Chapter 88, page 1.7, section 5: Lias's Voyage
A grand ball brings together all the cruise ship's guests, providing a perfect opportunity for nobles to hunt for women, while for players it's the best chance to observe.

They can learn who the players are and whether they will become enemies through the dance.

Mu Yegui stood in front of the buffet table, holding a small plate. Her cool eyes swept over the desserts on the table, as if she was thinking about what she wanted to eat.

A black backless dress accentuated her sexiness; unlike her usual long gowns, this one barely reached her knees. Her long, misty gray hair was loosely braided into three braids and tied at the back of her head, adorned with a dazzling ruby.

A hand reached out from the table in front of her and placed a bottle of juice in front of her. Mu Yegui slightly raised her eyes and looked in the direction of the hand—it was Shui Qi.

Shui Qi was dressed in a black tuxedo, his dark, tousled hair neatly styled, highlighting his handsome appearance. He winked at Mu Yegui and greeted her, "Yo! We meet again."

Mu Yegui gave Shui Qi an elegant aristocratic bow, then asked, "Is there something you need?"

"Can I say that I haven't given up on inviting you?" Shui Qi slightly straightened her clothes, casually reached behind her back and made a gesture, then pretended nothing had happened and continued chatting with Mu Yegui.

Not far away, Dao Lin, carrying a tray, glanced at the person who had left after seeing the gesture, then took a few steps forward without making a sound, chuckling as he handed the champagne on the tray to a nearby lady. Taking advantage of the conversation, he moved his foot, tripping another waiter who was walking in front of him.

"Ah!" A scream echoed throughout the banquet hall.

Mu Yegui paused for a moment and looked toward the noisy area. There were about three or four people who had been splashed with champagne by the fallen waiter. Among them, three women were chatting at the time of the incident.

Shui Qi frowned; this scene was not part of his plan.

"You seem to be in a bad mood." Mu Yegui glanced at Shui Qi thoughtfully. Although his expression was as calm as ever, his tone was very serious.

"I've been getting rejected a lot lately. If Horus finds out, I'm afraid I'll get yelled at again. Just thinking about it makes me feel really bad," Shui Qi said, rubbing her forehead in distress.

Her narrow blue eyes held a hint of grievance, as if she could only completely relax in front of Mu Yegui.

"Thank you for your hard work." Mu Yegui stood on tiptoe to pat Shui Qi's shoulder, but because he was short, he could only touch it with his fingertips.

"You understand, right? A heartless boss will exploit his subordinates!" Shui Qi said tearfully, covering his face. But in reality, his narrow blue eyes flashed with cold calculation, which disappeared without a trace after he lowered his hand, as if he was really complaining about his boss.

Mu Yegui nodded expressionlessly, agreeing with his words, but in her heart she was thinking about Shui Qi's purpose in approaching her, which could definitely not be as simple as just chatting.

She picked up the tongs to put a piece of cake on her plate, but bumped into another pair of tongs that were also being offered, making a crisp sound.

"Sorry, you can go first." Fernana smiled apologetically at Mu Yegui, then took back the clips.

"Thank you," Mu Yegui said, then unceremoniously placed the last piece of cake onto his own plate.

"Huh? It's gone? But I really liked that cake~" After hearing Fernana's words, Lias became depressed as if he had heard bad news.

"Waaaaah, I want it, I want it, I want it!!!" Lias cried and fussed, then ran to Mu Yegui and tugged at her skirt, saying pitifully, "I want to eat this cake too."

The last person who wanted to get cake from Mu Yegui was so angry that they cried, which is enough to prove Mu Yegui's 'cold-bloodedness'.

With cool, silver eyes, Mu Yegui stared silently at Lias. He didn't speak, and the latter felt a little flustered by his gaze. However, the temptation of the cake made him straighten his back and look directly at Mu Yegui, unwilling to admit defeat.

Ten seconds. Twenty seconds.

Thirty seconds.

One minute.

Unable to bear the silence any longer, Lias finally spoke, "I think..."

Mu Yegui interrupted Lias, saying calmly, "Fine, you lost. So now the cake is mine."

"Huh?" Lias was completely bewildered. So the reason they didn't speak was because whoever spoke first in the competition lost. He should have known better than to say anything!
Lias watched as the delicious cake was cut open and pierced with a dessert fork. He couldn't help but open his mouth, and a few strands of saliva could be seen at the corners of his lips.

Mu Yegui didn't give Lias any look, and directly put the cake on the fork into her mouth, even commenting, "It's delicious." Although she had no sense of taste and couldn't taste anything.

Tears welled up in Lias's eyes; this person was bullying him!

Waaaaah! They even bully such a cute little boy, even though all the older girls like him so much!!

Mu Yegui was completely oblivious to the fact that she had made another child cry. She casually placed her hand on Lias's forehead as if stroking a dog's head, and said in a serious tone, "Are you a girl? Why do you cry so much?"

"Who, who said that! I'm not a girl! I, Lias, am a grown man!!" Lias took a step back, his voice a little hesitant, but then he remembered something and said bravely.

"Oh," Mu Yegui responded, glancing casually at Shui Qi before handing the juice in front of him to Lias, saying, "This is a gift from your uncle."

So Shui Qi watched helplessly as Lias drank the juice he had given Mu Yegui, his lips twitching slightly. He had added a little something extra, and although he hadn't expected to be able to scheme against Mu Yegui, he now inexplicably felt like he had dug a hole for himself.

After taking a sip, Lias smacked his lips and asked in confusion, "It has a strange taste."

"Because we added a little something extra, congratulations, young master." Mu Yegui clapped his hands earnestly at Lias, seemingly genuinely congratulating him.

Lias: "..."

The advantage of having a keen sense of smell is that you can tell the moment a glass of juice appears that something strange has been added to it.

Although she didn't know what was added to it, it was probably something like a laxative or sleeping pill. Even if it didn't work on her, even if she lost her sense of taste, she didn't want to drink this strange stuff. It made it seem like she was indiscriminate in her choices, even though she usually paid a lot of attention to her appearance.

Mu Yin really wanted to complain that there was no connection between the two. Mu Yegui just wanted to emphasize that she was a face-obsessed person without any principles. Anything that had been embellished was ugly, so she rejected anything ugly.

It's really very simple and easy to understand. Mu Yin thinks Mu Yegui is just a naive and innocent girl. If a good-looking person beckons to her, she will follow him without any principles.

If the "naive and innocent" character really is like Mu Yegui, then Mu Yin probably misunderstands those three words, because Mu Yegui is a genuine, albeit hidden, sadist.
