Captain Jack of Azeroth

Chapter 20 Underwater Prison

Chapter 20 Underwater Prison
When Jack woke up again, he was imprisoned in a cell.

It’s still an underwater prison!

A transparent film is connected between the bars of the cell, turning the cell into a bubble and blocking the entry of seawater.

Outside the prison, several Nagas were guarding. When they saw him wake up, some of them left immediately. After a while, the Naga came back with a group of Nagas, led by a female Naga.

Naga women are slimmer than males, but unlike male Nagas who are like beasts, they are wise. They have four hands and can use four weapons at the same time. Moreover, each of them is a wizard with strong spellcasting ability, so people generally call female Nagas Naga witches.

The Naga witch came to the prison and said in Common Language: "Human, what is your name?"

"Jack Sparrow!"

"Sparrow?" The witch frowned. She had never heard of this last name. She looked up and saw a hint of teasing in Jack's eyes. She immediately realized that this guy had given a false name.

Jack raised his lips. He knew the witch saw that he was using a fake name. But so what? He didn't even know his real name. If the witch could find out his real name, he might even thank her.

The witch didn't care about real names or fake names. "Mr. Sparrow, can you tell me why you are still alive now?"

Jack was stunned for a moment, and said inexplicably: "Why can't I live?"

He thought about it and couldn't remember how he got here. He only remembered hearing a loud noise and then losing consciousness.

"You knocked me out?"

The witch stretched out a hand, condensed a ball of lightning on it, and said lightly: "I cast forked lightning to kill you. But after you were struck by lightning, you just fainted, so they captured you back."

Jack looked at her suspiciously. Was I struck by lightning?
"What did you say? Jack was struck by lightning?" Fitzmoss looked at the captain of the guard in disbelief.

The captain of the guard nodded. "We saw it with our own eyes. Jack was struck by lightning and fell off the boat. Then he was dragged into the sea by the Nagas. They seemed to have a huge hatred for him and even took his body."

"Perhaps they have the custom of cannibalism, just like the trolls."

“No wonder so many fishermen were attacked and their bodies have not been found.”

Several guards speculated that apart from this explanation, they really didn't know why Naga took away Jack's body.

Fitzmoss didn't think so, "Maybe Jack is not dead."

"How is that possible!" The guard couldn't help laughing. "That was lightning. Even an Alterac Yeti couldn't survive it, let alone a human."

The captain glared at the guard, "Did you see the yeti being killed by lightning?"

The guard laughed and said, "I was just making a metaphor."

Fizmos waved his hand, he didn't care about the guard's ridicule. During this period, he had faced death many times, but he was still alive until now, he had become a bit nervous. If Jack was here, he might also make fun of him, after all, it was incredible that someone could survive being struck by lightning. Although he was sure that Jack was still alive, Fizmos was powerless to save him. Stromgarde was a mountainous country, not good at fighting in the sea, not to mention that they were facing the overlord of the sea, the Naga.

Even a powerful navy like the Kul Tiras would have a headache facing the Naga.

They also had no accurate information about the Naga's lair, and searching the sea was like looking for a needle in a haystack. However, since the Naga took Jack away, it meant that they did not want to kill Jack.

It seems that Jack's luck saved his life again.

There was a hint of jealousy in Fitzmos's worry. He also wanted to have the luck to save his life.

Seeing that he was in good spirits, the captain of the guards did not say anything to comfort him. "Your wound will be healed in the next few days. I will send someone to take you to Nanhai Town. The orcs' attacks have been fierce during this period, so it would be good to have a fresh force."

Fizmos nodded. He was already a little impatient to return to the battlefield. Admiral Daelin would definitely praise him for surviving this time, and might even promote him to captain.

And so, a few days later, Fizmos arrived at Southshore Town along with the transport team from Stromgarde.

When they arrived at Nanhai Town, the war was over. Nanhai Town was mostly destroyed, and there were corpses everywhere. The soldiers carried all the corpses to the cemetery. They dug a big pit, threw all the orc corpses in it, and buried them together. Individual graves were dug for human corpses, and they were buried after a farewell ceremony.

Fizzmos was upset to attend the funeral right after returning. But what made him even more upset was that Admiral Daelin Proudmoore was trapped in a demon barrier. His son Derek was killed by the red dragon, and he wanted to avenge his son. If it weren't for everyone's obstruction, he would probably have taken all the warships of Kul Tiras to chase the orc fleet protected by the red dragon.

Under such circumstances, Dai Lin didn't even have the mood to see him, let alone get a promotion.

At night, Fitzmos sat on the side of the boat, drinking alone, and inexplicably began to miss the days when he fled with Jack.

Jack also missed the days of fleeing, he looked at the grouper in front of him with despair. He liked eating fish very much, but he had never eaten a fish that was alive and kicking.

The Nagas were puzzled as they watched Jack wait for the grouper but refused to eat it. Grouper is a very delicious fish, so why doesn't this human like it?
Jack looked at the Nagas in silence, "I don't eat raw fish."

Unfortunately, the Nagas could not understand what he said.

Jack looked at it, pointed at the dagger on the weapon rack next to him, then pointed at the grouper and made a cutting motion.

The Nagas looked at each other and felt that Jack was in the cell and a dagger didn't seem to pose any threat, so they threw the dagger into the cell.

Jack picked up the dagger, scraped off the scales of the grouper, removed the skin, wiped off the stains, cut the fish meat into pieces and put them into his mouth. He could only eat sashimi since he couldn't cook it, and he didn't know if there were any parasites in the grouper.

The fish fillet tasted very fresh. If it wasn't incompatible with Jack's eating habits, Jack would definitely like this delicacy.

The Nagas were puzzled about the way Jack ate. Could it taste good if he ate it this way?
A Naga decided to give it a try. After taking a bite of the sashimi, he seemed to have opened the door to a new world.

Something called delicacy appeared before him.
