Chapter 905: Observing Self-Resilience through Humanity

"It is not necessarily worse for him to practice Taoism in this life than to follow me in the next life."

"In the past, he practiced with me for hundreds of thousands of times, but he was still unable to gain enlightenment, to realize the emptiness of all dharmas, and to see his true nature. This is my fault. If he can see through his obsessions this time, be at peace with himself, and attain Bodhi, it would be a great blessing."

"Hundreds of thousands of kalpas?"

Chu Tai repeated in a low voice, unable to understand whether the hundreds of thousands of kalpas mentioned by the National Master Wang Bodhisattva in front of him really referred to more than 16,798 trillion years, or was just a general term for the majority.

After all, if we really calculate according to the time of kalpa, it is impossible to say that he has practiced with the National Master Wang Bodhisattva hundreds of thousands of times.

But even if it is only hundreds of millions of times, it is still a very scary number.

'How many times did this time period repeat?'

The State Master Wang Bodhisattva seemed to have seen some of Chu Tai's doubts. He put his hands together and said, "Your Majesty, you are still in the calamity and cannot understand the truth. If you have doubts and want to know the truth quickly, you might as well go to the Heavenly Palace and ask the Supreme Lord of the Golden Palace."

While speaking, the Bodhisattva stared at Chu Tai, and seeing that he did not move, he said, "If you do not want to return to heaven, you can go to Lingshan in the west and ask the Tathagata."

"Apart from the Emperor of Heaven and Tathagata, who else can give me guidance?"

Hearing this, the Bodhisattva looked empty and sad, and sighed, "I have practiced for many lifetimes, and have overcome thousands of demonic obstacles, but I have only managed to gain a glimmer of hope. I can only save myself, but not others. Otherwise, I would not have allowed that child to reincarnate until now. He calls himself a Bodhisattva, but in fact he is just a self-sacrificing person."

Chu Tai pointed at the spiritual light gradually emerging from the Dead Sea and said, "Isn't the Bodhisattva saving all living beings now?"

"After all, the universe is just a combination of the four elements. You cannot escape from the present universe. The so-called salvation is just a pipe dream. When fate comes together in the future, you will still sink into the sea of ​​suffering and will never be liberated."

As he spoke, the Bodhisattva seemed to be worried that Chu Tai did not understand the danger, so he specifically explained to him the hardships he had experienced during his own practice.

"Emperor, please don't think that what I said is exaggerating. Back then, I could be considered to have accumulated a lot of knowledge and reached a high level. I was able to transcend the four illusions and understand my true self. After going through hundreds of thousands of kalpas of hard training, I still had to hold the determination to die if I failed, and I sat in the death gate in Xuyi Mountain in Southern Continent for a thousand years."

"During those thousand years, I was constantly fighting demons from within and without. Many times, I couldn't tell what was real and what was fake. It can be said that there was no moment without danger."

Looking at the somewhat frightened National Master Wang Bodhisattva, Chu Tai frowned slightly and spoke to comfort him: "But Bodhisattva, you have finally defeated all demons with your supreme concentration and wisdom, and you have achieved freedom."

"It's not that easy. Although I was reflecting emptiness and clarity at that time, and had forgotten myself, I had no thoughts at all. Not having any demons arise was just the beginning. The real difficulty was how to maintain it and how to transcend it. At that time, I was actually limited by this state."

The National Master Wang Bodhisattva looked at Chu Tai, his eyes were like glass, reflecting Chu Tai's appearance.

"If your mind is still, it is difficult to be liberated. If your mind is slightly moved, the devil will immediately take advantage of the opportunity to enter. This cycle repeats over and over again, and there is no liberation."

Upon hearing this, Chu Tai thought for a moment, and as soon as his mind moved, the look in the eyes of National Master Wang Bodhisattva immediately changed.

Seeing this scene and comparing it with the power of the demon in the previous period of time, he suddenly understood the difficulty.

To put it bluntly, the problem faced by Wang Bodhisattva, the national teacher who tried to break through that year, was the question of whether to have intention or not, to have thoughts or not, what is there and what is not there.

For him who used the void to destroy all demons, as long as he had the idea of ​​​​coming out after success, the disappearing demonic thoughts would immediately reappear and make him fall into the demonic calamity.

If he has no intention of coming out of seclusion, he must maintain his reflection of emptiness and clarity, and be in a state of extinction where no thoughts arise or arise. He is outside the four elements and cannot interfere with the human world, which is the same as being dead.

It can be said that if thoughts arise, you lose; if thoughts disappear, you also lose.

This cycle leads to an awkward situation where one cannot move forward or backward. Most importantly, the three emptinesses of self-emptiness, dharma-emptiness, and emptiness-emptiness cannot be used to force an explanation here.

After all, the principle of the three emptinesses seems to be about not being attached to personal identity; knowing that phenomena are relative and have no fixed essence; transcending the binary oppositional thinking mode of [existence] or [non-existence], and realizing the [middle way reality] that is neither empty nor existent, but also empty and existent.

In fact, the Middle Way Reality is difficult to realize in reality.

At least it cannot be implemented in the current world.
The current heaven and earth are created by Yuan Qi. The so-called neither empty nor existent, but both empty and existent, can only be a characteristic of the innate Tao Qi.

Without sufficient status and cultivation, forcing oneself to reach the state of "Middle Way Reality" which is neither empty nor existent, but also empty and existent, will only make oneself independent from the heaven and earth and fall into the embarrassing situation of being unable to interfere in the world.

"It sounds like the higher the level of Buddhist cultivation, the heavier the demonic calamity. I wonder what the immortal way of transcendence is?"

Chu Tai pondered in his heart, leaning his body slightly to express his gratitude to the National Master Wang Bodhisattva.

The Bodhisattva hurriedly dodged, and Chu Tai bowed again, but the other party still dodged, so Chu Tai gave up.

Chu Tai continued to ask about the immortal way of transcendence. The national teacher Wang Bodhisattva thought for a moment and said, "The foundation of the immortal way lies in the two words Yuan Qi. According to this theory, all things in the world are born from the transformation of Qi, and all things in the universe are just the movement of Yuan Qi."

"I know this very well. The so-called fire is nothing but the rising of Qi."

Chu Tai stretched out his hand and lightly touched the void. A faint smoke emerged, which instantly turned from light to thick and suddenly turned into a blazing flame, rising and dancing.

"Earth is the gathering and precipitation of Qi..."

With a clap of his hands, the flames suddenly condensed and a lot of gravel appeared inside.

"Gold is the Qi that descends and purifies..."

He lifted his fingers slightly, and the turbid air of the gravel faded away, revealing a slight metallic luster inside.

In the blink of an eye, Chu Tai used Yuan Qi to evolve the changes of the Five Elements, as well as wind, thunder, ice, etc. at his fingertips. He even used Yuan Qi to interpret life and death and time and space, which left the National Master Wang Bodhisattva stunned.

And when Chu Tai performed three mysterious auras on top of many Yuan Qi, the National Master Wang Bodhisattva could no longer sit still.

"Three Pure Ones?"

The Bodhisattva was just about to say something when he saw a ray of light emerging from under the Three Pure Ones' Yuanqi, emitting infinite light, manifesting infinite life, and showing infinite wisdom.

Chu Tai himself became transparent. His body first developed the texture of jade and crystal, looking crystal clear, and then turned from the crystal texture into foam, appearing empty and hollow, and finally disappeared completely, entering a state of nothingness.

"To be in harmony with the Tao?"

The Bodhisattva's expression changed slightly, and he expressed the same doubt as the Immortal Lord of Morality in the past. Chu Tai's changes were also the same as before. As circles of ripples gradually emerged in the void, his body emerged again from the intersection of the ripples.

Relying on the Taiyi Daoguo, Chu Tai, who had returned from the perspective of all living beings, looked back at the National Master Wang Bodhisattva, with a hint of weirdness in his eyes.

"So, this is how you see me!"
