Chapter 502: Lion Rat, Discussing Buddhism

Chapter 502: Lion Rat, Discussing Buddhism
When cause and effect are transformed into reality, they need a carrier to nurture them.

Take the green-maned white lion as an example. The general way to cultivate the cause and condition is to find a fierce lion and plant the green-maned white lion into it. In this way, the stronger the lion is, the better the cause and condition will be cultivated, which can feed back to one's own Buddhist teachings.

The unusual body of Yangyuan is a different species among lions, or a dragon-lion spirit like Suanni.

This type of body that nurtures causes and conditions can naturally nurture causes and conditions better, and transform causes and conditions into reality more quickly, allowing Ji Ming to further obtain other causes and conditions.

In front of the Buddha stele, Ji Ming transformed into a child and sat on the ground with his legs crossed, which was the perfect cross-legged sitting position. This sitting position is the most stable and will not make your spirit tired.

It is difficult for ordinary Buddhist disciples to sit for a long time using this method when they first practice the "body secret". However, Ji Ming has already mastered this kind of sitting method very well. He has been sitting in this way for many years when practicing the body.

After all, he was at the fourth level of the Golden Core Realm, so even though it was his first time practicing Buddhism, he was already gaining a great advantage invisibly.

Now that the conditions are right, looking at the Buddhist stele again, some of the symbols recorded on the stele and deeper levels appear alternately. Among them, the wheel-shaped symbol is the most obvious, and it is deeply engraved in the inner scene of the deity.

The deity interprets the talisman and then transmits it into the mind bit by bit, without the need for any rituals. This is the wonder of Buddhism.

Ji Ming realized the wonderful method of the deity to interpret the talismans, and felt a great sense of novelty in his heart. He became more interested in the huge behemoth of Buddhism. Finally, the deity interpreted a Buddhist method called "Avici Two Qi".

When Ji Ming was meditating, he heard the footsteps of the Ku Ma Patriarch behind him. The Patriarch did not deliberately hide his footsteps, as if he was reminding Ji Ming that he had arrived.

"Have you understood?"

The old ancestor raised his eyebrows, glanced at Ji Ming, and asked while looking at the Buddhist stele.

Ji Ming sat cross-legged on the ground, formed the "Wealth-Gathering Seal" with his hands, and said to the Ku Ma Patriarch: "My disciple has obtained a deity."

"Which deity?"

The old ancestor asked subconsciously, and then his brows frowned.

He had not expected that this new disciple actually possessed a karmic affinity with Buddhism. His natural talent was truly astonishing, and the resentment in his heart caused by the new disciple's disobedience was instantly mostly dispelled.

"The King of Treasures."

Ji Ming replied.

"Haha, good disciple, you didn't disappoint the ancestor.

This Treasure King belongs to the Dharma lineage of the main deity in the "Baofa Temple" under the Southern Lineage Buddha. You have picked up a great bargain."

The Ku Ma Patriarch clapped his hands and laughed, looking extremely happy, with even more kindness in his eyes. He said in a suggestive tone: "The future of Qingzhen Temple needs disciples like you to take the lead. You must be prepared."

In the old ancestor's mind, he was already thinking about how to use Chi Shen Zi to influence the monks of Baofa Temple so that they could be used for his own purposes.

"Master, I'm not interested in Qingzhen Temple."

Ji Ming said in a calm and serious tone.

"Good, good, good."

The old man Ku Ma praised him repeatedly, saying: "Your mind is free from external things, and you are truly a role model for cultivators in the mountains. If your elder brother had your broad mind, he would have been able to refine a top-grade golden elixir and wouldn't have to suffer through "removing lead and adding mercury."

"Okay, your great-grandmaster is about to travel to the spiritual realm, so he won't have time to take care of us in the Immortal Palace. Follow me back to the Immortal Peak."

Old Ancestor Ku Ma was afraid that the Son of Chi would say something that would make him angry again, so he explained the current information to him and hurriedly took him back on the Jiaoduan.

At the foot of the Bu Lao Peak, Ji Ming was assigned by the ancestor to a quiet house in the cave, where he was shown great concern and care.

During the first few days, they discussed Buddhism, the ratio of daily supplies, the situation of Qingzhen Temple on the peak, and the Bulao Peak at the foot of the peak. Patriarch Ku Ma acted like a good master.

The more Master Ku Ma acted like this, the more Ji Ming became irritated, which made the master lose interest and he had no choice but to call for an old and senior disciple in the temple to temporarily serve as Ji Ming's guide in Buddhist practice.

This registered disciple is an old fox demon. Back then, he went up the mountain to learn magic with the ancestor's fourth disciple, Kong You Zhangren. He is a fox student in the same fox society as Kong You Zhangren.

Ever since Master Kong You went to work at the Heavenly Fox Academy, this old fox demon has been staying at the Bulao Peak and built his own fox society in the mountains. He usually recruits wild foxes from nearby and has accumulated some reputation. Even the century-old fox families in the mountains send their disciples here to study.

After receiving the order from the ancestor, the old fox demon did not dare to delay at all and came over with a cane.

Entering the Thousand Flower Cave and walking outside the temple, the old fox demon chanted Namo and bowed tremblingly outside the temple, "Hu Laixi from the Fox Society of Baibao Mountain, greets the young master Chi Shen of the Thousand Flower Cave of Qingzhen Temple on the Bulao Peak." "Hu Laixi?"

"Yes."

The old fox demon rested his staff and stroked his beard, saying, "The ancestor specially ordered me to come here to teach the young master Buddhism."

The door of the monastery was wide open, and a huge snow-white lion with green mane was lying behind the door. Hu Laixi's heart skipped a beat, but before he could react, he was called in by a voice from the monastery. He did not resist at all and just wanted to obey the voice.

"Do you have karma?"

Jiming asked.

"How can a little fox have such good fortune?" Hu Laixi wiped the sweat off his forehead and replied carefully: "Although the little fox does not have the karma and cannot obtain the original Buddha, but by visualizing the Buddha statue for a long time, a shadow of the original Buddha's Dharma can be left in the heart."

"This is like fishing for the moon in the water!"

Hearing the old fox demon's words, Ji Ming was surprised.

“No, no, no.” Hu Laixi waved his hands and said, “Although I cannot attain the ‘Four Fruits of Arhat’ step by step, long-term practice can also make my mind peaceful, non-attached, and obtain this great bliss.

This is an example. We, the spirits, rely on humans for breath and absorb their remaining energy. Although this method is slow, it is safe and not affected by cause and effect. If we persist, we can also cultivate into a human being.

Besides, if the little fox can turn the calamity around in the future, with this foundation of Buddhism, it will be easier for him to solve the mystery in the womb and open up his wisdom than for the Taoist monks."

Ji Ming nodded slightly. What Hu Lai Xi said did make sense. Buddhism focused more on cultivating the nature, while Taoism was about cultivating both nature and life. The former was easier to learn than to master, but once achieved, it would bring many benefits in the future.

"What can you teach me about the three secrets of Buddhism?"

Hu Laixi put his palms together and bowed, saying: "The wonderful truth of the three secrets is closely linked, profound and wonderful. Most Buddhist disciples who have just started to learn Buddhism do not know which secret to start with, or they only focus on the method of visualizing the deity of the hearing secret. In fact, they should start by practicing the Dharani Heart Mantra."

Seeing that Hu Laixi was talking eloquently and meaningfully, Ji Ming asked, "What is the use of the mantra?"

“The mantra is the beginning of Buddhism, and is intended to awaken the inner Dharma. Whether it is the deity visualized in the hearing tantra, or the sitting method, mudra, and offering rituals of the body tantra, the wisdom or Buddha power within must be awakened by the mantra.”

Ji Ming was very impressed. He had just realized this truth recently, so he sat down with Hu Laixi to discuss it.

"In ancient times, Dharani was a method used by the monks to memorize the various forms of Nagarjuna, including the forms of Buddha, Bodhisattva, Vajra, Vidyaraja, etc. Later, when the monks first gathered at the place where the Buddha attained enlightenment, they sorted out all the Dharani and created the Dharani mantras through the Buddha's enlightenment.

From then on, every Dharani mantra can awaken a Dharma image of the Buddha, allowing the Dharma image to reside in the heart and become the main deity of the person who practices the Dharani mantra, guiding him in his practice of Buddhism.

Ji Ming put his hands together and asked, "How many forms of the Buddha Longjia are there, or how many mantras are there in this world? In addition, how many people can invite this same form into their hearts and make it their main deity?"

“There are five Buddhist lineages in the world. The temples under each Buddhist lineage have Dharani mantras passed down. As for how many there are, I am sorry that I am not well versed in Buddhism and cannot know them all.

As for this same Dharma image, several people can invite it into their hearts and make it the original Buddha. In fact, young master, you already have the answer in your heart.

It is just a pity for the monks of Nanhai Baofa Temple. I don’t know how many of them practiced the fundamental mantra (Dharani) of the God of Wealth. After decades of hard practice, it was useless in one day. They could only recite the fundamental mantra of other deities, hoping to gain a cause and condition. "

Ji Ming was indeed lucky, and the monks in Baofa Temple who practiced the fundamental mantra of wealth were indeed pitiful.

Ji Ming was lucky in that he had some predestined relationships, but he was even luckier in that he gained enlightenment in front of the Buddha stele in Guangming Xianque, and had the foundation of the fourth level of Golden Elixir. This allowed him to obtain two predestined relationships at once and invite the "God of Wealth" to become his main deity.

Otherwise, the Buddhist path of this second soul body would not be so smooth.

Ghosts like Thousand-Handed Boy and Echo have been on the path of Buddhism for a long time. Have you ever seen that they have the causes and conditions to transform into the present world, so that you can visualize the entire appearance of the deity in your mind?

"A white lion with a green mane and a precious silver mouse."

Ji Ming pondered in his heart that if he wanted to quickly turn them into reality, he should choose the special lion monster and rat spirit.

At this moment, he subconsciously thought of Jin Ni'er and Shu Si. The former was hiding from disaster in Yuying Cave on Yuhua Mountain in Shenzhu Prefecture, and the latter seemed to be somewhere in the Southern Wilderness and there had been no news of him.

The cause and condition are passed on to his body. For other people and for cause and condition, these are all mutually reinforcing things. Why not pass on the seeds to the bodies of Jin Ni'er and the four mice?
