Captain Jack of Azeroth
Chapter 27 Sentenced to Hanging
Chapter 27 Sentenced to Hanging
Boom-boom-boom-boom-boom…
The shells fell on the merchant ship like crazy. The white flag of the merchant ship was raised, but the mast was broken by the shells and fell into the sea.
Jack felt bad. War was cruel. When he was in the Third Fleet, he had no psychological burden no matter how many orcs he killed. But killing humans was different. Humans were his identity in this world. Killing humans for no reason made him feel guilty.
Without the mast, the merchant ship lacked power and was soon caught up by the Fortune. Captain Nedro ordered the bombardment to stop and let the pirates engage in a boarding battle. After all, shells cost money, and the death of the pirates would save money.
"Kill everyone and take anything valuable from the ship."
Jack also jumped onto the merchant ship. There were no more people on the deck. The pirates rushed into the cabin, and the humans inside fought back. The pirates were unable to break in for a while.
"boom!"
There was a heavy noise on the deck, and Jack's heart tightened. Captain Nedro actually sent a heavy punch over.
If a heavy punch is delivered, all the people on the merchant ship will die. Thinking of this, Jack pushed the pirates aside and came to the front line.
The merchant ship guard saw Jack and attacked immediately. Jack didn't even draw his sword, but reached out and grabbed the guard's hand, twisted him and pressed him against the bulkhead, knocking him out. The guard behind the guard came up to stop Jack, but was still easily subdued and knocked out by Jack.
When Chong Quan squeezed into the cabin, he saw the pirates standing there, motionless.
"What are you doing? Why aren't you doing anything?"
When he came to the front of the crowd, he saw humans lying on the ground. At the end of the passage, Jack knocked the last human unconscious, turned around and greeted him easily, "Anu, why are you here too?"
Chong Quan looked at Jack with a serious expression, "It seems that you need to have a good talk with the captain."
Jack revealed his extremely strong skills, which shocked the pirates. Is this the guy they always bully?
Thinking about the tricks they had used on Jack before, he suddenly felt a chill on the back of his neck, as if a sharp knife was pressed against it.
Jack knew this would be the result before he took action, so he walked up to Chong Quan calmly and stretched out his hands, "Anu, promise me that you will leave them a chance to live."
Heavy Fist was silent. He tied Jack's hands and said, "Take those who are still alive back and hand them over to the captain for disposal."
The pirates sprang into action, carrying the knocked-out human back to the Rich.
Captain Nedro frowned at the captives. The development of the situation was obviously beyond his expectations. He walked up to Jack and asked sharply, "Jack, who are you?"
Jack told the truth, "I am from Storm Kingdom, and later served in the Third Fleet of Kul Tiras. So, if you ask me to massacre my compatriots, I'm sorry I can't do it."
Captain Nedlo asked in a gloomy voice, "Is this also the reason why you asked me to release the Stormwind merchant ship a year ago?"
"That's part of the reason."
Hearing Jack's confession, the troll pirates immediately started to make a fuss. "Captain, I said he had impure intentions. Now he has admitted it himself. He must be punished."
"That's right, kill this traitor!"
"He has been pretending before. He must have some hidden secrets."
The human pirates didn't want Jack to die like this, because due to their number, their status on the ship was lower than that of the troll pirates. If Jack survived, their status would be improved with Jack's force. "When Jack was rescued aboard, no one asked about his origins."
"Are you scared?"
"Do you think we're like you trolls? Killing our own people and eating them?"
The two sides immediately started arguing, which made Captain Nedro very upset. He did not expect that just dealing with Jack would cause the pirates to split into two groups.
He looked at Chong Quan, who stomped his feet hard, causing the boat to shake violently. Everyone stopped and became extremely well-behaved, as if the quarrel just now had not existed.
Captain Nadro glanced at everyone and shouted, "It is my right to decide how to deal with him."
Jack interrupted at this time, "Captain, you can do whatever you want with me. But please, don't hurt these prisoners. You can let them sign the same agreement as me, so that you can get more than ten free laborers."
Captain Nedro was tempted, as Jack's proposal was indeed in his interest. However, he was not ready to let Jack go, as he could see that Jack had become an unstable factor.
Goblins don't like any other instability except bombs.
"Jack, you signed an agreement with me, so you are mine. I understand why you did this, but I cannot forgive your behavior."
Captain Nedro walked up to the bridge and announced condescendingly: "I declare you to be hanged!"
"Now, take him to the cargo hold and lock him up. When we return to Booty Bay, execute him immediately!"
The troll pirates cheered, they wanted to kill Jack because they were afraid that Jack would come after them. They had bullied Jack too badly before, if they were Jack, they would not let him go.
The human pirates were somewhat dissatisfied, but they did not express it. They wanted Jack to improve his status on the ship, and now with more than a dozen human captives joining, they could also achieve this goal, and Jack would become less important. What they were dissatisfied with was that Captain Nedro did not take their feelings into consideration and actually wanted to take Jack back to Booty Bay to be hanged.
Hanging is a punishment created by the human kingdom to punish pirates. In order to enhance the warning effect, the bodies of hanged pirates will be hung on the cliffs by the sea to warn pirates in nearby waters: This is your end!
Later, pirates also adopted this punishment and used it specifically to deal with traitors.
In the south of Treasure Bay, there is a cliff where pirates used to hang traitors. This was the most severe punishment for pirates.
Although Jack disobeyed the captain's order, he cannot be simply treated as a traitor. The goblin captain did this, obviously influenced by the troll pirates.
He led Jack into the cargo hold with a heavy punch, and after locking the door, he whispered, "Jack, why are you doing this?"
The only friend he truly acknowledged on the ship was Jack, as the other pirates were afraid of his strength and appearance and didn't dare to communicate with him much.
Jack smiled and said, "Anu, this is my code of conduct, and I will not change it."
Chong Quan was silent for a moment, "Well, good luck to you."
"May the earth protect you, my friend."
He looked at the wooden board under his feet with a heavy fist: I have left the earth, can the earth still protect me?
