Captain Jack of Azeroth
Chapter 79 Goblin Bomb
Chapter 79 Goblin Bomb
"What are you going to do?" Jack raised his hand quickly, "I have no hostility."
The Paladin Captain said in a cold voice: "Surrender obediently. If you dare to resist, I will kill you directly."
Jack was speechless. He wanted to escape. But Veresa was watching him closely, so it might not be that easy to escape. He could only watch as a paladin came over and tied his hands.
The captain waved his hand and asked the paladins to take Jack with them. Then he said to Vereesa courteously, "Madam, please move to our camp. We will prepare some supplies for your next move."
Hearing the captain's frivolous behavior, Jack tilted his head and said to the Paladin beside him: "Is he a licking dog?"
The Paladin almost laughed out loud and looked at the captain warily. The captain looked at him with a dark face, raised his sword and hit Jack on the shoulder with the hilt, "Shut your stinky mouth, if you dare to talk nonsense again, I will kill you now."
Jack felt pain, but the smile on his face did not fade. Anyone who has been hunted for more than a year would have a lot of resentment in his heart. He felt much better after insulting the Paladin Captain.
The group came to a watchtower, where the Paladins were stationed. On the way, the captain of the Paladins introduced himself, saying that his name was Duncan and he was the garrison officer of the watchtower.
The paladins prepared rich food to entertain Vereesa. While eating, they asked Vereesa, "Ms. Vereesa, you must have important things to do away from the land of elves. If you don't mind, can you tell us about it? Maybe we can help you in some way."
Vereesa thought about it and realized that she really needed help in the current situation. So she said, "I am on my first ranger mission, escorting Ronin to Harsk Harbor. But our supplies and horses were destroyed by the dragon."
Duncan's eyes lit up and he suggested, "Ma'am, why don't we escort you to Harsk Harbor tomorrow morning? Recently, there have been orc dragon riders causing trouble nearby, making our lives uneasy."
Veresa readily agreed, "Great! We will be much safer with your escort."
Ronin stayed in a corner depressed. He didn't want to be escorted by the Paladins. But since Veresa had already made the decision, he couldn't refuse.
Maybe it was useless to refuse, as Duncan was obviously fascinated by Vereesa's beauty.
That's right, who can resist the beauty of an elf? Even General Turalyon, the most talented general of mankind, fell in love with Alleria, didn't he?
After thinking for a while, he stood up, picked up some food, and walked towards Jack.
Jack was very anxious, and kept shouting in his heart: Don't come over here, don't come over here...
Luo Ning walked up to him and said, "You should eat something too!"
The paladins looked over immediately and looked at Jack unhappily, but did not stop Ronin from giving Jack food.
Jack forced a smile to make himself look calm, "Thank you, kind sir--"
He held his hands tightly together and took the food carefully, fearing that the loosened rope would fall off. He slowly stuffed the bread into his mouth and swallowed it in big mouthfuls, looking like he was starving.
"You are welcome."
Ronin turned and left, walking up the stairs to the top of the sentry tower. The paladins continued to drink and no longer paid attention to Jack.
After everyone turned around, he quickly twisted the rope a few times, making it look more like it wanted to be tied around his hands.
Fortunately, these careless guys didn't notice anything unusual.
At this moment, a loud noise suddenly came from the watchtower, startling everyone. Jack also stood up in shock and looked up to see what happened.
When he lowered his head, he saw that everyone was looking at him.
Duncan's face was gloomy and he shouted angrily, "Catch him!" Jack realized that he was exposed. He didn't care about anything else and immediately rushed to the door.
The Paladin had been on guard against him for a long time! He rushed to the door in a few steps and blocked the way.
But Jack turned around and rushed to the stairs and climbed up very quickly.
"Follow me!"
Duncan rushed up in a rage and climbed up the sentry tower right after Jack. As soon as he climbed up, he saw Jack carrying a package on his back and then suddenly jumped down from the sentry tower.
In mid-air, the package broke open and a parachute emerged, carrying Jack away gradually.
"Damn it!"
Duncan hammered the stairs angrily, and then he noticed the mess on the watchtower. Two guards fell to the ground in the bricks and stones, their bodies burnt.
He looked around and became angry again, "Damn the wizard, he actually killed my brother and ran away."
Vereesa also rushed over, jumped onto the ruins, and carefully checked the conditions of the two dead. "It wasn't Ronin who did it. It wasn't magic that killed them, but gunpowder."
Duncan said angrily: "He is in cahoots with that pirate. He just helped the pirate escape."
Veresa shook her head. "Duncan, calm down. The pirate had already untied the rope. When Ronin gave Jack food just now, didn't you notice anything wrong with Jack?"
Duncan looked at Vereesa and asked, "You knew the pirate untied the rope, why didn't you say it?"
Seeing Duncan's suspicious look, Vereesa quickly explained, "I just thought of that, too. Duncan, you should know that I don't know much about you humans. The pirate is called Jack Sparrow, and according to Ronin, he's very famous."
"Jack Sparrow?"
The Paladins looked at each other in surprise; they didn't expect that the pirate they captured was the famous Jack Sparrow.
Duncan calmed down. "So he is Jack Sparrow, the legendary pirate who roamed the Storm Kingdom and Kul Tiras."
Veresa was a little confused. How did Jack become a legendary pirate again?
But this was not the time to ask questions, the priority now was to find Ronin. She persuaded Duncan to ask the paladins to help search around.
According to her guess, the attack just now could not kill Roning. Perhaps Roning was blown out of the watchtower by the air wave and fell to the ground.
As they were searching, a strange wind blew in. When they opened their eyes again, Roning had already appeared among them.
Duncan immediately rushed over and asked, "Master, did you kill my two brothers?"
Roning quickly said, "That explosion was not caused by me, it was caused by the goblin bomb."
Vereesa said quickly, "I just said that it was an explosion caused by gunpowder. I heard that during the Orc War, many goblins were hired by the orcs. Since the orc dragon riders appeared here, there is a high possibility that goblins are also present."
After hearing what Veresa said, Duncan temporarily put aside his doubts.
This may be the only chapter today. If there is no update, I will definitely make it up tomorrow.
