The Queen of Scrolls never admits defeat

From that day on, the lively "egg" became Sylph's inseparable little follower.

While Sylph and the witches sat in the garden enjoying afternoon tea, "Egg" would wriggle on the cushions and bounce around every now and then, determined to get her mother's attention.

As Sylph and the witches were engrossed in discussing magical knowledge, it hopped around happily, as if cheering for their progress.

The most interesting thing is that when Sylph goes to tend the plantation, "Egg" will eagerly bounce around, urging Stump to hurry up, afraid of losing her mother.

The witches were envious, wishing they could have a clingy egg baby right away.

Unfortunately, Sylph's research on the mutated Tree of Life is not yet finished, and we will have to wait a little longer.

Thus, Sylph's "egg baby" became the witches' true "darling".

Less than three months later, several tender green saplings suddenly sprouted on the grass around the mutated Tree of Life, and they grew bigger and bigger.

“They are maple saplings,” Sylph crouched down to examine them closely, her brow furrowing slightly. “Strange, how could saplings grow in this meadow?”

Logically, the roots of the mutated Tree of Life should have already occupied this land, leaving no room for other plants to grow.

"Why don't we go down and take a look?"

As Moran spoke, he used the otherworldly magic "Earth Escape Technique" he had learned from the {Knowledge Card} and was the first to burrow underground.

This magic, brought back from another world by a top-tier witch, was uploaded to the Book of Cards many years ago and made into {Knowledge Cards}, which were then listed in the witch's version of the card shop. Moran discovered it and immediately recommended it to her friends.

“This root system is more in line with the size of its trunk and crown,” Sylph said thoughtfully. “Perhaps it has already transformed into an ordinary tree. No matter how much energy I’ve poured into it these past few months, there’s been no sign of it bearing fruit again.”

"Isn't the Elven Tree of Life able to bear fruit continuously?" Moran asked.

“Yes,” Sylph nodded, “all elves are fruits of the same Tree of Life.”

“Perhaps after the mutation, it will become a special existence that can only bear one fruit,” Lilith speculated. “Just like how we witches can only have one child in our lifetime. I just don’t know if this mutated Tree of Life can only be planted once.”

Sylph's eyes gleamed with curiosity: "Since the old roots are already rotten, I'll try planting another one."

As she spoke, she summoned the Box of Myriad Seeds, preparing to re-condense a seed of the mutated Tree of Life.

Back on the ground, as Sylph prepared to stimulate the growth of new seeds, Vasita suddenly exclaimed, "Where's the egg?"

The witches searched the entire meadow before finally finding the egg baby, covered in mud, and the stump-like wood still digging at the ground in a large pit next to the maple sapling.

"What are you doing?" Sylph asked, exasperated.

"Mommy! Mommy!" The little egg was completely unaware of what it had become, only feeling joy at seeing its mother again.

Dundun Wood seemed to sense that its owner's mood was a bit subtle, and tried hard to pry up the tree roots to remove the soil from the top of the egg's shell.

However, its root system is not long enough to reach even a little bit.

But the baby egg kept jumping around.

"Soil! Dig! Find Mommy!"

Sylph then realized that they had burrowed underground, and Egg Baby had gotten anxious, so Dun Dun Wood had led it to dig.

She used a cleaning spell to clean both the egg and the log, and then let the log bring the egg out.

"That's great, we don't need to dig a hole anymore, we can just plant it here," Moran said, pointing to the hole dug by the stump.

Sylph nodded, filled in some soil, turning the large pit into a smaller one, and then directly sprouted the mutated Tree of Life seed in her hand and planted it.

Then they transplanted the maple tree next to it to a distant grove of trees.

This time, Moran and the others witnessed the growth process of the mutated Tree of Life firsthand.
