Chapter 6 A Night at the Museum!!!

"Hmm~"

At night, in the middle of the empty hall of the museum, Rango leaned on the chair at the service desk, stretched himself, and his face was full of boredom.

He had originally planned to explore the secrets of the haunted house he bought tonight, but he didn't expect that he would have to start work on the day of the interview.

"Hello~ audition~"

Teddy's voice broke the silence around him. He held a microphone connected to a loudspeaker and called in the empty hall. His voice echoed between the domes, adding a touch of liveliness to the silent night.

Rango, who was also extremely bored, was playing with the stun gun in his hand. The security job was good in every way except that it was too boring.

What surprised him was that security guards in the United States could carry guns without a certificate.

But don't underestimate the Taser gun in his hand. This thing is also called an "electric shock gun" in the United States. It has no bullets in it. It relies on firing charged "darts" to subdue the target. It can release 50,000 volts of high voltage electricity at the moment of hitting. A normal person will instantly lose the ability to move if hit.

Of course, although it sounds intimidating, this gun is not without its shortcomings. Its shooting range is only five meters.
Turning the stun gun, he glanced at the copper pillar beside him. Although he was wearing a simple security uniform, his reflection could not hide his handsomeness and elegance.

“You talking to me?”

Facing his own reflection, Rango imitated Robert De Niro's classic lines with a playful smile on his face.

“You talking to me?”

"Well, I'm the only one here~"

Teddy, who saw all of this, couldn't help but say helplessly: "Come on! Man! I really don't understand why you always have to imitate Robert De Niro every time you hold a gun."

"Besides Al Pacino and Eastwood, De Niro is my favorite movie star."

Rango said casually, then he adjusted his belt and stood up and walked towards the bathroom.

When passing an exhibition hall, he suddenly stopped.

"This is."

In front of him were two large glass cabinets that looked like sand tables. Inside were a bunch of miniature Roman buildings and hundreds of plastic figures. Leading the way was a general in armor. Looking at the introduction in front of the cabinet, this guy should be Octavian.

In the cabinet next to it was a group of guys in suits and work clothes. They were blasting tunnels and building railways. The introduction said that this was the scene when the American West was being developed.

But what caught his attention was a plastic man in work clothes standing on the locomotive.

Jeddie Smith.
For some reason, he always had an inexplicable sense of familiarity when he saw this guy and the miniature figure of Octavian.

Including the more than ten-meter-long Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton that he saw when he first entered the museum, he always felt like he had seen it somewhere.

"It seems like a movie, but which one is it?"

Shaking his head, Rango touched his chin and went into the bathroom.

The next second, a scream came from inside.

"I remember now! It's Night at the Museum!"

He didn't even have time to buckle his belt, and ran out, shouting, "Teddy, throw me that Security Manual!"

"what?"

Seeing his panicked look, Teddy touched his head blankly. When he was about to take the instruction manual on the table, a huge black shadow suddenly rose in front of him, accompanied by heavy breathing!
Teddy's body froze instantly, and he slowly turned his head to look behind him.
"Watfa!!!"

The Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton named Stan in front of the gate was opening its mouth wide towards him, and its sharp fangs were flashing coldly under the light!

Snapped--!
Before he could react, Stan's mouth slammed shut!

Rango leaped over and grabbed Teddy's neck and threw him aside, but the receptionist was not so lucky. He was bitten directly into a shocking gap! On the other side, Teddy had just gotten up from the ground when a group of Indians wearing animal skins appeared in front of him. They were holding stone axes and rushed towards him aggressively.

"Fake!"

He screamed and ran away in the other direction.

The museum's lobby was now in chaos.

In the 18th century, the British musketeers were fighting fiercely with the Hun king and his subordinates; Japanese samurai were waving samurai swords and looking for opponents; a group of barbarians were holding wooden sticks and smashing anything they saw; knights in armor were galloping on their horses in the hall.

There were even roars of wild beasts coming from upstairs!

What on earth is going on? It was fine just a second ago.
Teddy ran away and shouted, "Rango! Think of a solution! How come all these specimens came alive!"

"You wouldn't understand even if I told you!"

At this moment, Rango was too busy explaining all this. He rolled sideways to avoid the Tyrannosaurus Rex's tail, then picked up the "Security Guide" in his hand and began to read it hastily.

"Number one - throw a bone."

"bone?!"

Rango was stunned. Where could he find bones in the middle of the night?

Bang-dang——!
The next second, a bone as thick as his arm and as long as his thigh fell from the air.

Such a coincidence? !

Rango quickly picked up the bone at his feet. The Tyrannosaurus Rex Stan, who was rushing towards him, suddenly stopped and stared at the bone in his hand.

Seeing this, Rango tentatively threw the bone to the left, and Stan immediately ran out, rushing towards the bone not far away like a puppy chasing a frisbee!
After seeing him leave, Rango hurriedly continued to look through the manual.

"Second Rule - Close the Window"

He looked up at the museum which was in a mess and shook his head helplessly. It was too late to close it now.

"Rule 3 - Remember to lock the door to the wildlife exhibition hall"

Wildlife exhibition hall.
He quickly recalled the location of the exhibition hall in his mind, which should be on the third floor.

"OK!"

He rolled up the manual and stuffed it into his belt, then glanced around the messy hall and said softly, "First lock the door to the animal hall, and then put you specimens and sculptures in the window!"

After taking a few deep breaths, Rango took out the electric gun in his hand and prepared to go upstairs. However, as soon as he turned around, a huge black shadow enveloped him!

Stan was running towards him, chewing on the bone he had just thrown and wagging his tail.

Just as Rango was about to run away, the guy suddenly shook his head and threw the bone in front of him again, and then he lay on the ground with his upper body, sticking his butt out and shaking his tail vigorously.
"You want me to play with you?"

Rango carefully picked up the bones on the ground. He had discovered that Stan was missing a rib from his chest, which was obviously the one in his hand.

It seems that it had deliberately thrown the bone to me before.

Having come up with an idea in his mind, Rango secretly breathed a sigh of relief. He shook the bone in his hand, then aimed in the right direction and threw it farther away with all his strength.

Fortunately, the museum was spacious enough, and in the blink of an eye, the bones disappeared from his sight.

Stan, who had been ready to go, immediately ran over happily, twisting his butt and wagging his tail wildly.

This posture looks like a dog no matter how you look at it!
