a human, would feel uncomfortable!"

Constantine maintained his languid posture with his feet propped up on the back of the seat in front of him. He tilted his head back and exhaled a puff of white smoke, waving his hand lazily: "Why can the demons move freely in the church? Of course, it's because Gabriel helped them. Don't worry, Lin Bei is here, let him handle it. Besides, this isn't something we ordinary humans can handle. You, shut up and watch quietly."

Constantine spoke lightly, but Angela, a devout believer in God, could hardly remain calm in this situation.

She instinctively wanted to pray to God, asking for His protection.

But now she was in God's territory, and the demons were able to move freely. This scene deeply impacted Angela's faith, and she couldn't help but begin to doubt whether the faith she had chosen was really right.

Angela clenched her fists, looking ahead with a worried expression.

Beneath the colossal sculpture, Lin Bei and Gabriel stood face to face, surrounded by demons slowly approaching.

Gabriel was still laughing, as if those demons could tear Lin Bei to pieces if they got close.

She couldn't help but move closer to Constantine.

Although this man is very unreliable, we have no choice but to rely on him in this situation.

Constantine noticed Angela's actions, but he didn't say anything. He just flicked the ash from his cigarette, lazily pulled something out of his pocket, and tossed it to Angela.

“Sprinkled around us.”

Angela was stunned for a moment, then looked down at the thing in her arms.

It was a bottle of clear liquid, and it didn't look special at all.

Before Angela could ask, Constantine took a drag of his cigarette and said impatiently, "Hurry up!"

Angela quickly did as she was told. After she sprinkled the water from the bottle around them, forming a circle, she noticed that the demons that had been fiercely approaching them were now standing still outside the circle.

They couldn't cross that circle; they could only watch them with predatory eyes.

Angela's panic subsided a little. She sat back down next to Constantine, holding the empty bottle. "You should have brought out this good stuff sooner. You made me worry for nothing."

Constantine ignored her, only glancing indifferently in Lin Bei's direction.

What he didn't say was that there was only one bottle of this specially concocted holy water, and that the demon would still approach them once the marks on the ground dried.

Now, all Lin Bei hopes for is to deal with all the demons and angels in the church before the holy water on earth dries up.

Constantine lazily watched Lin Bei's back. At this moment, Lin Bei was facing Gabriel, looking at Gabriel with a calm expression.

Even though Lin Bei was surrounded by demons, his calm expression remained unchanged.

Lin Bei's composure naturally stemmed from his own strength, but in Gabriel's eyes, it had a different meaning.

Gabriel had no idea how strong Lin Bei really was; in her eyes, he was just a mortal.

But seeing this mortal so calm, Gabriel had to admit that she was somewhat impressed with Lin Bei.

Anyone else, even Constantine, standing here surrounded by demons, would also show a solemn expression.

The more indifferent Lin Bei was, the more interested Gabriel became in him.

In Gabriel's eyes, humanity is incredibly fragile, both mentally and physically.

With just a little force, poor humans would be torn to pieces, no different from rag dolls. Not to mention their minds, they are so easily convinced of other species. With just a little divine power or other strength, humans would bow down and kneel to beg for blessings.

But now, there is a human standing in front of Gabriel.

He was neither favored nor influenced by any faith. Gabriel could see that he was powerful, powerful enough to believe only in himself, powerful enough to disrespect God and fear no Satan.

Gabriel stroked her chin, now eagerly anticipating what this human would do next.

Thinking this, Gabriel snapped his fingers and commanded the surrounding demons: "Whoever can kill this human, I will grant you the power from Satan on behalf of that person."

This statement immediately caused an uproar among the demons.

It is important to know that if a demon were to merge with the power of Satan, it would transcend its current rank and become a high-ranking demon.

That's something they couldn't achieve even with their own efforts over thousands of years.

Hearing Gabriel say this, the demons were naturally excited, and the fact that it came from Gabriel, the archangel who had betrayed God, made it even more credible. In an instant, the once sacred and quiet church was filled with the excited shouts of the demons.

Without further hesitation, the demons transformed into their demonic forms and pounced on Lin Bei.

Lin Bei glanced indifferently at the group of ferocious demons, then raised his hand and unleashed the power of the Shadow Monarch.

Black liquid surged from beneath his feet as Lin Bei summoned Riot, Massacre, Ao Run, and Medusa.

"Kill them all."

The four words "light and airy" reached the ears of the four people. The four servants nodded slightly, transformed into different colored dark lights, and quickly disappeared into the group of demons.

Just as four different colored dark lights weaved through the demons, screams erupted from the previously excited demon horde, which then descended into chaos, leaving them no time to search for Lin Bei.

Several demons who were charging ahead reached Lin Bei, but before they could make a move, Lin Bei slightly raised his hand, and a gust of wind swept by, sending those demons flying and crashing heavily into the demon horde behind them.

The cathedral was in complete chaos, and Gabriel's smile gradually faded.

She looked coldly at Lin Bei, finally seeing something in him that she didn't know before.

The power Lin Bei just used was definitely not a sacred power; on the contrary, it contained a dark aura.

But that's what's strange about it.

That is not a power belonging to hell.

From this perspective, could Lin Bei be some kind of third-party force?

That shouldn't be done.

She had long understood this world and knew that there was no such thing as a third-party force, which was why she wanted to join forces with Mammon.

Since the demon can't deal with Lin Bei, then they have no choice but to take matters into their own hands.

Gabriel took a deep breath, raised her head slightly, and spread her hands. A holy power emanated from her body, and a white light enveloped her, centered on Gabriel.

Six enormous, pure white wings extended from behind the ball of light, completely enveloping it.

When the blinding white light almost enveloped the entire church, a loud "bang" was heard, and six pure white wings suddenly unfolded, radiating white light over everyone present, including the demons.

The demons were fighting Lin Bei's servants when they were suddenly radiated by this holy white light, and large and small burns appeared on their bodies.

The demons screamed in agony, the holy light Gabriel emitted causing them far greater pain than the four black humanoid monsters that appeared and disappeared without a trace.

Constantine and Angela, sitting in chairs in the distance, were also radiated by the white light.

Constantine coughed twice, cursing as he took the cigarette out of his mouth: "They're fucking crazy. These angels have this bad habit of attacking people with holy light at the drop of a hat. Have they ever considered how we onlookers feel?"

Angela was the only one present who did not perceive pain from the holy white light.

She clasped her hands together over her heart, bathed in the holy light with a look of bliss: "Ah, is this the light from heaven? I feel all the filth and impurity within me have been washed away, and all the pain and sorrow in my heart have been cleansed. Great Father..."

Before she could finish her sentimental remarks, Constantine slapped Angela's mouth shut, saying impatiently, "Shut up, believer! God can't hear your praises now; Gabriel has blocked it all out here!"

While Constantine was trying to calm Angela down, Lin Bei let the white light shine on him without feeling a thing.

There was no burning pain, nor a gentle breeze, just light, nothing more.

When the white light disappeared, Gabriel had already transformed back into his angel form.

Her white suit transformed into a tight-fitting outfit wrapped in white bandages, her hands were adorned with numerous light blue bracelets, and six enormous, pure white wings enveloped her at the center. Her face was expressionless, gazing calmly at Lin Bei before her.

Her short, light blonde hair moved without wind, and she looked twice as big as she had in human form. She looked down at Lin Bei with the coldness in her eyes, as if she were looking at an ant.

"Human, standing before you is the Archangel Gabriel. I will judge you in place of God. All sinners shall not enter Heaven. When you are branded as a sinner, you will fall directly into Hell and suffer eternal torment from the fires of Hell."

With that, Gabriel flapped his wings and flew into the air above the church.

Lin Bei looked up at Gabriel and had to admit that Gabriel was quite handsome. No wonder people say there are no ugly angels in heaven; they probably all look just as good as Gabriel.

Lin Bei watched as Gabriel pulled a sword radiating holy light from the void. He remained calm and even smiled as he spoke.

“Gabriel, Gabriel, even God is not worthy to judge me, so what right do you have to judge me? Even if you can brand me a sinner, do you think hell is capable of accepting my arrival?”

Unfortunately, Gabriel didn't listen to Lin Bei at all.

She gripped the Holy Sword expressionlessly, holding the hilt with both hands, and pointed the tip of the sword at Lin Bei at her feet.

As a faint white light emanated from Gabriel's body, countless chants suddenly resounded in the church. Gabriel took a deep breath and forcefully thrust the Holy Sword towards Lin Bei.

Just as the sword tip touched Lin Bei's forehead, a golden lightning bolt spread out from the sword tip, turning into countless spikes that pierced towards Lin Bei.

The golden lightning was supposed to penetrate Lin Bei's body and then pierce through his entire body, burning his internal organs and leaving countless dense, spiderweb-like dark red marks on his skin.

This is Gabriel's method of trial.

As for whether the person on trial is guilty or not, only Gabriel can decide.

Unfortunately, if it were anyone else, Gabriel would have successfully tried them.

Lin Bei refused to accept Gabriel's trial.

He looked at the golden light so close to his eyes, chuckled, and uttered a single sentence.

"The 81st of the Binding Path, Severing the Void."

As soon as he finished speaking, an invisible wall appeared in front of Lin Bei.

The golden lightning that was supposed to have entered Lin Bei's body was blocked outside the invisible wall, along with the tip of the sword.

That wasn't all. The golden lightning struck the broken sky heavily, but bounced back, heading straight for Gabriel. (End of Chapter)
